  1. Great shots – nostalgia got me – reminded me of the gas drilling boom in Brooks and oil west of Rimby in the 70s/80s – spent time in SD then too, but mostly biking and pheasant hunting, good people, good times, badlands rock – good to see the locals doing well.

  3. Agreed, in spades. They aren’t “lining up pipe”, they are pulling the slips after making a connection. And the gas flares might be lit after an “unexpected release” of pressure, but normally they are lit after a totally programmed release of pressure, say while circulating bottom-up after a bit trip while drilling in the pay zone.
