  1. gangs of Little Alex and his Droogs
time for a bit of the old ultraviolence
Anthony Burgesses world has arrived on time.

  2. Unfortunately whilst this is probably not the full picture, reports on the UK news midnight tonight, indicate riots in Birmingham also. Expect that to increase by the morning.

  3. Looks like thugs marking thier territory.
That the English allow this make for more contempt than the Islamists.

  4. Doug Saunders from the Slop Pail news, just said on ctv, this is in no way related to the shooting..then asks ‘where are the programs/jobs for all these poor kids!’..wee bit of paraphrasing there but you get the msg.

  5. Too bad Germany won’t be invading France and forcing ol Blighty to arm up!
Nothing cleans the gutters like a good enforced conscription…………………..

  6. It seems the BBC (or a commentator) has called for the Army to be deployed…
That might work….as long as they are not armed with just paint-ball guns……

  7. “Back in the year 2011, England was added to the growing list of failed states.
Riots continued until Scotland Yard requested assistance.
Help arrived from the countryside, led by thousands of fox hunters and packs of hounds riding to the rescue. The rioter/invaders were driven into the sea and had to swim the Channel.
Later the surviving Fox hunters were knighted by the Queen.”

  8. At some point you have to start shooting rioters. Give them one warning or ten, but clearly the only thing they’re going to really understand is brute force.
Though even this is just a temporary solution of course. The welfare state has created so much economic and social rot that the UK is probably beyond saving.

  9. Arab spring, London summer, American fail.
Should we be looking forward to a Winter of discontent.
Its getting to be a refugee camp out there!
I’m told that barbeque cars come with their own fire starter.

  10. While it’s nice to see British youth crying out for democracy in this British Late Spring, the riots must be wreaking havoc on the tourist industry.
But,it’ll all be made better by next year’s Olympics, when the people come together to cheer on their favourites.
I DO hope the British OC are as big assholes as VANOC,then they’ll really see some riots.
Oh,and if it gets much worse over there, um, don’t call us.

  11. Good Lord – I’m looking at the lives shots on the BBC. Is the Luftwaffe back in business?

  12. and so it begins…..
fail to take out the trash long enough and eventually it turns into an avalanche
this is what happens when laws are not enforced due to moonbats ‘social engineering’and letting thugs think it’s society’s fault that they’re thugs…no consequences for actions simply ensures that eventually the law has no meaning and tribal law becomes the order of the day

  13. Seeing this uprising of “disaffected youts”, I really wonder if they’re going to riot harder or less hard when they are actually -hungry-. On the one hand they’ll finally have something to bee0tch about, on the other hand they’ll be a bit weak in the knees…

  14. The curious incident of the cops in the riot-time. But the cops did nothing in the riot-time. That was the curious incident. (Apologies to Conan Doyle).

  15. “What we are seeing, in the sluggish and unprepared reaction of the police and political class to these events, compounded by their serial failure to grasp from previous such disturbances just what is going on here, is a catastrophic combination of professional inertia and incompetence, serial eyes off the ball, paralysing political correctness, an apparent reluctance to identify, name and deal with subversive activity, a capital’s police force in systemic disarray, a criminal justice system that has become an insulting joke, a refusal from the top to draw clear lines in the sand and to exercise moral and political leadership, a pandering instead to mob rule, tyro politicians who have never had a grown-up job and couldn’t run the proverbial whelk-stall let alone get a grip on a culture teetering on the edge of the cliff, a third-rate civil service machine that no longer can be relied on to keep the show on the road, a culture of narcissistic selfishness on an epic scale and a general breakdown in education, morality and elementary codes of civilised behaviour, much of it deliberately willed on for the past three decades by a grossly irresponsible and politically motivated intelligentsia that set out to smash the west.”

  16. This is incompetence on an unprecedented scale. Seems that to become a cop in Britain one has to check ones balls at the police station first. Lighting fires in a city is a serious matter and the only solution is to shoot to kill the firestarters. I’m also in favor of shooting looters; preferably in the head as this ties up less medical resources.
Civilizations that can’t defend themselves deserve to fail and it will be interesting to see how British cities will be managing this winter. Such a situation would never happen in a country where the population is armed as the scale of the destruction would have prompted the self-organization of local defense forces which would have no misgivings about dealing with hooligans appropriately. Presumably the Thames could serve as a convenient body dump.

  17. “Is the Luftwaffe back in business?” Dave, that was great and very funny.
Seriously, these riots are the benefits of decades of Labour Party policy.
loki said “Seems that to become a cop in Britain one has to check ones balls at the police station first.” Agreed, Toronto and Vancouver have the same policy, but boy are they tough on innocent bystanders and media people.
Between the socialists and Islamists trying to undermine western democracy and capitalism there could be interesting times ahead. Sometimes I am sorry we had children, as they will most likely go through what our parents and grandparents went through during the first fifty years of the last century.

  18. Black Mamba:
Britain doesn’t really have a winter.
Are you referring to the Met office model projections where snow will be a thing of the past? I do recall a WUWT satellite photograph that seemed to show a totally white Britain last winter.
Ken, it seems the cops now are only after soft targets that they think they can intimidate. You can easily figure out how many cops are needed to subdue a crowd based on it taking 4 cops to deal with a harmless confused Polish man at Vancouver airport. So, for a crowd of 150 people who are rioting, one would need at least 600 cops and probably have to double that figure as these people might not be intimidated by the mere presence of someone in uniform.

  19. That’s true, it did snow last time around, didn’t it? But barely at all when I lived there. Maybe some of them have learned that tires can function even on the highway when there’s an inch of snow on the ground.
