6 Replies to “Obamacare Imitates The Onion”

  1. As I and many others have said over the recent years, it is impossible to lampoon the Left anymore. No matter how crazy and ridiculous a thing you come up with to mock them, what they are really doing will top it every time.
In this case, The Onion is proceeding from the false premise that Obamacare and its website were ever intended to work properly.
In fact, the law and the website have already done what they were intended to do. Steal money and punish enemies of the regime. Those enemies being anyone still working in the private sector and not on food stamps.
See, that sounds completely nuts right? But we -know- that all policies enacted by Barry and company are designed to swell the ranks of government workers and dependents, while destroying private companies. They are already doing ALL of that and a lot more.
Next step will be to seize all private companies and private savings outright, as they have already done with General Motors and as already happened in some European countries. People in Cyprus lost 10% of their bank accounts one evening, retirement funds have been raided in Ireland, Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria. How far behind can California and Michigan be? Or Ontario and Quebec?
That’s their plan. You can’t lampoon that. Its too insane.

  2. Blaming the model is irrational but probably a lot safer than blaming Obama. The wrong wording ie Obama has to go! could have the Secret Service investigating you, a SWAT team breaking down your door or the IRS auditing you.

  3. Besides Obama care being a rancid failed outrageously offensive political take over.
    A communist plot.
Its just human nature to put a face to your frustration. When that’s all you can do.
Its like hearing the phone voice of the robot phone world Women putting you on hold. Worse having to dial the same number 20 times because the system word recognition stinks.
Its like my pet peeve about the Star trek TV Computer voice always sounding like an imbecile.
I feel for the Lady ,but bucking human nature is impossible. No wonder she doesn’t want her last name told. Some people are just to stupid to distinguish a picture from the system.
    Sad but to true.

  4. From the Globe article:

Republicans, who were blamed for a recent government shutdown, now see the botched health insurance exchange rollout as an opportunity to gain political ground ahead of key 2014 midterm elections that will determine which party controls the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives.

Don’t you love unbiased reporting? Republicans were blamed by whom? You could just as accurately say, “Republicans tried valiantly to draw attention to the injustice in the act but were attacked by an Democrat-friendly media.”
Now, they’re not concerned about the waste of tax dollars and hassle it has caused, they’re only grimy opportunists looking to win back power any way they can.
