  1. @james
“Any of you defenders of China here seriously think this would happen in any city in Canada? Any of the accidents or injured people I’ve come accross have had a crowd of helpers surrounding them.”
    Yea, never happen.

  2. You are right alex, there were hundreds of indian scalps hanging from my homesteading grandfathers cloths line drying in the sun. In fact,he made my grndmother a fur coat out of them.He was like any friend of the earth,he didnt kill animals but was willing to kill humans. As for church run boarding schools, you were away off. There were millions of children starved to death and murdered in every way because they got their marching orders from the liberal(socialist)govt. of the day.One or two got an education which prepared them for the society they were about to enter but that was just an aside and I am sure totaly unexpected. I am glad that you are informed on these matters but I am afraid you are much to CONSERVATIVE on your numbers.

  3. Robert: “But if anyone in Canada would DARE criticize such treatment of children in India then they would violate the #1 tenet of multiculturalism.”
Actually, Western observers and aid organizations lament mistreatment of children in India (and around the world) all the time. The difference is, they actually look to root causes and solutions, in partnership with actual Indians, rather than just shake their heads from afar, blame it on “Indian culture”, tsk-tsk, call for tighter borders, and call it a day.

  4. Oz: “Did anyone see that movie Slumdog Millionaire and the general attitude in India to the orphaned children portrayed in it? That, my friends, is typical of Asian culture.”
Robert: “Oz’s reference to Slumdog Millionaire is an even better example than my link to the story in China. In that movie the children are treated horribly, actually beyond horribly.”
Soccermom: “Robert @ 12:03 makes a very very good point. I could barely stomach watching Slumdog Millionaire and the way the kids were treated during that story. Made me sick to my stomach.”
The fact that a good number of folks here seem to have based their overall impression of Indian society primarily on what they’ve seen in a fictional Hollywood-style movie made by British folks, while remaining oblivious to just how ignorant, distorted, and incomplete that resulting perspective might in fact be, actually reveals quite a bit, don’t you think?

  5. Davenport said: “but going the added step of insisting that “ours is better than theirs” is the instinct of an eight year old child.”
Not if it -is- better, Davenport. And that is the point, isn’t it? There is a right answer and a wrong answer to the question “What do you do if you see an unconscious little girl bleeding on the roadside?” The strength of our culture is that we chose the right answer.
Others do not. And you’re right, you can find people in North America who will stand by and do nothing. They are called “@ssholes” in our culture, they are reviled and shunned.
As for your shot at the Victorians, who do you think started all those charities and foundations, schools and hospitals? Who campaigned for women’s suffrage, universal literacy, public hygene, police forces, fire departments, CLEAN WATER, and on and on and on? And why do you think they did it? Go look up Florence Nightingale, for a face-full of Victorian magnificence.
The Victorians created our world, Davenport.

  6. Oz >
“…attitude in India to the orphaned children”
Haven’t seen the movie, but have also spent allot of time in India (from one end to the other) your exactly right again, it makes your skin crawl from the time you arrive until you depart.
These multicultural losers talk out of their ass when they apologize and defend something they have never experienced much less fully comprehend.

  7. Tying a single event in a single, tiny, location to the failure of multiculturalism in Canada is a stretch even for SDA…
I expect better from the posters here.

  8. Davenport >
“…impression of Indian society primarily on what they’ve seen in a fictional Hollywood-style movie”.
Where do you get your impression of India from?

  9. while remaining oblivious to just how ignorant, distorted, and incomplete that resulting perspective might in fact be
    ~piffle
It only “might be” in your fevered mind, Davenport
I know it’s fact because I’ve seen it.
I’ve seen Indian orphans with their digits gnawed off by rats because they slept in the street.
I’ve seen temples in Indian cities where rats were worshipped where the worshipers daily fed the hoards of rats bread and bowls of milk while orphaned children starved in the streets outside the temple.
Where, I ask you Davenport, are the diatribes about falsely portraying Indian culture in such a poor light that would have barred the movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ from even being nominated for an Academy Award by the Leftist ultra-PC movie clique who run the academy let alone actually winning some?
That movie, fictional story as it is, portrays Indian life in the setting as it really is lived within the culture that exists there and even the Leftist PC American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences knows this to be true.

