  1. He spent more than McCain and one; now he spends more and is losing. The Eminences Grises must be confused. Maybe people have just had enough of the economic approach as shown by his political campaign – spend more than you have.

  2. The question is why wealthy businessmen and large businesses support Romney. I would be nice to think that giving was based on political views but realistically this kind of money follows a deal.

  3. Runs his campaign likes he runs the country . . . into debt and wrt his campaign, hopefully ruin.

  4. Obama must believe there will be sufficient inflow in august and Sept. If they are wrong they will be in deep dodo. Obama controls.80% of the dough. The dnc the other 20. Romney is the reverse.
Obama will.spend on himself and not other dems. The rnc has greater ability to assist others.
Different structures ans different strategies. Romney holding powder till Aug Sept.and Oct. Obama trying to predefine Romney and hope to raise more based on that success….hope indeed.
Obama’s campaign may well run out of.fuel at the worst time. It is a high overhead, high leverage strategy. Romney is a more traditional strategy of waiting till the electorate is paying attention.
Us elections are true campaigns, multiple battles over a long time frame.
    Fascinating to watcj

Your probably right…..OBOZO has proven that principle for 4 straight years….solyndra…etc etc etc….

  6. As long as Romney doesn’t campaign for forced polygamy or moving the U.S. capital to Salt Lake City, which is not that bad an idea actually, he should be able to rid the system of the Obama virus. I’m sure they are holding back on the birth certificate question as a possible last stage knockout blow, but it would be better to get rid of Obama simply because he’s a Marxist, in retrospect, this was American history’s biggest “what were we thinking?” moment, at least since Elin said “I do” to Eldrick.

  7. Obama won’t bankrupt the party. He will simply put through an emergency stimulus bill to cover his campaign. After all it’s to save a job, namely his.

  8. This is a sign of the impending democrat apocalypse. Running a deficit this early in the POTUS campaign is a signal to democrats in office everywhere who are facing an election in november that it is Everyman for himself — that Obama has no electoral coattails – quite the contrary; he is a politcal anchor, an albatross.

  9. Used to think that obama was the us version of trudeau.
Then I reconsidered and thought he was a us version of Chretien.
Now I see he has morphed into Paul Martin.
Can’t wait for the air guitar solo.

  11. What’s missing from the article is how Obama is also using the taxpayer dollars to finance his campaign travels. The Whitehouse sets up a trip to a city, includes some small official function, then Obama will spend the rest of the day at partisan functions and fundraisers. One recent example was a one day trip to NYC, visit the Ground Zero Memorial for a short time, then attend a fundraiser in the evening. The cost of local security is an expense to the City of New York (not that his friend, Mayor Slurpee Slayer, would complain) and the transportation is costed to his Presidential account. The GOP has raised complaints, but I’ve heard of no response to the complaints.
