All around the world, the barrier wall in the West Bank remains an ongoing source of outrage to opponents of Israeli statehood. Student activists from Massachusetts to Arizona to Australia continue to protest against the wall that separates Israelis from Palestinians; people like American author and activist Kathleen Christison rail against the “separation wall” that “separates Palestinians from the Jewish population.” Queers against Israeli Apartheid (“We stand with Queers in Palestine“) make reference to the “apartheid wall,” with the word apartheid, they helpfully inform, “literally meaning separation.”
I bring all this up because two days ago the PLO’s Ambassador to the US had a few words of his own to say about Jewish/Palestinian separation:
The future independent Palestinian state will not include a Jewish minority, (Maen Areikat) told USA Today on Wednesday, adding that it was in the best interest of both peoples to “be separated…I believe, I still believe as a first step that we need to be totally separated.”
And they wouldn’t even need to build a wall.

Massachusetts to Arizona to Australia rail against the “separation wall” that “separates Palestinians from the Jewish population.” Queers against Israeli Apartheid
(“We stand with Queers in Palestine”)
Be Advised, Be Advised,
Calling all Queers-
Come, come waste your life banging your heads against the Apartheid Jewish Wall..
Idiots of the world mixed with suicide bombers.
What a target rich environment..
Other than the Berlin Wall, there have been many walls built throughout history to keep barbarian hordes out. The following come to mind: The Great Wall of China; Hadrian’s Wall (north England, built to keep out the Scots during the Roman Empire) and he wall built by Israel to keep murdering Palestinians out.
So, yawn.
Strange, nothing is said about the wall between Mexico and the States. I guess it depends where you are at.
Maybe if they had stopped throwing bombs into Israel they’d have given the strip back. Then again, if I had a neigbor that wanted nothing more than to destroy me utterly i’d want a buffer zone too.
From the comments over at PJM:
If the Arabs laid down their arms there would be peace….
If the Israelis laid down their arms there would be no Israel (or Israelis).
If the activists are willing to be active in a hot war against Israel I’m all for it.
Support Israel, while you still have the chance.
Here’s the anti-Israeli spin cycle:
1. Arabs attack Israel.
2. Israel defends itself.
3. When Israel is deemed to go too far in its defense, condemn Israel as a murderous apartheid state.
OOpps, hit send to soon.
I have no doubt that the next Repubican President will support Israel. My fear is that by the time there is a Republican President, there may not be an Israel left to support.
Obama refused to support the attempted revolutions in Iran and Syria, but managed to undercut our best Arab Ally, Egypt, and let Turkey fall under the sway of a pro-Islamisit government. He then “lead from behind” in Lybia, managing to make the U.S. look weak while simultaneously helping former Al Queda members take over the country. He let Mubarik go on trial, showing all our allies in the area that no matter how loyal and supportive they have been of the US in the past, they can’t count on any support, even assistance at getting into a nice exile, from the U.S.
All the while Iran’s nuclear program continues. They have been two to three years away from getting the bomb for about 7 years now.
The question is this. Given the weakness and incompetence of Obama, and the strong probability that President Perry (or Romeny) would take active steps to strenghten Israel, does Iran feel that they have a limited window here in which to act? If so they may well see Jan 20, 2013 as a deadline; the date by which they must act or see the best chance they will ever have of eliminating Israel slip through their fingers.
No doubt these student activists do the protesting at the urging of their leftist antisemitic teachers and after having had suitable brainwashing.
@ max, that would be something like the Canadian Mackenzie-Papenau Battalion participation in the Spanish Civil War.

The Offspring
The words: “PLO Ambassador to the United States” are what struck me.
What’s most ironic is that the values and lifestyles of the hard leftist groups that hate Israel, hate Jews, would cause them to be at very risk of their lives in a Palestinian state.
1. Queers against Israeli Apartheid (“We stand with Queers in Palestine”) – We know how Islam and Islamists view gays and lesbians, as stoning targets.
2. They insist on separation of religion and state, not even public officials’ uttering “God”, so advocating “separation of mosque and state” would get them lined up for stoning right after the gays and lesbians.
3. for the merely misguided and naive on the left, who otherwise strongly believe in Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Religion, etc. -fundamentals of Western concepts of liberty- advocating, demonstrating for this gets one either killed or imprisoned in any Arab state.
People who were hoping for good things from the “Arab Spring” are today seeing Egypt’s ongoing “kristalnacht”, this time against Egypt’s Coptic Christian minority.
But no amount of fact and reasoning can get through to the left.
“queers against Israel Apartheid”
Fine. How about this answer to the queers.
When There are annual gay pride parades in Ramalla and Gaza city to match the ones held in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem (famous the world over) then we can knock the walls down.
@max: absolutely, we need more dead hippies. Most of them are so stupid a can opener is like a particle accelerator to them; it would be interesting watching them try to operate a firearm of any kind.
Here’s how they thank their supporters in Gaza.
Guess there wasn’t a bulldozer handy to make him stand in front of.
Michael, would Vittorio be eligible for the Darwin award?
Maybe they need to say: “The future independent Palestinian state will not include a gay minority…”
Oh wait! Gays get thrown under the bus whenever Muslim fanatics are involved. That’s how the victimisation pyramid works!
Oh well, back to the drawing board….
@Ken- EXCELLENT idea. Hell, they’d have to give him the lifetime achievement award.

Why, they are all about “fighting the occupation” of-course.
And these are the same hypocritical-propagandists who would brand self-
defensive anti-terror operations with a falsified “apartheid slur”, mind
you. All the while multi-racial democratic Israel treats its 20% Arab citizens with preferential treatment (affirmative action).
“The future independent Palestinian state will not include a Jewish minority, (Maen Areikat) told USA Today on Wednesday, adding that it was in the best interest of both peoples to ‘be separated… I believe, I still believe as a first step that we need to be totally separated.'”
So – no Jewish minority in the Palestinian state, eh?
OK, fair enough then.
However, I guess the Israeli response will have to be no Arab minority in the Israeli state.
Stand by, Palestine! You’re getting 1.3 million more citizens, you lucky fellows!