  10. syncrodox
An un-neccessary comment re your encounter with the loon with the machete….
The constabulary has a nasty habit of arresting and charging the “last man standing” or winner in such encounters.
    Tain’t right…tain’t wrong…just is!

  11. There is nothing wrong with the Chinese per say, once immigrated they tend to keep to themselves for the most part and create their own community bubbles in western society. The trouble is the mixing of multiple non compatible cultures which together overwhelm the host culture over time.
What these clowns on the left fail to realize is that ALL of these third world & developing cultures are not living in the western Liberal fantasy world, and never will. They vote in the beginning for Liberal entitlements, but once established kick the fairy godmother loons out. We are starting to see this with the Chinese in Canada now. BC a historical liberal stronghold is losing its grasp to the business oriented Chinese as their demographic is starting to control Vancouver and other places. How’s that Liberal HST double taxation working out for ya?
The Left are suicidal loons who can’t see the forest for the trees. The conservative right is trying desperately to save our sovereignty and culture from the onslaught of these inferior, corrupted, racist, and superstitious cultures which typify the bulk of the Third World. They will not change, it is we that will change and are currently in the process of changing to their sub standards.

  12. From Davenport’s link @11:56 – “Last week, state media reported that an American woman saved a Chinese woman from drowning in West Lake, a famous scenic spot in the eastern city of Hangzhou; commentators noted that only a foreigner would dare such a rescue.”
And that’s the ultra-politically correct CBC. I’m not sure you’re helping your own argument here Davs. (BTW, why are you writing “culture” in scare quotes?)
(I personally have no idea whether such behaviour is typically Chinese or not.)

  13. My favourite Davenport quote on this thread –
“…I wouldn’t replace it wholesale in Canada with Chinese “culture”, but going the added step of insisting that “ours is better than theirs” is the instinct of an eight year old child.”
Again what do you really know about China or India outside of some leftist propaganda outlet?
Do yourself a favour and follow the advice of “OZ”, Google Chinese Orphans for a start. Learn about the political system its modern history under Mao and where it is today. The cultural corruption in government and business, (one reason your kids chew on lead painted toys unless caught here), the fishing industry, workplace suicides, cultural gambling addictions, Chinese medicine and disappearing exotic animal species, consumption of aborted foetuses, to name but a few things you should understand better before blathering on about {all cultures are equal}.

  14. The Phantom: “Who do you think started all those charities and foundations, schools and hospitals? Who campaigned for women’s suffrage, universal literacy, public hygene, police forces, fire departments, CLEAN WATER, and on and on and on? The Victorians created our world, Davenport.”
Yes, progressive, social reformist, liberal/”lefty” Victorians, specifically. But I digress.
Of course, Victorian society created charities, foundations, schools, and hospitals, and campaigned for suffrage, universal literacy, public hygene, police forces, fire departments, clean water, and on and on and on because they were finally unable to ignore the depths of the rampant deprivation that existed in that exact same Victorian society. See, that’s the beauty of not going around insisting that one’s “culture” is the bestest in the world, ever. You don’t have to try to sweep the ugly bits under the rug in order to present some sanitised, one-dimensional, and frankly insecure version of oneself.

  15. Another brilliant Davenport deduction.
“….because they were finally unable to ignore the depths of the rampant deprivation that existed”
And that is why Canada still spends millions in aid to India & China every year as they build their space programs, nuclear arsenals, and China’s new aircraft carrier fleet.

  16. Knight 99: “The cultural corruption in government and business, (one reason your kids chew on lead painted toys unless caught here), the fishing industry, workplace suicides, cultural gambling addictions, Chinese medicine and disappearing exotic animal species, consumption of aborted foetuses, to name but a few things you should understand better before blathering on about {all cultures are equal}.”
Blah blah blah. And then someone else comes along and says, Yes, but on the other hand, there’s their strong work ethic, the centrality of family life, respect for one’s elders, the honouring of tradition, etc., while North America has its materialistic consumerism, obsession with celebrity, litigiousness, militarism, Standard American Diet, suburban architecture, etc.
Point is, give any society an honest and fair-minded look, and you’ll find plenty of good and bad. Given that reality, trying to claim that one culture is superior to another is idiotic, pointless, and predictable.

