Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

This is an interesting article about lowering oil prices and the world situation:

From Russia With Love – A related article in SunNews by Ezra Levant.
“For years the liberal New York Times has been a rabid opponent of fracking, hyping every scary and outlandish rumour, and even denying fracking’s economic success.
So the revelations in last Sunday’s New York Times – that anti-fracking activists in Europe may be funded by Vladimir Putin’s Russia…”

Not much of a stretch to assume that Russia and OPEC have been funding the usual suspects here in Canada and the various “charitable” foundations in the US. Anyone who accepts OPEC or Russian money is a traitor.
Ezra is so right on his focus on these countries like Saudi and Russia supporting the brain-dead environMENTALists and their drive to shut down our oil production.
Ken;
I have been preaching this theme for over 2 years now. I will not go into my full tirade. My CPC MP has heard a earful about the foreign money funding the enviro movement. I am convinced some of that money is OPEC and Russia but also USA interests who want Canada to remain compliant towards USA economic concerns.
Oil wealth would make Canada more powerful and more independent of other countries concerns. OPEC is all about the money. Russia is about oil, money and their interest in the Canadian Artic. The USA is concerned about the Canadian Artic as well but IMHO more concerned about a more wealthy Canada setting a more independent path in trade relations. NAFTA has demonstrated whether through lumber, oil or auto that Canadian interests will be sacrificed.
The #1 commodity of the 21st century will not be oil but water. A wealthier Canada will be able to say no to USA exports and the USA will see this as a national security issue. The primary aquifers in the USA mid west and in California are being drawn down each year. This threatens affordable food.
