Canadian Observer please don’t think that Christian faith precludes science or that science somehow invalidates Christian faith. The two can peacefully co-exist with a sane mind. A goodly number of my Christian friends are research scientists. They work in fields like medicine, nano technology, theoretical physics etc. One thing they have in common is the acceptance of the possible. In other words they don’t close their minds when someone says it has to be thus. To a person they all say they came to accept the existence of the Christian God through accepting the possible and experimentation.
The thing about faith that causes trouble is the fact people cannot practice their faith and allow others of differing beliefs to do the same, it’s all about minding your own affairs,worship according to your beliefs, not trying to change the beliefs of others.
In democracies like ours we have choices, we are a tolerant people, we can practice as we believe and expect others to respect us without interference. It’s in theocracies where people are not accepting of or tolerant of those who are not of their beliefs and thus we have religious wars through out history and today.
It’s very hard to deal with a people who cannot get themselves out of the stone age into civilization, killing at will and stoning people to death all in the name of religion.

Rather the God I worship contains the entire universe within Himself and the physical universe as we know it is a manifestation of a Presence beyond our understanding.
