On Monday afternoon, the US Department of Justice appealed to civil rights groups and the general public across the country for “tips” on George Zimmerman in their pursuit of potential federal civil rights charges against the just-acquitted defendant in the Trayvon Martin killing. The DOJ actually went so far as to set up an e-mail address to allow such tips: Sanford.florida@usdoj.gov. The email address is slated to go operational by the end of the week.

Martin was a punk ass thug out looking for trouble plain and simple. He found exactly what he was looking for. Y’all keep assuming that Martin was an innocent scared 17 year old “child”. Age has nothing to do with actions. 16, 17 and 18 year old “children” are being tried as adults every day. It’s not the age but the actions. Hell, I was in basic training in the Army when I was a 17 year old “child”.Bozama and Holder are the real criminals here. Investegate them. You want a top? If only Trayvon Martin had been taught to respond to situations of which he may be uncertain with civility, this wouldn’t have happened. Just because you think that someone may be watching you does not give you the right to start a violent fight. Even if the person approaches you and asks what you are doing, you still do not have the right to punch somebody in the face, apparently tackle them, and then smash their head into ooncrete. His actions justified George’s legal response. I’m guessing that George would have felt that his life was in danger regardless of the race of the attacker.

I like the approach taken by Dustin over at Paterrico’s place. Smear Zimmerman as a racist through his association with an organization with a long history of supporting racism, slavery, segregation, Jim Crow laws, spawned the KKK.
