According to ZeroHedge.com, just 49,100 Americans signed up for a health insurance plan through Healthcare.gov.
During this same period of time, 1,687,599 Americans went through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) for gun purchases.
Unmitigated disaster.
Even Bill Clinton is wincing.
If the fine next year for no insurance is $95, and most plans cost at least this per month, why would anyone have insurance? They have to take you if you get sick, just sign up then. If car insurance worked this way, I would just wait until my accident (pre-existing condition) and then sign up and pay their deductible to get a new car. Then once I had a new car, I would cancel the policy. Isn’t this the jist of the new law?

I agree with you that this is a real eye opener. I believe it was last year I first posted it and I’m surprised the left hasn’t found a way to get rid of it. Definitely a must see for anyone questioning the status quo.
What I find funny about this whole thing, is the insurance companies wrote obama care.
The republicans are way more in bed, with the big business, then the democrats.
So If the republicans were in power, then we be calling their plan “Romney care”,well no that didn’t work. I know the “The tea party plan”. This whole thing is a joke, and shows you who is really in charge, (big business) and whats wrong with the system. This is why the system needs changing, when there is no difference between dems and rep.
The difference is perhaps the fact that at this point Obamacare is completely un affordable and when the entire economy is on its death bed, it’s not too smart to stick more knives into it. That’s a Democrat thing.

There is also a view that the confusion and fear caused by this fiasco might be deliberate to advance the left’s cause, as it fight right into Saul Alinsky’s game plan.

Hey, people need to SHUT UP about paying 3 times their old Health coverage for less care, Obamba’s black.
Slick Willy Clinton is not wincing. He’s doing the Whitewater hip movement as cover for Shillary’s run.
What I don’t understand is why anyone would sign up unless they were already sick or heading for medicaid. Just pay the penalty because you can’t be refused if in a few years you do get sick. Hell, you can sign up while they’re wheeling the gurney into the hospital. The plan is active with the first payment. Sit on the money until you need the service. Guess we’ll know if that’s the trend when (if) they ever get the bugs out of the enrollment process.
If everyone ran over a gov’t employee, we could demand the same insurance as them.

What bothers me about this (aside form everything) is the complete indifference Obamacare supporters (read: Obama Kool-Aid drinkers) have for those who just lost their insurance and are screwed. I don’t feel that badly for the Obama voters because they are clearly mentally deficient and no one would expect the Obama administration and its supporters to have real feelings the way humans are supposed to but their mental and empathic remove still floors me. Do they think stuff doesn’t cost money or something or that people never get ill or hurt?
Actually, no, that 100k number is the number who filled out an application.
The number who actually purchased is therefore far lower.
An analysis of the insurers that are actually enrolling the people that paid shows the number to be around 5k.
I heard a statistical blurb from some radio show that stated more Americans applied for gun permits than Obamacare last month – signs of the times.
Some 27,000 people have signed up. And there are some 27,000 navigators on the payroll.
Coincidence?
