  1. It occurred to me yesterday while reading a legal opinion that “settled science” proceeds from the same line of thought as “settled law.”. Once a matter has been decided by the self-appointed masters of the discipline, all subsequent exploration must stand on prior decisions.
The rationale for this concept in law is stability and predictability, yet even in law wherever there is a distinction there is grounds for precedent.
But to global alarmist lawyers like Al Gore, the court has spoken and cert is denied for anyone challenging standing decisions.
This is one side-effect of having lawyers become law makers. The world is not shaped by fundamental reality, but upon artful pleadings and novel theories of the way things ought to be.
Like courts, the rules are fashioned by the lawyers for the benefit of the lawyers, not the principle parties.

  2. Donna Laframboise is very well spoken.
I hope to see and hear more of her in the future because although many on the skeptic side of the AGW argument do know what Donna knows, few seem to be able to articulate what they know as clearly and confidently as she does.

  3. And the same crap is going on provincially. Time for an enquiry into the workings of Ontario Nature, CPAWS, Suzuki Foundation, Save Ontario Species, etc.
What is the extent of their influence, and, how many taxpayer dollsrs have they sucked up in the past decade?
Can’t wait for Hudak to get to the bottom of this.

  4. Are you kidding me? I can’t buy a hard copy? They only have the Kindle version on Amazon etc!! I won’t BUY a Kindle. I sit in front of a screen for 10hrs a day, I’ll be damned to try read a book that way….with 7pt. helvetica yet! We climate deniers are dinosaurs, don’t you know!

  5. Well, I did one-click it onto my Kindle and look forward to reading her book. I set my Kindle at the dinosaur-sized font so reading glasses aren’t necessary. Can’t do that with a hard copy. I’m really heartened to see Commie Canucks beginning to side with the skeptics. Europe should begin to take note.

  6. I read today that Coca Cola is supporting the WWF in their campaigns against global warming. Only Pepsi products for me from now on.

  7. and once again the real scientists refute gore’s babblings…

Images of the Arctic ice shelf cracking up are an icon of the damage wrought by global warming.
But a team of researchers from the Universite Laval in Canada have found evidence that one ice shelf might have broken up before, 1,400 years ago – long before industrialisation had any impact on the planet.
A study of sedimentary material on the bottom of Disraeli Fjord in Canada, found evidence of what the team described as a ‘major fracturing event’ 1,400 years ago.
They found the ice shelf appeared 4,000 years ago staying whole for several thousand years before fracturing 1,400 years ago. They said it didn’t fully re-freeze until 800 years ago.
