I actually like Muslims.
Not the radical Ialamists, of course, but your average Muslim.
The certainly are not behind the push of social liberalism(SSM, abortion, etc) in this country, or the West.
I admire they do not surrender their belief/faith to trendy ‘political correctness’.
Our Churches, politicians, educational, legal system do abandon their supposed core beliefs.
In the clash of cultures it is not too difficult to predict who will win, at this point.
Dear Readers:
Louise and other readers:
I reposted the link.
I took it down because people were calling me racist and I became nervous and fearful.
Kate, thank you kindly for your incredible support. I am humbled by your readers logical responses.
Sorry for taking it down and I will continue to think through issues.

If your view was prevalent, I’d agree. I’m not a fan of many elements in our society, pc or otherwise, but I prefer our free and flawed model over a fascistic, mind numbing political/religious personal prison that governs all aspects of human behaviour. Perhaps your misguided admiration has blinded you to some obvious truth.

Dhimmies are not rewarded, you have to become a Muslim for that. You sound like you will do alright either way.
“Moderate Muslims”, expressing any satisfaction, relief on the death of Bin Laden? All I hear from that quarter are the sounds of crickets chirping…
Those moderate Conservatives!
Kate needs help …
Where are these moderates? The yolk of fear is gone. Rejoice! Dance in the streets!
The last Facebook post was so funny.
Another from the Dennis Miller show: “I hear that TLC (The Learning Channel) is going to be giving Navy Seals Team Six their own reality show. It’s going to be called ‘Extreme Home Takeover’!

Yup, Allied armies just loved the Wehrmacht out of occupied Europe last century.
A group in Murfreesboro, Tennessee spoke out. Other than that, as mentioned by Dave in Pa — chirp, chirp.

You should read some of the coran and find out how hateful deceitful and violent the really are.
Islam is NOT a religion but a political entity.
How many religions do you know that give outsiders the choice of convert or die?
I don’t trust any of them, and if your smart neither will you.
I’ve lived and worked in Muslim countries, and I have to agree with Observer that most Muslims I’ve met are pleasant, decent folk. Moreover, notwithstanding the political slant of the Koran, they tend to be apolitical, except for the “scholarly” elite and senior army officers, most of whom are arrogant and bigoted.
I don’t know about Pakistan however. I’ve never been there but, the impression I get from the TeeVee is that almost everyone in the country is batshit crazy.
I didn’t add to the list, but I did recommend a book to a poster who’s of the opinion that the majority are peaceful and will see the light. Hopefully “Infidel” will be as informative for her/him as it was for me.
