  14. One of the pernicious lies promulgated by the ‘blood and soil’ types in the US immigration debate is that the USG and Obama in particular are ‘soft’ on unauthorized immigrants. The truth is that Obama has deported 2 million people who came to America for a better life and said ‘no’ to a byzantine insane immigration process although there has been incidences of actual US citizens getting deported as well.

    The nation’s immigration system is a mess because more people want to live and work here than are allowed by law. The only way that will change is either be expanding the number of legal slots or making the country so awful that nobody wants to move here (I know, I know, we’re getting there).

    My conclusion is that not only is there no public money missing, but Stephen Harper has been telling the truth. Who knew? Based on this information, I can certainly see why the media is so keen on having us return to an alternative Liberal universe. By all means, draw your own conclusions.
