That principal is all too typical of the idiots who run our public school systems: to make it to the top, one has to be either a brain dead lefty or be willing to behave as if one were.
E.g., One can wear green for Saint—horrors!—Patrick’s Day, but ignore the reason for it, but on “Pink Day”—some time in April—to counter “homophobia and transphobia [my spell check has tagged this word]”, the reason everyone’s required to wear pink is front and centre. So, no recognition of anything Christian—the religion which is the FOUNDATION of our public school systems, as well as of the whole idea of “no bullying”—but lots of promotion of the idea of homosexual “victims”. The real victim of the public schools’ bigotry, intolerance, and lack of diversity is Christianity and Christians. The ignorant, public education useful idiots are SUCH hypocrites!

Turns out this was just a case of either lazy reporting, or someone trying to create a controversy where there was nothing.
Turns out they just called the day BEFORE St. Patrick’s Day “O’Green Day” to celebrate it since St Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday. Yes, where is the diversity that was to accompany multiculturism? Diversity that is inclusive to the degree that Christianity has an equal place in Canadian (and western) life.
The ACLU and their ever-increasing demands to rid society of all things Christian has not been put to what will be the most difficult test for them.
Banning the allegiance to the flag, God Bless America, St. Patrick’s day, Easter and Christmas were easy victories. I want to see what happens in the US when they’re faced with the pressure the Toronto school board surrendered to so quickly: Imams demanding daily prayer time in the schedule and halal food in the cafeteria.
Principals (and teachers) walk a very fine line, regardless of their own personal opinions, and if they’re not willing to be flexible, they have one option: resignation.
When I was younger, St. Patrick’s Day was a good excuse to head out drinking with Irish friends. Why anyone would want to change the name of this day is beyond me and it suggests that there are too many school administrators where this idiotic idea came from.
coach, I’ve been out drinking on 17/3 with both Catholic and Protestant Irish although on more than one occasion I’ve had to step in to break up fights between the two groups. Seemed to get along just fine when they were sober.
