7. The key word here is “tribal” regions – these “vaccinators” face no more lethal ignorance than the first missionaries to Africa or any primitive region did/do. It is not so much radical Muslim ideology as the superstitious and intolerant tribalism associated with it which is the cause of violent confrontation. Tribalism is the enemy of social/ideological evolution. Its deadly ignorance and paranoid endo-centric isolationism produce social injustice and a impaired value system. It is tribalism which is dogmatic, cruel, violence prone and rejects progress.
   You can see this in most primitive, superstitious, group-centric peoples from all continents – even in our own country – the radical left qualify as a tribalistic subculture.

8. It won’t matter in the long run. The vaccines are seen as a plot by the infidel. Polio returning will be a plot by the infidel. That they are downtrodden is a plot by the infidel. A day of bad weather is a plot by the infidel. A day of good weather is a gift from Allah. The culture that the west wants to change them into is hundreds of years and an enlightenment away. Until then, Algeria’s “one man, one vote, one time” is the model they prefer. Insh Allah.

12. A responsible government would place a moratorium on visas and immigration from Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria until it’s polio vaccination program was complete.
    Once one government did it and others followed, those governments would suddenly find the will to put down the jihadis.

13. I’m fairly sure Pakistan has a medical system in major centers that does not border on stone age technology. Rather than “infidels” pushing the Polio vaccines on the populace perhaps it would make more sense to let their doctors develop their own strategy on vaccination with the west supplying the drugs covertly. Just don’t tell then the vaccines are made in India. Failing that, let’s look at the upside of their refusal. Future combatants will not be nearly as effective when they are running around on crutches or shooting from inside iron lungs.

14. We have home grown freaks who frequently and loudly claim that vaccinations are a plot to spread disease and kill people. The culprits they claim are the medical establishment and “big pharma” … oh yeah and the government.

17. I have been in the archives lately and Kate wrote up a piece about WHO doctors being killed in Angola while trying to stop a plague there. She said that the docs should pull back and the borders should be sealed and that nature should take its course. The hate that she got from the left was eye opening.
    This is almost the same situation and the reaction is completely different. Of course the story is still new so not everyone has seen it. In case you wish to go there I think it was in Feb or Mar 2005.

    Let them fester in their own swamp of ideology.

21. There’s something about atheism that attracts the unpleasant whiner, snotnosed brat, or little yappy dog types of personality. More relaxing to hang out with radical Muslims. Better to keep company with someone who wants impromptu opinions about their skin condition while they pull up their shirt and show it to you.