  17. “Chinese ‘culture’ isn’t the culprit; examples of callous bystander indifference to suffering are unfortunately universal.” – Davenport (8:05)

Are you suggesting that the citizens of Calgary, or Ottawa, or Saint Johns, or Winnipeg, or Lethbridge, or Timmins, would walk past and ignore a toddler who’d been struck by a car? If so – if you’re that out to lunch, and that out of touch with reality – why don’t you just come out and state outright that you, and the people you know, and the denizens of your city, would ignore and step over a toddler who’d been struck by a car and was lying bleeding in the street?
Your politically-correct indoctrination has damaged your ability to be rational. Exhibit A: you invoke (11:56) the fact that large numbers of Chinese citizens consider the appalling indifference of passersby to be a sure sign of of a widespread, deeply-ingrained political/cultural problem as incontrovertible proof that Robert is wrong in suggesting that there’s a political/cultural aspect to said indifference.

  18. Davenport – a society questioning itself is a necessary precursor to cultural change. And that is a good thing. But the fact that it is questioning behaviour and actions of some of its members suggests that there is a cultural norm to be revisited. The CBC article you cited even referred to other examples of Chinese in distress being ignored by fellow citizens. Where there is smoke ….
Of course the CBC being the CBC, goes on to quote the Chinese news announcer and attribute this behaviour to the immoral values of capitalists rather than do the heavy lifting and actually look into the underlying social and cultural causes that I found in my research. It is so much easier to blame a society’s ills on those imperialist, capitalist, pig, dogs than to look yourself in the mirror and own up.
And Davenport, I posit that in a globalized world it is very important to understand these cultural differences. The culture that that gives you the ability to say and do the things you want is different than that of many other cultures including Chinese. The question isn’t which one is better. The question is which one is best suited to providing Canadians with the society they want? Only by exploring that can we preserve what our history and value systems say is important and preserve it.
You seem to spend time researching some things and sometimes provide valuable information. When you are not in provocateur mode, look into this issue with an open mind.

  19. Very interesting comments.
I wouldn’t touch this with a ten-foot pole, living in Canada as I do where a disabled man was left unattended in a Wpg hospital waiting room for 34 hrs. and found dead, slumped in the wheelchair.
Do you know how many people walked by that man?

  20. “…I wouldn’t replace it wholesale in Canada with Chinese “culture”, but going the added step of insisting that “ours is better than theirs” is the instinct of an eight year old child.” Davenport Modern Liberal
Yes eight year olds are instinctively smarter and less corrupted then you.
Ours is better I don’t want worse and those that would stand by and even promote cultural equivalency are dumber than eight year olds.
There is NOTHING the left won’t do to reach their political utopia.
Once Liberal New York Jew explains
“Why the left will always side with evil over good, wrong over right and the behaviours that lead to failure over those that to lead to success.”

This is the lefty trick (I’m not saying it’s deliberately dishonest; just the result of sloppy thinking.) The petitio principii or “begging the question” fallacy. Argue that the left is good by asserting that every societal improvement since the dawn of time was left-wing.
Slavery was abolished legally abolished in the British Empire primarily by a fundamentalist – if that’s quite the word I’m looking for – whose other great ambition in life was the total conversion of India; not a multiculturalist, in other words. Any “social reform” movement is not necessarily leftist, Davenport; you’re thinking of “social justice”, which is Marxist. The Victorians built the infrastructure for private charitable enterprize (a field in which self-identified conservatives far outperform liberals, BTW). They were not statist by any means. Aside from women’s suffrage, Davs, nothing Phantom mentioned could reasonably be considered “left-wing”.

  22. “Point is, give any society an honest and fair-minded look, and you’ll find plenty of good and bad. Given that reality, trying to claim that one culture is superior to another is idiotic, pointless, and predictable.”
I won’t even say: “Have fun in Somalia, then.” I’ll just ask why you keep knocking our right-wing world view. I mean, it’s basically our culture you’re dumping on, isn’t it? Our cultural ideals, at least.
When will you learn to love, Davenport?

  23. As usual the concept completely and utterly passes right over Davenport’s head. We say that western culture is the best in the world and you say “but but it has it’s problems!!!!”. Where did we dispute that? No one said there aren’t any flaws in western culture. That doesn’t mean it’s not the best.

  24. a disabled man was left unattended in a Wpg hospital waiting room for 34 hrs. and found dead, slumped in the wheelchair.
Do you know how many people walked by that man?

