Of course, he’s correct. But will we actually pull out?
Rex Murphy’s days, at the Communist Biased Corporation, may well be numbered if he keeps telling the truth on the MotherCorp.
Last night on CBC news there were several lefty loonies criticizing Rex. It’s tough to put on the right spin when Rex won’t co-operate. They had to hire a few lefty mercenaries to straighten things out.
If public (misguided)opinion insists on keeping Mothercorp alive, then Rex Murphy would be a good choice to run it.
Not that he would consider it an honourable endeavour!
Rex is spot on as usual.
He needs his own show on right after Ezra
Rex, is a national treasure, for the most part his insights are bang on. I often wonder how lefties became so stupid, I used to think it was an act but the older I get the more I realize it is just stupidity and laziness to get out and work for their own money. Lefties suffer from NO pride, look at the slimy Suzukis ads right now if no pride does not sum up these parasites of the left, all of them.
He must sit alone at the CBC Christmas party or should I say the “holiday tree” party.
I think when CBC took Rex on as their token “curmudgeon” they got more than they bargained for. Perhaps they thought they could make fun of him, but you can’t ridicule a person whose intellect and logic towers over all. The only one who, as I recall, was able to make fun of Rex Murphy was Lorne Elliot referring to his “many-tentacled sentences”. However, Rex’s recent sentences are pithy enough.
The “busy bishop” indeed. Heh.
Hey, It’s nearly Festivas for the rest of us and this was an excellent airing of grievances by Rex.
I couldn’t afford an Aluminum pole this year, so I bought the artificial Fesitvas Pole made of PVC and painted silver.
Feats of strength anyone?
Rex is fearsome when he’s in full throat. And you can still catch a bit of the Newfoundlander inflection when he’s really lettin’ her fly.
North_of_60: Global warming alarmism and the supposed role of carbon dioxide in climate change may be wrong.
Japanese national broadcaster, NHK World, broke the astonishing story on their main Sunday evening news bulletin (October 30, 2011). Television viewers learned that the country’s groundbreaking IBUKU satellite, launched in June 2009, appears to have scorched an indelible hole in conventional global warming theory.
Industrialized nations emit far less carbon dioxide than the Third World, according to latest evidence from Japan’s Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). https://data.gosat.nies.go.jp/GosatBrowseImage/browseImage/XCO2_L3.gif
To all policymakers who study the Japanese maps it is apparent that the areas of greatest CO2 emissions are those regions with least human development and most natural vegetation: Equatorial Third World nations.
The Japanese evidence also disproves the often-cited hypothesis that Siberia and other areas of northern Russia were natural vents for large scale CO2 outgassing, exacerbating global warming fears.
In effect, this compelling new data appears to show that the industrial nations are ‘mopping up’ carbon dioxide faster than their manufacturers and consumers can emit it. If this is confirmed, it means a cornerstone of man-made global warming may be in serious doubt. http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2011/10/31/japanese-satellites-say-3rd-world-owes-co2-reparations-to-the-west/
In truth, I think we are all worried about the environment and some of the out and out pollution and destruction of lakes and rivers etc., as found in mostly 3rd world and communist countries. Many of us worry about how we can continue to produce tons of (let’s face it) unnecessary junk that so many think is needed. But the route these people want to take has more to do with so-called redistribution of wealth in the most socialistic sense. The desire to get ahead is not sinful; ask David Suzuki and Al Gore! It is all about the windmills of their minds.
I LOVE the fact that Rex is in direct contradiction to the rest of the peons at CBC. He must drive them crazy!
It continues to be a national disgrace that Rex Murphy is considered to be “way out there on the Right.”
That’s a dead Center-spectrum opinion. He says nothing that isn’t A) true and B) obvious. Bless him for saying it, particularly at the Ceeb where I’m sure he takes more than his share of slings and arrows.
And again, it just goes to show that only The White Man can be guilty of environmental destruction. Canada bad, China good. Barf!
Rex is a National Treasure, a man who speaks the blunt truth as he sees it and lets the poo fly where it may.
America may have had Andy Rooney as it’s National Curmudgeon but we have the far more articulate and cerebral Rex as ours. As Frazier Crane would put it, ‘keep on talking Rex, we’re listening.’
I’m just going to throw this out there: I love Sun News (don’t change for anyone). But if a guy like Coyne and a guy like Murphy were to join that organization…. it would be something to behold.
Good speech by Rex – it almost makes up for his support of Bob Rae as the new Liberal leader…almost
Anyone that believes that Africa’s biggest threat is the Alberta oilsands is being foolish or dishonest. As a religious man, Tutu should be truthful and admit that what he really wants is for Canada to purchase carbon indulgences to fund his and The Elders more worthwhile goals.
I see Tutu and Friends as merely a new and improved version of the Charest and Dalton Show, who headlined at the last Climate Change Festival and attempted to shame the Canadian government into submission. I don’t think that we need to take advice from leaders (political or spiritual) of financially backwards jurisdictions who have no direct knowledge of oilsands operations or their importance to our economy. They can grandstand all they want but, no, we are not wrecking our economy to reduce the global temperature by a fraction of a degree sometime in the next thousand or so years*.

