She also referred to the billions in subsidies that “the Harper government” gives to the oil industry.
A previous poster to SDA some months ago mentioned these subsidies, and provided a link that I loooked at.
What they described as “subsidies” was actually allowing the oil companies to deduct the costs of the natural gas they consumed to produce the oil.
Never got an answer on how allowing businesses to deduct their costs of production amounted to a subsidy.

Imagine the amount of money spent by sending a minister and his entourage.
