Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

luv it . and the best jersey in all of sports. will wear my Crowchild coach jacket tomorrow in honour on the C train , going down into the abyss.
Greg Campbell finished his shift with a broken leg.
But all of that doesn’t even come close to what Eddie Shore played through.
Boo Hoo, now Boston knows how Vancouver felt
Two goals in 17 seconds in the final minute and a half. Nevermind Vancouver…This Bruin fan now knows how Toronto feels.
Not looking forward to the smug look on the Leafs fans later today at work.
Oh, hang on. MY team made it to the finals…
Seriously, though, considering the lock-out shortened schedule, the Blackhawks’ win should have an asterisk beside it.
Yeah, I got nuthin’.

Great series with a great team that had old time hunger for the cup and team cohesion – what a spectacular finish to game 6 – just when the beantowners thought they’d take it in OT, a sweet deflection shot. The best team won Lord Stanley’s beer mug this year.
My Bruins lost, and in sucky style. BUT I’m still proud of them. They played real well and had a great run. They just had a mental and physical collapse at the wrong time. Such is sport and professional hockey.
Heal up, boys. We’ll see you in the Fall. Love ya.
“..This Bruin fan now knows how Toronto feels. ”
There’s a hockey team in Toronto?
Who knew.
46 years and counting
I didn’t think anyone would walk away from that 1st Period. Toughest physical hockey I have seen for a long time. Should have been rooting for the Hawks because of the number of BC boys on the team but I just couldn’t after all those Canuck matchups.
As in superior to the rest of Canada?
Those guys would make fearsome lumberjack commandos.
Yeah,I hope the Boston fans don’t react the same way as the Vancouver fans did, especially with all those guns available in the USA!
And the more I see of that Lucic kid,the more pissed off I am that Vancouver, with the 12th pick in the draft that year,’06, chose Michael Grabner, while Milan Lucic, who was born and raised in Vancouver and played ALL his hockey in Vancouver, was left until Boston chose him 50th!!!
I guess his swarthy complexion was too much of a contrast with the cute little blond Sedin sisters.
Don’t know what it is about the NHL but even when they shorten the season with a strike its still way way way too long.
Too bad the Hawks had to go and spoil the official narrative from Healey and Co.
Rask is unbeatable; Crawford is shaky; Bruins defence is impenetrable; Toews is in a slump, etc., etc., etc.
I can hardly get through the regular season…. up and down the wing…no hitter after no hitter…..soccer on skates. And then it’s playoff time. A man’s game emerges. The girls in the league go home.
I liked the shortened season and the playoffs were the best in years.

Agreed! Now, I pray that some of the Yank PBS TV channels will broadcast Australian Rules Football over-the-air during the summer months.