DEFICIT RIDDEN CANADA BORROWING $1.2 BILLION TO GIVE TO CORRUPT DICTATORS
The Climate Change Fund (CCF) will increase the reach, power, and authority of global governance and transfer at least $100 billion per year to socialistic, despoiled countries who repudiate democracy, freedom, and/or creating their own wealth. When Canada is inflicted with a $30 billion deficit, and $600 billion debt, why is our so-called fiscally conservative PM borrowing $1.2 billion of Canadian’s wealth to give to socialistic dictators?
The recipients, who are commonly corrupted/socialistic leaders, are demanding annual transfers of hundreds of billions of dollars, and on top of that, if you can believe it, they don’t want the donor countries to have much authority as to how the money is spent (wasted), to monitor the spending of our tax dollars, or to authenticate emission reductions. Harper must opt out of this tax increasing proclamation by asserting that Canada categorically will not raise the necessary taxes which will be required if we contribute to this scam fund which will finance the retirement funds for thousands of corrupt, socialistic, illegitimate, wacky-job leaders such as the Mugubes, Kims, Hus, Ahmadinejads, and Chavezes of this world. Surely we all remember the last time that the UN was given responsibility to administrate a multibillion dollar program, and how they incompetently screw-up the corrupt “Food for Oil” fund.
Tutu is 100%$ dork.
He’s like Al Sharpton, a race baiter but with a British type accent and a smile.
Still a dork
Ah, the sweet irony.
The two most popular individuals at Mother Corp, are also the ones that refuse to parrot the lib-left talking points.
Rex Murphy and Don Cherry.
You would think they would catch on by now.
So who really paid fot this full page propaganda?
It sure wasn’t that buffoon TuTu.
And was he paid for this?
These are the questions that will never be investigated by the journalistic frauds.
‘Fossil of year award’ not bad, not bad.
The fossils are proud to earn such an award/s for its ccontribution in giving us ‘fossil fuel.’
Hey Elizabeth May, guess what, this graphic chart shows that the USA is number 2 worst emitters just below China in the world. Now, how does that grab yah. I forgot you detest Canada the third lowest emitters in the world.

Tutu made a bubu.
Well, I’ll give Ol’ Dez his due – he was one hell of a voice for freedom.
But, whether it’s a bit of senility setting in, or, he feels lost without the anti-apartheid drum to beat, he’s almost as much of a misfit in this dog-fight as Michael Moore is in the anti-capitalist crusade….okay, okay – I did say almost!

William in Ajax, what is that old saying, something about “follow the money”.
Sayitasitis Rex a glorious bastard. Curious how all the sandal wearing crowd will fill up their Volts, Leafs etc. without carbon produced electricity.
Rex belongs on Sun News.
On not so sober a second thought, if he was on Sun News – those CBC consumers may not have any access to an “antidote to the Kool-aid”.
Probably better that Rex stay at the Mother Corp and save as many lives as he can.
Great commentary by Rex! He’s right about that “busy bishop,” charlatan Desmond Tutu. Tutu’s drunk the Anglican Kool-Aid, which has relegated both him and his bogus church to irrelevance, which is why they spout such colourful nonsense always in front of the cameras.
Kookie Suzuki just became Spooky Suzuki! He belongs in Halloween, What a creep!
I think Rex must exact a certain measure of pleasure from existing amongst the leftist-enviro-tards of the CBC. I don’t know how else he could stand it.

Well said, Gavin. As a Canadian, I must admit, that I never thought I would see the day that the USA would sound more to the left than Canada.
You should consider immigrating here. There’s more conservatives in Canada than you might think.
