  5. First polar bears now penguins. They should revolt at the insults of specieism by “progressives”. The lies never end with these people. They are just to lazy to fact check.

    I agree. If sea ice declines at those rates, etc., Emperor penguins are in trouble. The sea ice, however, has been increasing, not declining, probably because it isn’t as smart as, say, Michael Mann or the editorial staff of the New York Times or of the Independent (the source of the linked piece), and doesn’t know that it should do as it is told. Or perhaps those folks should get it into their heads that science consists of making predictions, which are then tested by experiment (in this case, nature performs the experiments), and changing the models that make the predictions when they don’t come true.

    What is the real evidence that the ice is melting. I don’t see it anywhere other than in the leftist BS when they want more money from those of us who still work.
    Most the evidence I have seen is the opposite … we have more ice, colder winters … weird summers, but that’s nothing new.
    I wish we could all stop with the climate and deal with economy. That is far more important than some Elitists dream of a subjugated planet operating smoothly in the Feudal system. With, of course no more than a billion or two slaves to keep the infrastructure useable for them.
    There are many who want this and many who are working to bring it about … Agenda 21 is the official paper … it’s on line at the UN website for anyone to read.

    The bears are doing fine, actually they are thriving. But don’t expect any of those who really ‘ care’ about the environment to acknowledge that they were wrong or ask for the designation to be changed. It will never happen.
    They won that battle, maybe not fair and square, but they won.
    The eco-elite are totally devoid of morals. They would gleefully kill your children,and maybe even their own (but with a bit less glee) to bolster their smug factor.

  9. I’m no expert on penguins but it would seem to me that the smaller the sea ice coverage the better it would be for the penguins. They wouldn’t have to walk so far from their nesting area to their food source.

As brilliant as all the Progs are (as they claim to be), I am surprised they were not decrying the fate of the Polar bears at the South pole. “Prog cries and weeps: There are no Polar bear sightings at the South Pole, It must be Global Warming – Buy Carbon Offsets and Save the South Pole Polar Bears”.
    Thus I am not surprised they are pis#ing and moaning about global warming where the data is showing the opposite. I am just surprised they managed to get the correct geographical species to use in their faulty argument.

    From what I have read, you are correct ….. at least up to a point. Conversely, increasing ice is also bad for these penguins as they must then trek further from the water.
    Not to worry either way though. The penguins will be fine as they have lots of experience finding their way under varying ice conditions over thousands of years.
    As a side note (just in case you didn’t ALREADY know), Terre Adelie is that little slice of Antarctica land claimed by France. It is also the location for the 2005 movie “March of the Penguins”. Trivia is fun…..

  12. A computer model used as evidence. And not even a good model to boot. Sea Ice at the Antarctic is at record levels. Seems to be a pattern with these types. Make shit up, get it into the media, and who cares if they get called on it, because the media won’t report it anyhow.

    It’s almost as difficult to keep up with this stuff as it is to understand it. In this case, you’ve missed a very recent update by Mr. Watts.
    He now says: “All of that added up to a big heap of confirmation bias, I was so used to Goddard being wrong, I expected it again, but this time Steve Goddard was right and my confirmation bias prevented me from seeing that there was in fact a real issue in the data and that NCDC has dead stations that are reporting data that isn’t real: mea culpa.”

  17. Well, if the polar bears are starving, why not ship them all to Antarctica, where there are thousands of yummy* penguins for them to feed on?
    *Well, penguin is probably greasy and fishy, but then polar bears eat seal, which is greasy and fishy, so there ya go.

  18. That’s it! we have no other choice but to relocate polar bears to Antartica to eat all the Penguins for the Penguins own good before they warm up or something.
