However, speculating now, TerrorBoy could have easily used the lever action in the picture. Lever action rifles are not to be sneezed at in a fight. Lever guns and bolt guns are generally chambered in larger calibers than “assault weapons”, and are -far- more destructive.
That’s why I prefer goblins carry pistols instead of long guns. Three out of four people shot with pistols survive if they get prompt medical treatment. The numbers are much, much worse when larger caliber rifles are involved.
Think of it: how many deer survive being shot with a .30-30 Winchester? Not many, and not for long. How about a .45-70? Only if you miss. .338 Marlin? Pretty much vaporize a deer and kill the one behind it too.
