So Obama’s image is being burned by enraged Muslims? What’s so “objectionable” about that? That it shows that Obama’s attempts at appeasing the Muslim Street were useless? That that makes Obama seem less heroic? That the photos reveal the Muslim Street to be rabid, violent, extremists?
All of this is true. So, I wonder who’s saying it’s objectionable? People have a very low tolerance level for truth these days: Give me news and accompanying photos that fit my views of the world or else I’ll use the “o” words: objectionable and offensive.
I don’t seem to remember a “content warning” when Bush’s picture was being burned, hung with Nazi signs over his face by our friends in San Fransisco. Maybe I wasn’t paying attention!
