“Canada is kicking ASS in the Fossil Of The Day Awards! – Stan
In the past three days, Canada has earned itself two first place and two second place medals, including an impressive sweep on Day 1 in Durban. (The U.S. and Poland deserve honorable mention for their first place medals.) Canada looks on track to earn a 5th consecutive Fossil of the Year.
Now, time to head on over and gloat!

Peter Kent needs to step up his game, third is just not good enough. Push it for the win, Peter!
“Peter Kent needs to step up his game, third is just not good enough. Push it for the win, Peter!”
But to be fair there are too many countries populated by English speaking white people to blame us for everything. In real terms we are tiny polluters. It is only fair that the post-colonial inferiority complex spread its hate evenly on the white English speaking world.
Kick yo’ ass: Lord.
“That is what Canada and America want, and one or two other countries,” he said.”
Go see Lord’s finger-pointing.

“This just in Elizabeth May, Canadian MP for Saanich and the Gulf Islands has just had a heart attack after accepting the Fossil Awards for Canada in Durban. By-election to be held in the early spring, late May or early June.” Well we can hope can’t we!!!!
Berekely….the weirdest of the weird.
From Bloomberg Story/Comments by Mis May the Green Hog Wallower…”Penalties apply in the second commitment period,” said Horne. “More importantly though, Canada’s international reputation will be tarnished.”
The $6.7 billion cost of complying with Kyoto compares with an estimated C$75.9 billion ($74.8 billion) in combined budget deficits projected through the fiscal year ending March 2015. By rejecting the accord, Prime Minister Stephen Harper is putting the country’s economy at risk, Elizabeth May, leader of Canada’s Green Party, said in an interview.
“We’re condemning ourselves to rising costs from extreme weather events as well as opportunity costs like the failure to have a renewable-energy industry,” she said. “The world would be grateful for Canada to be constructive instead of the government consistently repudiating Kyoto.”
“The award is judged by 700+ member organizations of Climate Action Network.”
Yep, no agenda there whatsoever. It’s obvious in the name that “Climate Action Network” is not a lobby group — it’s a group of objective scientists doing a blind review on Canada’s environmental policy.
Sounds to me like they could even be Conservative activists — “Fossil of the Day Award” sounds kinda cool, sorta like an Indiana Jones adventure discovery!
Maybe we should award something special to the Suzuki Foundation and the Al Gore’s of this world as well, such as: “Wealthy Eco-fascist Jet-Setters and Carbon Emitters of the Decade Award”.
I’m gonna go out and cut down some trees for firewood to celebrate. According to these kooks that’s carbon neutral so it’s ok.
Watts, McIntyre, Ball, Adler and Kate should receive honourable mention.
BTW, Kate is mentioned on page 153 in Mark Steyn’s new book “After America”. A round of applause and a toast will suffice.

““We’re condemning ourselves to rising costs from extreme weather events”
Why has the period of higher carbon been characterized by moderation in weather severity? My climate model says increased levels of CO2 moderate temperatures. It’s obvious from actual climate data, not the anecdotal crap.
OUR CBC wins the Suzuki AGW Moral Award, survey says, experts agree, critics confirm, stats show.
You westerners “created the problem”, CBC’s proxy says. Out to lunch with Paul who is a favourite leftist pump of Mikey Harris, CFRA.
“One thing Heinbecker underlined was the need to get the protocol signed calling it a “moral issue.”
“The people who created the problem are the people in the West,” he said, adding that asking less industrialized nations to take on equal billing is the equivalent of “inviting people to your dinner and then asking them to split the bill.”
(Sorry for the billion$ link to OUR CBC)

Scar just to be clear, in my post. I am quoting Mis May from a Bloomberg article here. This is her Green Marxism showing. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-12-02/canada-may-escape-6-7-billion-bill-by-exiting-kyoto-protocol.html

“Scar just to be clear, in my post. I am quoting Mis May from a Bloomberg article here.”
Yep. I got it just after I posted.
Hey, seems to me we should have a Fossil Pride Parade in front of the rub and tug shrine to Jack on Dundas street. What better way to bring the hardware home from Durban.
Im puzzled.
If part of the Kyoto agreement is a penalty if you don’t achieve the target, how can a country be penalized if it pulls out of the agreement?
The economist in me seems to think not being in an agreement with an unattainable target, hence a no win deal and a licence to print money for the I I PC makes good economic sense.
Feeling better eh, Kate! Good!
Feeling better eh, Kate! Good!
Any bad day for the Lizzy is a good day for me. Makes my blood pressure drop noticably.
Really, the fossils are the ones who still believe in this AGW nonsense….that’s the old way of thinking.
The Alberta Oilsands are proud to accept the Fossil Awards at any time. Since it is through the Fossil we get ‘The Fossil Fuel’ .

Dizzy May says: “We’re condemning ourselves to rising costs from extreme weather events…”
========
Poor Dizzy May, like so many eco-freaks, doesn’t see the fallacy in that argument. We may very well be seeing “rising costs from extreme weather events” but that could just as easily be because we have much more human habitation on the ground, now. A hurricane or a tornado ripping through a big populous city causes far more devastation and damage than a hurricane or a tornado ripping through open countryside. But, don’t count on eco-freaks to entertain any scenario other than a doom and gloom “it’s all our own fault for warming the planet” scenario.
“The official government news agency of China, Xinhua, reprimanded Canada for setting a “bad example.”
That’s rich.

On behalf of the people of Canada I would like to thank the honorable members of the board who worked so hard at determining this years winner.
In conclusion I would only add my dearest wish: Would you oil companies please STOP BURYING all the plant food! Its hard enough growing a forest without you clowns making its food disappear.
Think of poor Bambi. sob sob sob
Go Canada Go!
Without CO2 in the atmosphere and water all plant life dies. Shortly after that all animal life dies. I am doing my part to supply the atmosphere with more ‘liberated’ CO2 every day to promote plant life but I can only afford so much fuel.
Next earth hour I will have every vehicle idling in the driveway, all the lights on and a bonfire going.
But do these outweigh the ‘Coprolite Research Association of Paleoscatologists’ certificates put out by – if memory serves – the student association of the Colorado School of Mines? Not in my books.
The fix is in unless we win the gold.
6.7 Billion – that’s about $200 bucks each … not bad money for not being stupid.
Makes you proud to be Canadian.
Makes you proud to be Canadian.
Louise – “Poor Dizzy May, like so many eco-freaks, doesn’t see the fallacy in that argument.”
In all fairness, she is a moron.
