  1. Every day he comes up with new ways to demonstrate his cluelessness.

  2. Captcha is impaired today…..
Keeps rejecting but keeps putting up the same text…….

  3. Yeah well, time heals a lotta wounds…but not all.
Although some of my associates have returned to Viet Nam, I think I’ll take a pass….but I may reconsider….
While they return unimpressed by the current regime visa vis…democracy etc….they found a surprising situation.
The Vietnamese regard ALL veterans as THEIR veterans….including doing thorough medical exams of those perceived to be vets. They are under the impression, perhaps with good cause, that the US VA has neglected their vets.
“once there was a war.” seems to be their mantra.
Naturally, I am suspicious of their motives but when buddies return with hernias etc. fixed, good dental work done…it makes ya wonder.
Old prejudices die hard. Despite the reception they received my buds remain suspicious….that’s just the way it is…..

  4. “inspired” never to repeat it.
Tyranny creeps, American society is not freer than it was a generation ago. You don’t become freer by watching reality TV all day long, and supporting your local tyrant because he happens to be black.

  5. Ho Chi Minh used the US Declaration of Independence as a template for his own version. I am absolutely sure he would have choked reading the bill of rights (first ten amendments to the constitution).

  6. “I am absolutely sure he would have choked reading the bill of rights (first ten amendments to the constitution).”
Obamba is well on his way to proving you right.

  7. Ho had expressed admiration for our founding documents, and perhaps some of the Founding Fathers. They were effective revolutionaries, after all. But he was also a life long Communist, dating back before WW-II, and was one of the Murdering Totalitarian Dictators. So of course the Treasonous Criminal Zerobama admires him. That’s what Democrats admire.
    Democrats delenda sunt.

  8. I hope 0bama is not inspired by Jefferson in the same manner Ho Chi Minh was.

  9. If you get more in-depth on this, you’ll see that Minh did, in fact, based the Vietnamese Declaration of Independence on Jefferson’s. However, Minh emphasized not rights endowed by God and naturally existing, but the state.
Which is perfectly appropriate for Obama, seeing as Obama believes the same thing.

  10. I’d say this is probably nothing – just standard-issue political fluff that one expects to be ladled out in these sorts of events.

  11. Ho was playing up to the OSS because he needed their support. If he had quoted Marx, the US would have turned it’s back on him and the provisional government he headed would have fallen.
Ho only quoted the one line from the Declaration of Independence, then he quoted the Declaration of the French Revolution. He was not talking about limiting the power of government so it could not encroach on the rights of the individual. He was talking of the rights of the Vietnamese that had been abused by the French colonialists.

There is no bill of rights as such in Vietnam.

  12. Ho Chi Minh was probably particularly inspired by the words of Thomas Jefferson in the Constitution (the Constitutional Convention ran from May 25 to September 17, 1787 and the Constitution took effect in 1978 ; the Bill of Rights was completed in 1789 and ratified in 1791; Thomas Jefferson spent 1785 to 1789 in Paris as the US’s minister to France, and 1789 to 1793 as George Washington’s Secretary of State, so he had nothing to do with the drafting or debating of either the Constitution or Bill of Rights).

  13. It’ bitterly evident that Obumbles is a pathological liar but howlers like this are so openly delusional one must wonder if he has turned the bend and now lives in the bizzaro world he has been spinning – either that or he believes the saturation propaganda of his sycophant media has done such a groovy job of lobotomizing the public he can tell them any absurdity and it will be taken as gospel.

  14. Here Obama some real History from his time.
I guess the older an event the more the lovers of tyranny clean house.
Wec see “Blood red hands now on TV, with its authors bragging about murder these days. How they will hide that in the future , who knows.

  15. I guess too, that he was impressed with the massacre at Hue during the Tet Offensive, when over 6ooo soldiers, town officials, citizens, women and children were slaughtered in a matter of days, because they had assisted the government of South Vietnam, or their American allies? The British Empire Loyalists may have been roughed up some, but most were allowed to enter British North America, unscathed.

  16. “his connection between the American founders and Ho shows either a massive lack of historical knowledge on the part of the president or a remarkable degree of moral flexibility.”

    Yeah, Well,
Sometimes when you are bent over bowing to world leaders,
its hard to see whose ass you are kissing.
My friends and I would have smoked dope with Obama,
listened to his crap about the great communists revolutions coming to America,
then took him on patrol/convey and fragged his ass.
Its sad that he missed those chapters in his life..

  17. “…Ho Chi Minh was actually inspired by the U.S. Declaration of Independence and Constitution…”
Sure…like Adolf was “inspired” by the Treaty of Versailles.

  18. BO is not an idiot and anyone who is of the belief that he is, is misguided, IMO. Over and over the stranger in the White House has declared his beliefs and his intentions; without apology. Through both words and actions, he has proven that he is a committed Marxist and his intention is to bring all people under the Bolshevik boot. Like Turdo in Canada, the men and women that the Iwon admires are not Champions of Liberty or The American Constitution; the Iwon panders to Totalitarians of any ilk.
Why did Iwon return the bust of Winston Churchill, why does he fashion himself after Abe Lincoln – the President who suspended Habeas Corpus, states rights, and jailed citizens who had opinions different from his own? Why does he ‘pal around’ with the likes of Bill Ayers, Van Jones and Al Sharpton? Why does he refuse to speak about his past or to ‘unseal’ college records; this man has a lot of skeletons in his closet. The American press, like the Canadian Press in Turdos day, are giving the Iwon a free pass.
Thinking is hard but think people must if we plan to stop the Ah genda twenty one plan.

  19. Jamie MacMaster >
Heh, he was inspired he just needed to change the language a little “for the people and by the people” = “for me and my friends” shall……..

  20. Unfortunately, and I am no friend of Obama, he is completely correct in this matter.
I did an honours thesis in university on the background of the Vietnam War. As you may know, Ho Chi Minh was trained and armed against the Japanese by the American OSS. He became very good friends with his handler, and yes, he based his declaration on the American Declaration of Independence.
You see, Roosevely had a strict anti-Imperialism policy. He would not allow any territory liberated by the USA to go back to their imperial masters…….but he died.
Truman was a whole different character.
Ho Chi Minh could not believe it when the US abandoned him, and backed the re-entry of France in Southeast Asia.
A missed opportunity for the USA.

  21. “…he based his declaration on the American Declaration of Independence…”
Based? I think he might have referenced it, but he also referenced the Rights of Man from the froggies. Matter of fact, he referenced quite a few things in his lifetime…

  22. Apparently Hitler could quote the first 4 Testaments of the Bible. Does that mean he was inspired by God?

  23. “Truman was a whole different character.
Ho Chi Minh could not believe it when the US abandoned him, and backed the re-entry of France in Southeast Asia.”
Truman, a democrat. Funny how whenever the democrats are in power they frequently abandon and betray American allies. Things never change with these people. Their lack of commitment and consistency alone should tell a sane voter to stay clear.
Obama is the same way. He is running parallel to what we had with Trudeau. Alienating friends and allies for no diplomatic gain, only for personal satisfaction. And cozying up to tyrants who supress the rights of their people and have lots of blood on their hands.

  24. I work with a Vietnamese colleague here in Canada and talk daily with a team in Vietnam. They say most Vietnamese are convinced that president Obama is a communist because of his actions, and they marvel at Americans for putting up with the guy.
