  1. Weiner and his wife remind me of the Clintons. The wife ignores the husband’s indiscretions, and there are lots of them, because she is a power hungry leftist who has no moral compass. He is a degenerate sexual deviant who loves chasing women and only got married because it makes I’m look better to the voters.

  2. “In a sane world, a major news organization would look at Weiner’s nonexistent real-world C.V. and laugh if he said he’d like to be handed the keys to Gracie Mansion. Instead, the New York Times and Time-Warner-CNN-HBO-owned People were both quite happy to grease the skids for Weiner’s election bid in service to their party, up until the point where he – again – made a fool of himself.
Substitute “24 Sussex”, “Toronto Star” and “CBC”, and it starts sounding an awful lot like another pretender to power we know.

  3. Narcissist, sexual deviant, misanthropic, sociopathic – yep, has all it take to be a Dem power monger and a political elite.

  4. In the Detroit article:
“The city has three types of people. Those who work. Those who work for the government. Those who don’t work. Those who don’t work and those who work for the government are a net loss.”
How many people in our society truly understand this? I would suspect it’s less than 30%. That is a HUGE reason why public spending has been allowed to become so profligate.

  5. But everyone got mad at Romney when he said the 47% were a write-off or whatever. Maybe his figure was a bit high but come on. He was clearly thinking of a place like Detroit.

  6. How many people in our society truly understand this?

Leftists understand it differently. To them, value comes from government, not the private sector. To them, there’s no higher calling than a government position from which they can change the world for the better. Business, entrepreneurship, etc. are barely tolerable evils existing solely for the purpose of taxation. There’s virtually nothing they don’t want to regulate, unionize and move either into or under the jackboot of government..(even marijuana). Except Apple Computers for some reason. It’s a weird cult that’s long overdue drinking the final kool-aid.
I’ve been in Winnipeg too long.

  7. a few months ago I re-read Atlas Shrugged by Aynn Rand. It is the scariest read in years. it is like a current events newscast. unless we smarten up now we are toast. unfortunately I don’t believe we have the cojones to smarten up!
