  4. Your chances of developing certain types of cancer may depend on how affluent your neighborhood is, according to a new study published Tuesday in the journal Cancer. Scientists found that specific cancers are more prevalent among the poor and others among the wealthy.
    Researchers used U.S. census information to analyze the poverty rate of each neighborhood (defined as a living space containing 4,000 people) in 16 states and Los Angeles County, which collectively accounted for 42 percent of the U.S. population. Income status was based on the percentage of households in each area that lived below the poverty level.
    In wealthy areas of the country, more common cancers include testicular, thyroid, melanoma, breast, and cervical. In poorer areas, cancers stemming from certain risky behaviors are more prevalent. Those include cancers of the penis and cervix, which are linked to sexually transmitted diseases; cancer of the larynx, which can be caused by smoking, drinking, or HPV; liver cancer, often linked to drinking and hepatitis (which can be contracted by needle sharing); and Kaposi’s sarcoma, a skin cancer that often occurs in people with AIDS.

    If Green Peace contacted my Insurance company, such that the company would cancel or limit my policy, because they were going to burn down my House. That would be a criminal Grand Jury event.
    The Communist groups don’t understand Corporative Governance. The Directors are elected by the owners (shareholders). Those Directors have a responsibility to Shareholders. All Company policies are approved (voted) by Shareholders. There is ~300 Million Americans that are direct, or indirect shareholders via Mutual funds & Retirement plans.

    People will steal from charities! Why did the program heads think the bikes would not be taken? The police say, “Don’t take the law into your own hands.” So, nothing is done.

  18. Dozens of bicycles stolen from city bike-share program
    More than 40 bicycles belonging to Baltimore’s Recreation and Parks department for a bike-share program were stolen this week, and the activity has been suspended indefinitely, city officials said.
    The bikes, which included children’s bikes and adult-size blue beach cruisers, were stolen on Monday during the city’s Ride Around the Reservoir program in Druid Hill Park. Recreation and Parks spokeswoman Gwendolyn Chambers said staff had set up the bikes to lend out when a large group of youths began stealing them. One staffer was kicked by a youth, though the injury was not serious, Chambers said.

    Staff and Grade 8 students at an inner-city Toronto school were looking forward to the three-day graduation trip to an idyllic nature camp in Eastern Ontario — until they were informed they couldn’t canoe, kayak or try archery.
    And swimming, rope activities and campfires? Only if “sufficient proof of safety” was provided ahead of time, along with “a script of safety routines and insurance in case of injuries.” With the requested documentation and swim tests near-impossible to complete before kids were to leave June 10, the trip fell to pieces, staff say.
