U.S. Publishes Details Of Secret Israeli Missile Base

“Surprise”?

It appears, however, that Israeli officials were caught by surprise that details of the facility at Tel Shahar, classified so top secret that Israel’s military won’t officially confirm its location between Jerusalem and Ashdod, would be made so public.

After Stuxnet?

  1. Or counterintel. A lot of people speculate the f-22 “leaks” were just that.

  2. With friends like Obama, Israel doesn’t need enemies to fear for its survival.

  3. Timing.
Rep. Issa is making B. Hussien nervous. Matt Drudge is saying the IRS folks that are being thrown under the bus are about ready to talk.

  4. Yes the decision to disclose the location of the base is probably not very smart, but it most definitely is NOT the Israelis’s decision to make. Since the Americans funded the project, they are entitled to reveal any details of it as they see fit. That is why they PAID for it.
What I find more shocking than the fact that the location of this base was revealed, is the gall and sense of entitlement of the Israeli freeloaders and welfare bums who seem to think they have a say on what other people do with their own property.
If they didn’t want this information revealed, the solution is simple. Use your OWN FRICKING MONEY to build it.

  5. This is an actual comment left by a Republican imbecile on the McClatchy site.

    “Idiots.
This will be the last time Americans are invited to build an Israeli military facility. “

    It truly baffles the mind.

  6. Darn those public-school teachers. Why can’t they be like Bradley Manning?

  7. Daniel hates Red Tories @ 2:02; so Blackberry’s code can be divulged by the Canadian Government or any of the myriad other arrangements which are funded by taxpayers.
    Not sure who you think is supplying funding. Cheers;

  8. Maybe the Israeli’s should build their own top secret bases in the future. I’m sure Obozo is going to blame the publishing of these details on the 1st Amendment which allows for freedom of speech; this is unless one happens to make a bad movie critical of islam which resulted in “spontaneous” simultaneous demonstrations erupting in Egypt and Libya and the “youths” “spontaneously” demonstrating killed the US ambassador (probably purely by accident during an excess of adolescent zeal).
Seems that freedom of speech in the US is now defined as allowing people to speak freely as long as they agree with the views of the ruling politburo. Sort of like the old joke in the USSR where a Russian and American are arguing about freedom of speech and the American says “In the US I’m completely free to say that Nixon is a deranged warmonger in front of the White House”. In response the Russian says, “We too have freedom of speech as I can stand outside the Kremlin and say the same thing without fear of retribution”.

  9. No, what truly baffes the mind is what a lot of idiocy there is in your posts in this thread. The chance of Israel providing a heads-up to the US before launching a strike to take out Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities just shrank to zero. The US has demonstrated that it’s absolutely incapable of keeping anything confidential as long as Blabber-in-Chief is in charge.

  10. and the fool (Daniel) doesn’t seam to understand the hand-in-hand development of many of these defense missiles that the americans like so much, USA supplies a lot of cash, Jews a lot of brains. It the Jews were to pull out of these, and go to say, Russian, I think the Obumbles lot would cry!!!

  11. If anyone doesn’t realize that the Bozo in the Oval Office is working for the other side then you just haven’t been paying attention.

  12. Of course the US has a classified bidding process. What idiot thinks otherwise?
His Foulness loves betrayal. It is life and breath to him. I do hope that the Pakistani doctor who
collected the data confirming that Osama bin Laden was indeed Osama enjoys his three decades
in a Pakistani prison. Assuming he survives it.

  13. Daniel (misnamed obviously),
So Israel is the only country in that God-forsaken part of the world that shouldn’t
    receive money from the US?
The only democratic country in the ME should not be supported in its time of need by another democratic country? Especially one that has millions of Jewish taxpayers?
Israel needs allies and they have a very dubious one in Obama.
I don’t want to misread you but I am certain that you know that Israel does not exist on the future map of the ME as drawn by Muslim countries, and as taught in their schools.
And, you don’t think they deserve the right to fight for their very existance?
Be clear, Daniel, and come clean: you aren’t just an anti-semite, you are a Jew hater, aren’t you?
You know, the kind that wore skulls on their uniforms and waved swastika flags.
There’s an odor coming from you, Daniel, and it smells a bit like gas. Did you pass a good one?

  14. Hi MikeSr. @ 2:42 am
The answer to your question is, if the government paid for the aforementioned piece of code, then yes.
The funding is being supplied by American taxpayers who are borrowing this money from China so as to provide services to a bunch of entitled foreign freeloaders.

  15. Israel has had US supplied nukes for years – everyone knows it but officially they don’t acknowledge it. That has been a strategic emplcement critical to global nuke balance since the 60s – these foaming mouth zombie Islamist hordes know they dance in the face of mutual destruction but they are to psychopathic to give a sheite.

  16. Wrong, occam. They made their own. The US had nothing to do with it. The Dimona production reactor was supplied by France.

