  1. A juicy steak, the smell of leather, sitting beside a fire, crisp autumn air, a woman in your arms, 35 million left wing assholes on a suicide binge.
Life does not get better than experiencing such things.

  2. The CA law conveniently exempts law enforcement from the micro stamp requirement. One way to roll back the law would be for the gun companies to refuse to sell and service any new CA law enforcement pistols, until the law is repealed. This would require Ruger, S&W, Glock, Colt, Sig, etc., to all take a stand. But law enforcement is

  3. I can change the firing pin in my semi-automatic pistols out in about five minutes at a cost of less than $20, no special tools required. If I don’t have a new firing pin, I could always use a bit of emery cloth to remove the micro-stamp. Go to youtube and search for ‘M&P firing pin’ and see how simple it is.
This is a liberal feel-good law that accomplishes nothing.

  4. The legislators and lobbyists who are pushing this legislation know very well that it will be very easy to circumvent the microstanmping intentionally and that it will be impossible not to circumvent it accidentally, and they can then add regulations that will severely punish those whose guns become non-compliant even through damage or wear and tear.
They also know it will accomplish something anyway: The micro-stamping requirement will greatly increase the manufacturing cost and the retail price of the guns. They don’t care about making guns or gun ownership safer or more secure for the law-abiding, it’s a strategy to make it more expensive and difficult to gradually reduce the number of gun owners (i.e. voters who own guns) and strangle the industry (i.e. source of profits that can be donated to the political causes they oppose.)

  5. California is the hot house environment for every stupid idea that a government regulator could possibly dream into existence. Unfortunately the dumb radiates out from there and the rest of North America is stuck with useless crap that doesn’t work. The worst non-workable regulations and the requirements with the most injurious affect on the public have been emission standards for diesel engines.

  6. This changes nothing for me. I was going to use a revolver for my crimes in California anyway, because they don’t drop the shell casings at the murder scene.

  7. S&W is joined by Ruger in this decision not to sell in California. The legislation is so onerous they can’t make any money anyway, so its an easy decision to make.
Would that they could see the future well enough to cease ALL sales to California, including military and police. And parts.
Still, a police state is not the worst environment a gun maker could work in. Example, Walther and Mauser in 1930’s Germany. You lose the civilian sales, but on the bright side you pick up lots and lots of fat state contracts. Particularly if you’re good buddies with the Powers That Be and feed them with nice juicy kickbacks.
    Then they’ll eat you last.
