Y2Kyoto: We’re Winning

In a blow to clean energy advocates throughout the Northeast, Gov. Chris Christie said this morning that the state will pull out of the region’s “gimmicky” cap-and-trade program by the end of the year.

  1. When will the Left learn that lie after lie after lie on this issue is the meteorological equivalent of falsely predicting the Rapture?

  2. “Christie acknowledged the effects humans are having on climate change”
    Terrific

  3. Nothing sickens me more than to hear a politician say that he agrees with the whole AGW premise. Other than Vlad…I’d like to see just one politico with the cajones to come out and call it the farce that it is. Are they worried the far left lunatics won’t vote for them anymore? These are the only wackjobs that actually believe in this crap anymore anyway.
I’d like to see Harper come out and tell everyone what a joke and a bunch of suckers they’ve been for ever believing in such a load of hooey.

  4. “the far left lunatics ….. These are the only wackjobs that actually believe in this crap anymore anyway.”
    If that were only true.
The push for people to “Save the Earth” by organizations of influence (MSM, teachers, WWF, Green Peace etc) has been going on for over 40 years.
A couple of generations have been bombarded tales of the coming apocalypse; acid rain, pesticides, disappearing ozone layer, disappearing rain forests, AGW and so on.
Any politician that wants to be successful changing things can’t start off by saying to a good portion of the electorate “you’re a bunch of wackjobs so let me set you straight.”

  5. it’s simple, folks. Go to your nearest whackjobs house and kill their power. Then stomp on their iphone, make their kid’s hunt for their own food, and laugh at them as they ask for help.No quarter given, none expected. Except I can survive better then the eco-whackos.Give me 20 of them and 2 weeks in the wilderness! Oh,and sugar in the gas tanks of their cars or a little baking soda on their electric cars posts, which recharge from dirty power!

  6. Christie tolerates low level econuts and muslim extremists presumably under a strategy of picking
off his major opponents starting with those public union officials capable of causing the most
economic damage to the state. Those who want to oppose these other threats must organize
separately to focus their efforts on them while also still supporting Christie.

  7. Well, it’s a start, but Christie is still an AGW believer. He’s pulling out because the solution doesn’t work. Hopefully he’ll see the light some day soon otherwise he’ll go searching for another AGW-type solution to a non-existent problem.

  8. Cal, you were actually agreeing with Johnboy, all those groups you named are far left lunatics, leadership if not all members.

  9. If only Tim Hudak was that smart!
We need Hudak out of OPC leadership and Randy Hillier restored. Hudak’s bowing to green crap makes McGuinty look like a neo-con.

  10. Have you noticed that a blow to clean energy advocates is often a relief to taxpayers wallets.

  11. “you’re a bunch of wackjobs so let me set you straight.”
Jack Layton says this every time he opens his mouth. It got him 103 seats.
Tell me, how’s Vlaclave doing these days? Out of office yet? Fired?
I’d bet that the electorate would find a more honest and upfront politician a refreshing change, don’t you? Or do you like being lied to? It would be especially satisfying to have one get up the gumption to spell out the financial implications and who would especially benefit from all the AGW hype out there. If it wasn’t you, then you’d be quite steamed about that, eh?
Sorta put it into a Cole’s Note format that people could relate to and therby form an opinion, instead of the “we know what’s good for you and thereby we rule over you” dogma.
Tell me, how many Canadians that you know don’t get steamed when somone else is getting past the Joneses via some scam and they aren’t. It’s very Canajian to bitch about the fraudsters they meet in their lives, corporate or political. It’s all splashed across the MSM front pages, right?
You could ask Jack! about that, too. Either that or you know “jack”.

  12. “disappearing rain forests, ”
gee cal, have you seen any satellite photos of the, er, not sure what to call it now. in the last century it was called the Amazon.
you’re the whackjob on that one.

  13. The greatest SCAM of our time, this will be the template for stupidity for decades to come, this globall warming SCAM. One volcano spews more than man could ever spew, stupi econuts.

  14. bartinsky and cal, exactly.
At least it is another small start in rolling back the fraud that has been foisted on society.

  15. Y2Kyoto: We’re Winning”
Not even close. Until the Globull,FruitFly,teachers, etc. are in jail,we haven’t even scratched the surface. You are WAAAAAYYY out in left field on this one,Kate.

  16. Justthinkin, it isn’t happening fast enough for me either but each event like this is a win.

  17. As soon as the fire ban is lifted in Alberta, I’m going to enthusiastically feed my plants…..with fresh CO2.
I love my plants, you know.

  18. The rainforests are disappearing because people are cutting down the trees and burning them, not because of ‘climate change’.

  19. It takes the State of NJ to spot the gangster role in AGW scientific corruption scam…
I think NJ thought they would get Fed money to replace the Shore Beaches washed away with every Storm..It’s a local/State bitching issue… but realized that all the Money was going to GORE & Soros..
Ping: Did you know that Saskatchewan was once a massive rain forest? Some are still searching for the Equator that existed during that time, where do you think it went?

  20. ping, you dorc,a hundred years ago western Canada was a vast area of grass.Ontario was a province of wood cutters and trappers.Leave South AMerica alone and stop the encroachment of development in the Niagra valley and lead the charge to return the Golden Hoseshoe to its pre development state so Ontario can return to be a province of wood cutters and trappers just like what you and others wish for “the rain forests of South America”

  21. In the video by Governor Christie he made a good point that should be used by all conservatives. “It is better to do things the right way than it is to do things the politically correct way!

  22. Harper is beginning to stand alone among conservative leaders on the planet who have not been swept up in the AWG nonsense.
David Cameron (UK) and Tony Abbot (Australia) have bought into it hook line and sinker.
    Harper is a dying breed.

  23. Al ( give me more money for nothing ) must be making a good imitation of raging Bull by now.

  24. Spike, you’ve been asleep for a bit. A hundred years ago the Canadian West was substantially settled and intensively farmed, and ready to plant its all-time biggest wheat crop. I’m given to understand that they were a bit past the woodcutting stage in Ontario, too.
No argument with your basic point, though.

  25. Vlad, the Magnificent Bastard, refused to implement the radical smoking bans of other ‘enlightened’ nations. The public service industry in the Czech Republic is booming and there are fewer bedbugs (most people do not know that the bloody little beasties hate tobacco and booze).
The joke is on the intolerant nations intent on making life for the average citizen a short miserable affair. Citizens who throw up their hands and allow all their decisions to be made for them by a few human hating elitists.
PMSH is not a tobacco banner or a glob bull warmer/ climate hopie changie follower but he is the Prime Minister of a lot of citizens who are; he has to represent the goofs as well as the rational. Vlad, the Magnificent Bastard, represents a nation of people who have not forgotten life under Communism, a nation of people who revolted against USSR and had tanks roll in to kill them. Canada has citizens who can’t even fire a sling shot in their own self defense. Vlad has a much bigger and better quality freedom lovers to work with, IMO.

  26. Up till now I’ve been very impressed by Christie. Now I’m a bit disappointed. Does he really believe the AGW BS? He appears to. That’s a major turn off.
Damn! I thought we had a hero.
