  4. An amusing theory I heard today:
    Canada-USA relations are doomed. As of tomorrow, Stephen Harper will have been PM for over eight years. Barack Obama is limited by US law to only eight years. Obama will be so jealous that there is no way he will be on speaking terms with Harper from now on.

  7. The CBC has significantly reduced the number of articles that allow commenting. It would appear that they don’t want to hear the opinions of the taxpayers who fund their cash cow.

  9. There is hope yet for pandemics, humans are incapable of understanding the issues and cooperating to solve the problems. Population reduction is inevitable.
    Pulitzer-Prize-winning author Laurie Garrett fears humanity is taking a lacklustre approach to facing up to the problems of the future. Garrett, a senior fellow for global health at the Council on Foreign Relations, has tracked outbreaks and pandemics around the world.
    She says a common theme in dealing with these is the lack of a realistic level of response from global health institutions and governments.
    From newly emerging diseases to lethal and drug-resistant strains of familiar plagues, Garrett believes people have become overly complacent about some of the biggest threats to life on Earth.

    It may also be that their war against Stephen Harper and Rob Ford is backfiring against them.
    I’ve heard negative comments against the CBC time and again, and like I’ve never heard before, especially in the last few months.

    great video ebd. I wish, I wish I could have lived back then. yes with out all of these technological break throughs..simply because I would have never known them or of them. they would remain in my dreams. now I am addicted and stuck with them no matter how hard I try I just cannot go without my smart phone or my cable t.v./computer.
    sad I know. I have a feeling that in the not so didtant future atlas shrugged will come to life and we will once again be horse n buggy mobile or by our own 2 feet.
