Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
“We’ve had a very exhaustive interview” oh wait is that my blackberry vibrating….got to go now.
The woman’s instinctive response was to deny it but actions speak wayyyy louder than words!
P.S. Anyone who thinks that this fellow is a fan of the GOP would be incorrect. He was a vocal opponent of Bush & Co. too.
No wonder their ratings are in the toilet. “…supporting Islamic democratacy…” – silly hairdo bimbo couldn’t find north Africa on a map of Africa.
Those two women are the epitome of attitude and stupidness that IS the MSM. Nice “arms folded” defensive posture and then cut off the interview…. I guess when you just “carry water” professionalism isn’t important.
“democracy”, eh.
Just watched it a second time. I think there may be another factor at work besides these two “journalists” being ideologues in their own bubble chamber. They’re clearly more attractive than the average person and I wonder if they’ve ever been challenged in their lives? Put it another way, they’re the “cool girls” who no one ever dared pick on. I gotta wonder if this plays into the psychology of their schtick now that they’re all grown up?!
Altaguy – my reaction exactly – the body language and reactions from both are quite telling. He will never get another guest shot gig; he’s done
Wow, he’s not getting invited back 🙂 Good for him for telling them they are full of crap too.
First time I’ve watched CNN in months. They seem to be going downhill, fast.
Just a caution about this guy … everything he says in this interview is IMO quite accurate, and this is just the second half of a six-minute interview that is worth listening to. Here’s a link to the entire interview, on the blog of CNN American Morning:
Scheuer: Libya was none of our business
What I’d caution you about is, that while this guy has good knowledge of the area and says what he thinks, he becomes unhinged on the subject of Israel, which he considers to be the cause of most of the problems in the area. IMO this is unreasonable, since countries like Algeria and Yemen have no connection whatever to Israel and yet are some of the most horribly messed up territories on Earth.
Except for this: That oil in Libya is under OPEC and the US get’s most of it’s oil from Canada, then the US – then from other countries. The mid east usually sends what it has for oil torwards Asia and other countries. US still obtains some oil from the middle east, but not a major part of it.
In case this guy didn’t know it, Libya ask the US and other countries to help out a little – but didn’t ask for that help until they were really sure they needed it. If you see what these people ask for personally – via other sources, you would realize that is true. Are there “some” of those who used to fight for Al Q? Probably – but in this case – it isn’t the majority.
Those two “professional journalists” are almost as unbiased as Tabor and Laflamme, here in the great white north.
The bimbo on the left at about the 2:08 mark says “that’s a whole nuther story”. Apparently a fundamental grasp of the English language isn’t a requirement for this job.
Oxymoron of the century “Islamic democracy”.
I am sure that after the goats have settled down they are all sitting around the evening fire discussing the finer points of Aristotle’s philosophies.
They have two systems in the Muslim world Wealthy oil sheik tyranny and Islamic jihad tyranny. Take your pick.
We need to leave them alone, but keep them away from our world.
Tough to compete with Ailes, and it shows on the Clinton News Network. Ailes and Foxes ability to pick smart good looking women anchors is so far ahead of these shills. We have many of these here in Canada, remember the lectures we have all taken on the evening news for years on the dangers of globall warming, from some furrowed brow Brienne or Laflamme? You’ve worn that horse out girls, Lieberalism is so fiscally over.
Lisa La Phlegm uses a gardener to do her hair. or at least it looks that way.
Canada is the largest exporter of energy to the U.S. about 20%. Libyan energy goes a) via pipeline into Italy, and b) tanker to England and France, strangely, Total (French) and B.P. (U.K.) are the biggest oil majors in Libya (a coincidence, I am sure).
Obamba’s uptown Bitches.
Love it. Saw the money portion of the clip earlier this week, but until today hadn’t seen the two minute lead in. But, my oh my, the body language from the gal on the left was dripping with hostility, straightened spine, and crossed arms. This, before abruptly shutting down the interview.
“”Oxymoron of the century “Islamic democracy”.””
yup!!!
and the oil situation is such that any disruption anywhere will effect prices everywhere, the oil over lords will make sure that is so, and if they don’t, the politicians will prob them into making sure it is so
there is nothing like market forces moulding the politicians agenda for them
They went from an interview on American foreign policy to a debate. kind off sad the state of journalism these days.
This is the Euros fight not ours. Why Harper put our forces at risk there is beyond me. Let the Italians and French deal with something for a change. If risk of civilian death s the standard for intervention then lookout. THe whole of Africa can make a case for Nato intervening.
Is it just me, or did the girl in the yellow shirt, talking with her skinny arms waving, look like a muppet to anyone?
CNN is sooo bad these days and I don’t mean in terms of liberal bias I just mean quality. During the Japanese EQ/Tsunami/Nuclear coverage you really got to see how bad it truly is. The people that have on air are some of the worst journalists I’ve seen.
I agree, Dr. Bob, and you’ve nailed something there.
With the sleeveless yellow fluffy top, that chick is anything but professional in her look. Rather, she’s trying to use sex to broaden her image, i.e. intellectual and sexy, but it comes across as “Muppet”.
This is a slightly delicate subject, but, look, I have no problem with pretty women on TV. I’d rather look at pretty women than ugly ones, and I’m a girl. Those women in the clip are both very pretty; they are also both apparently morons, and babbling shills. (Wolf Blitzer is a non-pretty shill, so that makes him worse.)
Moronic women who were promoted for no reason other than their looks and are apparently so stupid that they don’t even know that… a sad thing.
Who watches CNN? Who? Why? When? Where? Why!? There are easy ways to watch pretty women that are much less annoying than CNN. Everyone knows this. Ratings in the toilet, you say?
(If I didn’t figure better I’d swear the “muppet” was Eva Longoria. Just give up, already, CNN.)

I am hoping Harper put our people there out of loyalty to NATO. I am also hoping that he is realizing that this might be something he wants to cut off as soon as reasonably possible.
i liked those girls better in the ‘Girls Gone Wild’ videos, just sayin’

What Japan coverage? Did something happen in Japan?

“i liked those girls better in the ‘Girls Gone Wild’ videos….”
Actually these are a couple of ‘Girls Gone Wild’ all grown up, and getting paid for a new schtick.
Truth, I don’t know if that guy is right or wrong. I’m sure Islamists are making the most of it, but worrying about what a bunch of fundy hillbillies think isn’t smart.
Watching those two girlies get schooled was -awesome-. If that happened every newscast, I’d start watching CNN again. Put some mindless, plastic faced Lefty twit up there and just let her get toasted by the guest.
‘More of these bimbos coming down the tube, folks. 🙁
Our schools are full of emboldened, brazen, loudmouthed females with nothing to say, who wave their arms around in order to compensate for their lack of verbal fluency — not to mention their intellectual deficit.
