106 departments? The founding father would kick their collective behinds for even thinking of having 106 departments let alone mandating them to have devices that can spy on their own subjects. But what can one expect fro a culture that has swat teams in the department of education?

Personally I’m waiting for the large-by-huge lawsuit that’s going to come the first time some doofus flies one of these drones into a house, school, car, office building, small aircraft… big aircraft…
I predict it won’t be long.
I also predict creative uses of lasers and other techniques to blind or otherwise frag these things as they fly over farm land and such. Home made, self-aiming laser turrets anyone? Check Hack-A-Day, they have all kinds.
Given that some “UAV systems” are nothing more that commercially operated aerial photographers trying to make an honest living… the insinuation is beyond ludicrous, it’s uneducated beyond appreciation of the general public. Maybe instead of crying wolf. Pay attention to the over regulation of a revolutionary business model!
