People just aren’t mixing in ways Urban Studies lecturer Peter Matthews wants. Therefore it’s time to consider a “physically radical intervention”:
The idea that we must demolish large areas of high-value owner-occupied housing and replace it with high density, socially-rented housing is still way off the agenda. Maybe it is time this changed.
You see, what we need – good and hard – is some “deliberate urban degeneration.”

Dunno what drives these people – envy, greed, hatred – whatever, but it’s past time when we simply laugh at these dangerous trog psychotics and start denouncing, incarcerating and making this criminal thinking socially unacceptable.
Really, professor? Fine. The process starts with the houses on either side of yours. And you’re not allowed to move out for 15 years.
Anybody who’s visited, say, Detroit or St. Louis during the past thirty years or so would be happy to tell you that there’s already plenty of urban degeneration without making it deliberate.
Who says socialism isn’t gaining ground? It’s not that we were not forewarned, it’s been steadily creeping along for a few decades, infiltrating every facet of our lives from the schools to governments at every level. Its the Trudeau Charter dream cum nightmare unfolding, it’s dictates are a sham,it tells us everyone is equal before and under the law then in Supreme Court rulings/interpretations some are more equal than others.
Why do we fund Urban Studies?
Another snapshot of the liberal lefts attempt to reduce western society to third world ghetto’s, where everyone is equally poor.
The outcome will be like any other Third World shitholes, massive mansion compounds for the elite guarded by barbed wire, local guards, and dogs, surrounded by ghettos.
The ghetto’s will have everything the Liberal left desires, drugs, prostitution, kidnappings and otherwise plenty of opportunity to watch people suffer.
Stalin said that everyone should be able to walk to work, and thus you have huge high density apartment complexes in industrial areas.
The good professor found a home for his drivel at Heriot-Watt University where he lectures. Curiously though this University has a satellite campus in the UAE. What is it with socialists and authoritarian regimes.
Agenda 21
Just another commie prick!
This is insidious and nasty. The policy would destroy the retirement nest eggs of average middle class people by completely depreciating the property value of their homes and rendering them helpless. Poor people are pliable people for the elites. Awful, awful scheme.
And that, friends, is why I live out in the Ottawa Valley countryside.
I think Mark Steyn’s axiom covers this nicely:
“It’s a good basic axiom that if you take a quart of ice-cream and a quart of dog feces and mix ’em together the result will taste more like the latter than the former.”
This is a classic that should be introduced in elementary scrool (sic).
The action plan of the low life’s of socialism/fascism and communism is to bring everybody down, the lower the better.
Of course those same ideologies leave room for the ruling socialist/fascist and communist aristocrats to live in luxury because they “care”.
Can tell you from personal experience and observation that the ruling class don’t necessarily live in luxury at first sight. They live in an apartment in your neighborhood, sort of. Then, they have playgrounds and mansions that are out of the way and fenced off, paid for by the poor suckers that get up every bloody morning to go to work to pay for the luxuries of their rulers.
When you think about it, things have not changed much. It used to be that the aristocrats of old inherited their titles and wealth just by hanging around and killing each other from time to time.
The new s/f/c aristocrats extort their power by collecting high taxes and giving the lumpen proles free stuff in return for power.
On the other hand, the free enterprise aims to bring, everybody interested, up as high as one wants’.
Sort of, here it is take it or leave it, your call.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Smilin’ Jack Layton and his companion Doggy Chow were the champeen (sic) troughers at the parliamentary expense wallow. The pair were regularly in the top 5 spenders on that basis, staying in Presidential suites and ordering expensive room service dinners and wines when they were out in the hinterlands, waving the flag. “Austerity for him and thee, but not for me!!”.
Another Socialist DOG…that should be by rights, put down.
Man oh Man where do these goophs get these idea’s anyway..?? To my mind it has everything to do with never having had to work an honest day in their lives leaving plenty of time for vacant thinking about how to “help & improve” society with their version of “equality” ……pretty much sums up every socialist I have ever met.
And you end up with disasters such as Detroit and soon to be Ontario.