    ~gellen
    43?
    Just a guess.
That, gellen, would be a case of union workers not doing their job.
Would you presume to second-think the professionals when the guy was already in a hospital?
Have you ever seen a stranger in a public place and thought they were asleep?
If so, did you walk up to the them and jostle them or talk at them to see if they were dead?
I never have, does that make me a bad person or merely respectful of the privacy of others?
If I’d been there I would be either struggling to get my needs met or my wife’s needs.
Do you have any idea through direct personal experience how hard it is to get timely healthcare in this country?

  25. Hey guys, I live in China. I just found out that Detroit has a violent crime rate of like 2000. This is very troubling. Since we know that Detroit is in America, this means that all Americans are murderous and violent. All Americans, please stay out of my country; your culture of murder is not welcome here.

  26. Black Mamba >
‘…it’s basically our culture you’re dumping on, isn’t it?”
    Bingo, Black Mamba nails it.
Of course Davenport(s) also promote an idealistic “change” to some fantastical and impossible dreamland where all these other “better cultures” will transform our crappy one into some blissful, sharing, caring lovefest (with big government oversight). That is ignorance of other cultures and indeed humanity at its highest level.

  27. Andrew >
“Since we know that Detroit is in America, this means that all Americans are murderous and violent.”
Not all, just a growing segment of it.
Another point is that it’s actually not only Detroit, but every other major Liberal city across America with generous welfare programs, large black or Hispanic populations, and gun bans.
Apologies if I couldn’t be less blunt and more politically correct, time constraints and off topic.

  28. Alex >
    “Dance monkeys, dance!”
Are you referring to the discussion about Blacks in Detroit or the Chinese? Either way I doubt your overt racism is condoned by SDA, and you IP address should be submitted to the CHRC for prosecution based on the Liberal standards you live by.

  29. Sorry, but you can’t invoke multiculturalism to explain the indifference displayed by the passerby’s during this event. Those 18 people that walked right past the little girl are morally no different that the thousands of Canadians who slow down and rubberneck every time they pass a collision.

  30. Davenport said: “Yes, progressive, social reformist, liberal/”lefty” Victorians, specifically. But I digress.”
Actually Davenport the term “liberal” has been stolen by the Left over the years to apply to their anti-freedom collectivism, whereas the Victorian use of the term means to increase LIBERTY regardless of social class. Black Mamba’s excellent comment above is directly to this point.
The Left has nothing to do with helping the individual. The Left at best ignores the individual to benefit the State. The Victorians by contrast ignored the State (and the perks and privilege of the ruling class) to focus on the benefit to individuals. Things like clean water and indoor plumbing. You can try to claim the work of the Victorian reformers and inventors for your own, but we both know it ain’t so.
Modern “liberals” such as yourself seek to tear down the works of the Victorians and replace them with North Korea. Either by design or through the failure of your dreams, that’s where you’re going to end up.
Modern Conservatives such as myself seek to conserve what the Victorians built and build upon it more. Greater prosperity, greater freedom, greater scope of action for the individual.
Part of that is debunking the tools of the Left, of which multiculturalism is but one. Hence your discomfiture when one of your sacred cows gets gored.

  31. Pretty much the same reaction?
Not in Alberta or Saskatchewan, champ.

hey Oz you champ. It MOST DEFINITELY HAPPENS IN ALBERTA! I have a neighbor that broke last week a couple miles east of Halkirk. Sat there for 3 hours and NOT ONE PERSON STOPPED. NOT A SOUL! NO ONE. Of course, most of the people traveling that highway on a Saturday morning are from Saskatchewan and headed to Red Deer. Maybe that’s the explanation…
I had an A$$HOLE refuse to even use his cell phone to call help for me a couple of years ago. AGAIN in Alberta. You’re living in the past CHAMP! No one helps anyone in this province anymore.

  32. “Either way I doubt your overt racism is condoned by SDA, and you IP address should be submitted to the CHRC for prosecution based on the Liberal standards you live by.”
You’re projecting, boy! Somewhere in Canada, a communist village is pining for it’s idiot.

