The pendulum reached in leftward apogee about two years ago. It’s now picking up speed as it hurtles towards the right. There’s many on the left and in the media who had better learn to duck…real quick

Mr. Krauthammer is dead on the bubble. The lib media will be going hammer and tongs for Obama this year and next, and unlike previous years they aren’t even going to try to appear fair. All tingles up Chris Mathews’ leg, all the time. They are going to go for it like its their last hurrah.
That’s because it IS their last hurrah. 2008 was the last election where Global Warming was a point of debate, 2012 is going to be the last election where the MSM have any pull in the matter.
And, Barry will -lose-. He will lose harshly. Massively. They will run him out of town on a rail. The DemocRat’s and media’s only hope in Hell is to get a new candidate for President. If they do that, and if they repudiate the Reid/Pelosi/Clinton troika, maybe they will not be decimated at the polls. Only soundly beaten.

Most businesses hope to capture 3 or 4% and they would become wealthy. Imagine running a business and ignoring 50% of your potential market? Especially a market that is being ignored?

I have followed Charles Krauthammer for some time. He is brilliant for the most part but as in Kate’s earlier post IMO he is viewing the world from a “gated community”. Just recently he characterised Herman Cain’s run basically a comedic side show. I think he has some brilliant insights but does not have skin in the game.

It should be remembered that Charles Krauthammer was a speechwriter for Walter Mondale’s failed 1980 VP campaigne, -Jimmy Carter’s VP.
His credentials as a conservative and as someone who can pick winners are to be taken with a grain of salt.
I think Herman Cain would make a good U.S. President, but Cain should really brush up fast on foreign policy. (I prefer Sarah Palin)
Maybe -Palin/Cain 2012- it nicely trips off the tongue.

40% of Americans did not vote in the 2008 presidential election. Of the remaining 60% of the population that did vote it resulted in the election of Obama with 52% of the popular vote to Mccains 46%. Obama and the MSM are fooling less people than you think.

I’m a bit concerned by the number of times that I’m hearing conservative voices of varying stature hammering on the point that the media are in the bag for Obama/lefties/the elite. I think that that point is valid, but I’m worried that it sounds sufficiently like whining that it’s going to alienate a substantial portion of the voting populace.
Ronald Reagan, a hero to virtually all conservatives and to enough Americans in general that the lefties now compare contemporary conservatives to him (to the detriment of contemporary conservatives, of course), didn’t talk about how the media were in the bag. He knew it, he accepted it, and he modified his behavior to win more votes. Today’s conservatives need to do that, too.
Lying …. and/or stupid …. denial is just a BS excuse for one or both of the above.

Thanks larben. 🙂 I just think this is the Last Big Bash for the buggy whip makers we call the MSM. By 2014 I think most of them will be pretty much irrelevant on the political scene because they won’t have an audience. The ones that are still in business, at least.
Mr Krauthammer is a huge thinker. I would really like to see Fox setup a show with him and Clarice Feldman similar to the old “Firing Line”.
Also I don’t know if our friends in Canada get Fox Business Channel, but that programming is spectacular.

One of the significant drivers for the election of President Obama is the desire of setting aside the American Cultural Imperative, “we are not really a ra*ist society”. The setting aside of the A.C.I. will not be complete until there has been two terms.
Once this is cycled through the Independents will be comfortable and recognize what is really the normal attitude of Middle America. Each person is good guy to have a beer with, but will spend their time with their own people.

Off topic a bit … The Audoter General believes in Global Warming/Climate Change and criticizes the Cons for NOT spending billions on that “problem.” I’m glad she is retiring with an attitude like that.

It doesn’t matter much whether he’s the best guy for the job, he’s conservative and he’s black. He takes race out of the equation. Voters will be forced to choose, based on their political beliefs.
