    Well if you don’t mind the CBC stealing your money at implied gun point (ostensibly…har de har har, to promote Canadian culture I am sure) for a private box at the Queens Jubilee concert to the tune of 75 to 100 G’s then don’t be offended.
    If private individuals or companies wish to spend their very own money that way who cares??? It’s none of my beeswax.

    Private individuals and companies get to write that expense off against earnings. It’s our money being wasted, so you should care. But SDA teabaggin’ orthodoxy dictates a selective outrage, so you won’t care. When conservatives and their friends are at the trough, big government is a wonderful thing.

    If a PRIVATE company wants to piss away their money if is none of our beeswax . But our state broad caster has no right to misuse tax payer dollars the way they do and not only that they also refuse to tell us where they spend it!!!!!

29. Gentlemen i think you misunderstand our dear friend Phil. He feels if those nasty companies or individuals didn’t spend their EARNINGS on these things then they could just hand it over to the government and lessen the tax burden on the little sheep.
    Phil,
    the very fact that you think you monies saved from the grasping hands of the tax revenue department is a “BAD” thing is troubling to say the least. A penny saved and spent freely by the entity MAKING it is a penny that flows through our economy. A penny stolen from the productive to give to a government agency is just that a penny stolen and most probably wasted.
    Imagine thinking that money actually belongs to those that make it instead of it belongs to the government except what they allow the productive to keep, Jeepers and this is different from slavery how?

    If other taxpayers subsidize that activity, it is our beeswax.
    It is a BAD thing when select individuals and companies get to write off certain activities at the expense of other taxpayers. Sky boxes, meals and taking your poodles on the road are not legitimate business expenses.

    Instead of looking to lessen ones own burden by using legal means of spending their own earnings they look to make the burden heavier for others. As if that would actually work.
    Feed a pig it just gets bigger it never gets full and leaves some for later or a rainy day.