  33. Davenport said: “Of course, Victorian society created charities …[snippage]… because they were finally unable to ignore the depths of the rampant deprivation that existed in that exact same Victorian society.”
Yeah. It did. And they FIXED it didn’t they? Compare and contrast with oh, randomly selected India, which successfully resisted the best efforts of the Victorians AND the Americans, and lives still in the grip of rampant deprivation 150 years later.
Which, duh, supports my argument and not yours.
Now of late India is finally -starting- to throw off that barbarism, since ridding themselves of the Ghandi dynasty. (Who were Marxists, incidentally.) India is doing better by becoming more like Canada. To the extent that we are doing worse, its by becoming more like India.

  34. the bear & Jim >
Comparisons between a bleeding & dying 2 year old laying in the street, doesn’t quite seem like the same thing as a broken down car on the highway, or rubberneckers watching emergency crews responding to an accident.
    Guess that’s just me.

  35. The Phantom >
The Indian mock British parliamentary system is something even good comedians can’t compete with. Thousands of “democratic” party candidates riff with corruption, bickering incessantly, complete and utter chaos. Nothing progresses forward unless big money greases the right hands. I remember when Mumbai a city estimated over 13 million people put in their first 50 experimental parking meters downtown a few years ago.

  36. Alex >
    “You’re projecting, boy!”
Off goes that sissy homosexual temper of yours again. Tsk tsk.

  37. Oz: Gosh, fella, don’t go over the top.
Did you hear any criticism of anybody in my post?
I’m trying not to judge the people in China any more than I would judge the people in the West.
Please note I didn’t make a dig at union workers or any hospital employee.
BTW, my aunt had a major heart attack while driving near Merrickville (name of the place is irrelevant, of course) and was left by the side of the road in excruciating pain by passersbys (in vehicles minding their own business). One lady finally stopped, and drove her to a clinic (she died a few hours later).
What would I have done in any of the cases mentioned? Who knows? Although I can say, I wouldn’t have walked by a child in the road.

  38. Knight99, I have it on good authority that nothing moves in India except on a layer of baksheesh. That’s why all those Sikhs came to Canada in the 1970’s and ’80s, so they could get something done in life.
Now of course Ontario is starting to move to the baksheesh standard, witness the windmills. Way to go liberals.

  39. Knight 99 : “Comparisons between a bleeding & dying 2 year old laying in the street, doesn’t quite seem like the same thing as a broken down car on the highway, or rubberneckers watching emergency crews responding to an accident.”
I expect that the average rubbernecker is hoping for a bit of bloody carnage to gawk at, or perhaps someone else’s misery to oggle. That most of the time, they only get to see the amazing tire change is irrelevant.
If you can help, you have a moral obligation to stop and help. If you cannot help (or if help has already arrived) then slowing down and having a look is only submitting to a primitive bloodlust.
Back to my original point, the 18 people who were filmed gawking at the child’s misery are indulging the same base urge that rubberneckers do. This is not a cultural characteristic. Call it an ugly facet of human nature, but we as a society are just as guilty of it.

  40. Jim >
Sorry Jim ya still haven’t convinced me. Fist off you make some pretty big personal assumptions of why rubberneckers do what they do. I’m not a rubbernecker myself and jump in with both hands when needed, but “hoping for a bit of bloody carnage to gawk at’ seems like a pretty far stretch – are they mostly Liberals perhaps?
Chinese are characterized by many, including themselves, with great pride as “the world’s greatest spectators” I think that this self assessment is closer to the truth, and it is indeed a cultural predisposition. Unfortunately it’s bit some “expert” cultural losers in the ass this time.

  41. Very sad. Not to judge others though. Like to give the benefit of my experience in my many travels. Was up near a Northern Ontario town. My front tire went flat. Vehicles drove past me as I parked on a narrow shoulder. I got laughs and sneers from one bunch of bozos., driving past.
A vehicle pulled up about ten feet behind me, to guard my carcass, as I changed the tyre. I said to the good Samaritan, “you would not want to see a man with a wife and two kids get hurt”. He said in a heavy French Canadian accent – “Hey I got ten kids” .
I got on my way. Many of the working class French Canadians who live in Ontario are the salt of the
    earth. Generous to a fault.
From England myself and here 56 years.

