In other words, people should be placed in parks within ecosystems instead of parks placed in human communities. We need vast areas of the planet where humans do not live at all and where other species are free to evolve without human interference.We need to radically and intelligently reduce human populations to fewer than one billion. We need to eliminate nationalism and tribalism and become Earthlings. And as Earthlings, we need to recognize that all the other species that live on this planet are also fellow citizens and also Earthlings. This is a planet of incredible diversity of life-forms; it is not a planet of one species as many of us believe.

“Canada announces green energy funds”
“OTTAWA – The federal government announced Sunday it will spend up to $63.8 million for 16 clean and renewable energy projects across the country that it says will help reduce the country’s greenhouse gas emissions.
Minister of Natural Resources Christian Paradis made the announcement during a visit to a company which produces ethanol fuel, just east of Montreal.
He said that the government will pay particular attention to funding projects in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia.
Among the 16 projects, Paradis said that over the next 10 years, $9.2 million will go to the ecoENERGY for Renewable Power program for the Digby Neck Wind Farm in Nova Scotia.
The project consists of installing 20 windmills capable of producing up to 30 megawatts of electricity. The wind farm will produce about 99 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to supply 10,000 homes.
The government will also spend up to $2.79 million for a wind storage demonstration project on the territory of the Cowessess First Nations, near Regina.”

I don’t agree with her theory regarding UNESCO Biosphere Protected Areas being grabbed to cover our debts, but there’s always a possibility it’s an attempt to gain control of fresh water supplies – who knows what they have up their sleeves.
The agenda is well under way here in Saskatchewan via the Planning and Development Act 2007. The “greens” are using the act to counter the government’s stated goal of growth. Towns and RM’s are getting sucked in to the process…unwittingly voting for their own destruction.

More nonsense from the “I live in a high rise apartment building and everyone else should too” crowd.
Except to continue to provide urbanites with the raw materials and food they need to survive in an apartment building, they need farmers, ranchers, miners, oil and gas well workers, etc. to live and work outside of big cities. Then those workers need policemen, teachers, doctors, convenience store workers, plumbers, mechanics, etc. to support them. Once we get everybody situated to actually sustain life, we are right back to what we have today – some people living in metropolises and some people living in smaller communities.
And to think that every time I feel we have reached the height of stupidity, I am pleasantly surprised by another green initiative. Where oh where do we keep finding these people that proudly trumpet their insanity ?

I just checked it out. This is the organization that Mayor Miller signed Toronto on to, and why he was paying for some office in London, England. All those in the GTA – Toronto, York Region and Durham have all signed up with ICLEI. Time to ask your local councillor why? And who authorized them to do this signing.

It is well established that europe during the ice-age was occupied by both Neanderthal and Cro-Magnon. They didn’t show up in the early holocene….they were already present. The cave paintings of Lascause(sp) are their artifacts which support this.
Ice-age Mega-Fauna declined and disappeared in the early holocene without any possible impact from the insignifigant human hunters present. Those Clovis culture folk were efficient hunters but simply lacked the numbers to exterminate a populatyion not already decimated by natural climate change.
It has now been concluded that the vast Bison herds of the North American plains were already doomed without the impact of hide hunters.