  17. @ gellen
“So Israel is the only country in that God-forsaken part of the world that shouldn’t receive money from the US?”
No foreign country should receive money from US taxpayers, especially when they have to borrow this money from a third country.
In your entitled leftist mentality, you seem to think that because there are Jewish taxpayers in the US then they can avail themselves of the American public treasury. Then the same would be true for any other group of hyphenated Americans. Jewish taxpayers are free to send THEIR OWN MONEY to Israel if they please.
“I don’t want to misread you but I am certain that you know that Israel does not exist on the future map of the ME as drawn by Muslim countries, and as taught in their schools. And, you don’t think they deserve the right to fight for their very existance? (sic) “
So if your neighbour draws a plan of your property and identifies it as his, does that mean I have to give you money?
Of course Israel as any country has a right to fight for its own existence. They just have to do it with THEIR OWN MONEY.
“come clean: you aren’t just an anti-semite, you are a Jew hater, aren’t you?”
This is exactly the same type of tactic that leftists use when someone questions the use of taxpayer money for welfare bums. They accuse you of being racist.
Naturally, since gellen is an adherent of the neocon ideology which is Trotskyist in nature, it is no wonder that he uses the same type of race-baiting and race-mongering as his other leftist coreligionists, when someone questions the use of taxpayer money for foreign welfare bums.
Let me guess, gellen, you are not a leftist, right?
you a just a “conservative” that supports welfare for foreigners, right?

  18. Daniel, you miss the point. As the US’s many failed ‘Star Wars’ tests prove, simulated tests do nothing to prove whether a system works. The people designing, tuning, etc. the systems aren’t operating under the pressure as the Israelis. Fear of sudden death has this benefit of concentrating people’s minds.
So the US pays for the system (via soon to be worthless pieces of paper, but that’s another story) and the Israelis make it work. The US has the advantage of seeing the real world test results without all the nitpicking complaints from, for example, greenies complaining about spent/destroyed rockets polluting the oceans, etc. The Israelis are about the only people brave enough to say “Stuff it” and do what needs to be done instead of wringing their hands and wishing everyone would sing “Kumbaya”.
In the long run, the US gets to build similar facilities, which it will charge big $ for, in Japan and S. Korea, as sabre rattling from Kim3 or Kimchee or whatever his name is, and of course, everyone’s friend, China.
    Capiche?

  19. I just hope the Israels keep two nukes aside. One for DC and one for Turtle Bay. Do us all a favor.
Oh.And of course daniel hates red tories. They are stealing money from his leftards/socialists/commies.

  20. Shameful behaviour of a so called Ally. Its why Canada needs its own Nuclear deterrent.
We can no longer rely on the USA to be on our side any more in Obamaland.
This administration is more concerned about spreading Islam than it does freedom.

  21. Daniel hates Red Tories: It’s worth bearing in mind that US largesse to Israel (and to Egypt) is a result of the US involving itself in the Israel-Egypt peace arrangement. Israel gave up considerable security by leaving the Sinai at US urging and needed to maintain a military edge, which is what the funding is for. No one forced the US into the situation.

  22. We had something like that once. They were called BOMARCs. They even had nuclear warheads. But we had to get permission from Washington to arm them. Oh, and we killed the Arrow to make room for them (thank you John Diefenbaker).
If tiny little Israel can afford nuclear weapons, we certainly can. It’s a matter of will, not means. But you should remember that the current government is busy demolishing the only institution that could carry out such a mandate, AECL.

  23. Holy Mackerel.
Haven’t seen a breach of confidence like this since Peter C. Newman turned traitor on Muldoon.

  24. Incorrect, Daniel.
I wouldn’t send any of them a penny, EXCEPT Israel. Why? Because they are our ally, they have a democratic government, everyone within their borders is treated equally, i.e. the sexes, and the various religions that call Jerusalem home, and they are beleaguered by their larger neighbours who despise them.
Sending money to the other countries has not made them friendly towards us for one reason, and one reason only: they are Muslims and we’re infidels. And it hasn’t helped the average citizen in those countries.
Islam believes in world domination which the Jews are not planning. They want to be left in their land in peace, and if we can assist them (after not protecting them in 1937), then I believe we should do so.
The only people I would help in the Muslim countries are the thousands of Christians who are being killed, beaten, imprisoned and tortured.
Calling me a small “c” conservative is the best compliment I can be paid.

  25. You waste your time Gellen …. any post about Israel brings out the idiots.
The cause of this outrage is the idiot-in-chief-arsehole-in-the-whitehouse.

  26. De Nile (Daniel)
U seam a little short on understand strategic alliances that help strengthen ones defense. Helping Israel helps keep the NME at bay, and for a small price, throw in the fact that Israel helps USA with their defense development program, and U got a real good deal!!!!

  27. Yeah well, what makes ya think the IDF is surprised?
All along they probably planed to build a big fence around the alleged site, run a buncha trucks n’stuff in and out and make the area look like a missle base from overheads.
Meanwhile, they quietly build the real base in a secret, secure location….and don’t tell nobody.
The yanks will figure it out of course and whadda they gonna say to the IDF…..”Tell us where it is because the fool in the WH wants ta yell it from the roof-tops.” Really?
Remember these are the folks who pulled off the Raid on Entebbe.