  42. In a way, we shouldn’t be surprised. China treats its own citizens like crap. This is yet another very tragic example of it.
Yes, strangers will sometimes ignore those in need everywhere but that is no reason why it should not be pointed out in a country where female infanticide is rampant and workers in factories get paid six cents an hour.
Finally, political multiculturalism IS a failure. If your first response to this awful tragedy is “no finger-pointing at the Chinese” you’ve proven it. Moral and cultural relativism can’t take away the stink of running a child down in the street and not even bothering to call an ambulance (in fact, the driver complained that he would have to pay more should the child survive- some human being!).

  43. knight99 – trying to justify leaving people alongside a road because you were in a hurry to get somewhere? Don’t answer, I’m pretty sure we already know the answer. The degree of the emergency (as you assessed without stopping) is of little consequence, your response to it (not stopping) – on the other hand is.

  44. Jim said: “Back to my original point, the 18 people who were filmed gawking at the child’s misery are indulging the same base urge that rubberneckers do. This is not a cultural characteristic. Call it an ugly facet of human nature, but we as a society are just as guilty of it.”
Yeah, sure Jim. First we have the Davenport co-opting of every good deed in history for socialism, now we have Jim with false equivalency.
You really think slowing down to look at a crash is the same as waltzing past a bleeding child two feet away? No, I doubt it. You don’t actually think that.
What you would like to do is pretend Robert and The Phantom are RACIST!!! But because we aren’t, and because you can’t come up with anything even faintly plausible, you resort to this sad, threadbare rhetorical trick.
Admit it Jimmy baby. If you saw a kid bleeding in the street and some f- walked past and didn’t even care, right after you finished looking after the kid you’d chase that guy down and kick his @ss. That’s how you were raised, because you live in Canada.
But because you’re a partisan sap, you can’t even admit the truth about yourself.
As to the slowing down, did you ever think maybe people mostly slow down so they won’t run over a fireman? You’re -supposed- to slow down, duh!

  45. The Phantom : “As to the slowing down, did you ever think maybe people mostly slow down so they won’t run over a fireman? You’re -supposed- to slow down, duh!”
Funny how watching for firemen when you are directly abreast of the scene and have your head turned 90 degrees to the left (or right) is preventing you from running them over!
Next time you are tempted to slow down and gawk at someone else’s misery, try tearing your eyes off the spectacle to the side and watch the drivers ahead of you. They are not “watching out for firemen”, they are looking for something shocking to entertain themselves with.
Phantom, I’m not pretending you are racist – I just don’t agree with you. If not agreeing with you makes one of us a racist, then I guess I’m arguing with a liberal! 🙂
I agree that I’d -like- to kick that “f-” who walked past the kid, but I think I’d be too busy helping.

  46. Now we have self professed conservatives defending a segment of Chinese culture by comparing Canadians who fail to stop for tire changes and rubberneck accident scenes, to people stepping over a little girl dying in the gutter. I guess we are becoming a lost and confused society.
I suppose the question is why?
Back to one of my original comments, why don’t more Canadians go visit or better yet live in some of these other places before they blindly accept foreign cultures so readily into our own? I’ve done it, you can too, possibly then you can appreciate what we have and what we stand to lose with our current attitudes about ourselves and open acceptance to anyone who is not us.
Over the last 30 years I have lived in Libya, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Malta, Venezuela, China, Singapore, India (part time), Malaysia and Indonesia as a permanent resident or a temporary resident. I have frequented every neighbour country to all of these listed over the years I (too many to list) plus many others in other parts of the world. To sit and try and convince me that all cultures are equal and we should accommodate whoever in Canada is a fool’s game made by fools. You do not understand what other cultures are about by reading it in a book, or listening to Liberal propaganda. If that has been your only source of information, you know nothing about the real world outside of your own living space.
Not a good vote for multiculturalism by any measure.

  47. the bear >
“trying to justify leaving people alongside a road because you were in a hurry to get somewhere?”
The short answer is no. The long answer is above.
Like you I live in Alberta, born here and will die here although I’ve spent a good portion of my life working & traveling abroad. Alberta is the greatest place in the world to me, for allot of different reasons. No one is forced to live here, and there will be no benefit to Albertans by packing the province full off third world immigrants as it has been for the last 10 years wholesale now.
Your comments about some Albertans failing to stop and help change a tire is a ridiculous comparison to the selfishness and thoughtlessness that you experience in most other countries. You will never import a better people from elsewhere; it’s all downhill I’m afraid, keep what we have and appreciate it for what it is not.
