  1. I got this from a comments thread somewhere:
    We can’t wait . . .
    October 24, 2011
    Dear President Obama,
So “Yes we can!” has been morphed into “We can’t wait!” Interesting, considering the American public has been impatiently waiting to expel a bowel movement called “socialism” in the shape of an Obama Logo. I must say that a few of those OWS protestors are sitting with crossed legs to at the sight of all of the loaded port-a-potties facing the same issue. A big load of socialism with very little place left to put it. Well, Sir, we are going to find a place for it, and those that will be removing it are chomping at the bit to vote for the largest excrement removal since the Carter Administration. The question is will it be worth the aggravation.
I ask this only because it would appear that Romney has lost Mr. Will. As in George Will. Now, I remember the days when I was a college student, and I was sitting around, and if I picked up a magazine and needed some well written column on politics, I would read his. That man has a way with words. I don’t. I’ve always been kind of blunt. Why would the people vote for half a commie when they can have the full monty? Between Romney and you I still have not been, nor will I ever be convinced into thinking even remotely that Mr. Romney is anything other then a carbon copy of you both intellectually and politically. Besides, why would the Republican party nominate a guy from Massachusetts?!?! Just because they think that’s their best shot? That’s ridiculous.
The purpose of our political system is not to rig the game. It’s to have one. Let’s have a real bone fide election. Let’s have a game that tries to pitch America a socialist pinko commie verse a red blooded American throwing strikes with words like liberty, freedom, family, faith, and a smaller federal government that is a honed scalpel, and not a jack hammer just waiting to whack us. Let’s have those same men or woman fire off at each other in a debate of ideas, and challenge each other, as to why more of our money should become the governments just so we can whack Grandma a few years sooner, and convert insurance companies into tax collectors, and doctors and nurses, into slaves of the federal government. Let’s have a real debate between peace through strength and a debate about an ever evolving war for one side of the same muslim/arab coin. Let’s get down and dirty as to how and why we are gazillions in debt and deficit. Let’s put it all on the line, and trust the American people to make the right choice.
Isn’t that why we are here in the first place? I think so. I think we are here to form a more perfect union, live good lives, and love one another. I think we are smart enough to know that when the government is stuffing so much garbage down our throats, and we feel the fierce urgency to vote, we are forced to wait until the proper date and time to register our extreme displeasure with the situation. We do it. We do it because we are not permitted to operate outside the law. We do it because we respect The Constitution and we are tired of watching liberal Democrats use it as toilet paper in pursuit of their socialist nightmare. I’m very proud of the patience that we are all showing while being forced to wait to vote you out of office. Frankly, Sir, I think we all deserve The Medal of Courageous Restraint. On November 6, 2012 we will be issuing you a plaque too, it will read . . . “In the early 21st Century. A man named Barrack Hussein Obama rose through the political ranks to hold the highest office in the land. Then, through a spontaneous effort of free men and woman, there arose a movement to preserve liberty in a free land for those not yet born and those to young to know the difference. They rose up peacefully and fought happily and they won. They won by standing up for what made this nation great; not by abandoning it in search of a nightmare called Socialism.”
    Respectfully,
    Joe Doakes

  2. As batb might say: well, well, well. This gal is going on a holiday, the outfit she shrills for enables her to collect a big tax payer funded paycheck, now she wants to quit her job while she goes on holiday and she wants us to ‘keep’ her job for her when she gets tired of being a party girl. Is CBC planning, on behalf of taxpayers, to hire another warm body to sit in for her? Are taxpayers going to be paying two people to do one job? How is it that this worker is given leave to dabble in partisan politics in a foreign country?
Questions for inquiring taxpayers to ask.

  3. Yes indeedy.
Wonder what she’d have done if her NPR boss had said to her: “That’s very commendable, Michele, but you do understand it does leave a gap we’re gonna have to fill ASAP. So, if you go, it’s permanent. Sorry, but we still have a radio programme to put together here as I know you’ll appreciate”?
But then, that would be too much like “life in the real world”, wouldn’t it?

  4. In Canada, the damn librul media people like Peter Kent join the CONservatives, and pinkos like Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin get appointed to the Senate by CONservatives.

  5. shocking. NPR gets the usual leftist drones from the Ivy League to bloviate, endlessly, it gets boring, very boring.

  6. “shocking. NPR gets the usual leftist drones from the Ivy League to bloviate, endlessly, it gets boring, very boring.”
Stoopid Ivy league punks with their big brains and edjumacations! Don’t they know that real media talkin’ guys are suppose to yell and makes stuff up about things?
What’s funny/sad here is how this woman did the right thing, and stepped aside, yet this still doesn’t work for you guys. You simply don’t want anybody who doesn’t share your radical (and you are radicals, just so we’re clear) opinion on things.
