In other words, people should be placed in parks within ecosystems instead of parks placed in human communities. We need vast areas of the planet where humans do not live at all and where other species are free to evolve without human interference. We need to radically and intelligently reduce human populations to fewer than one billion. We need to eliminate nationalism and tribalism and become Earthlings. And as Earthlings, we need to recognize that all the other species that live on this planet are also fellow citizens and also Earthlings. This is a planet of incredible diversity of life-forms; it is not a planet of one species as many of us believe.

“people should be placed in parks within ecosystems instead of parks placed in human communities”
Oh, you mean concentration camps? And by “people” you mean the ones who survive the war that comes when you seize all private property and kill anybody that doesn’t go along, right?
“We need to radically and intelligently reduce human populations to fewer than one billion.”
Planning on winning that war then.
“And as Earthlings, we need to recognize that all the other species that live on this planet are also fellow citizens and also Earthlings.”
Ok, so rats count equal to Grandma and Little Billy? Them camps is going to be pretty fun places.
Looks like somebody at Woodstock didn’t heed the message to avoid the brown acid.
This would be OK if animals had money and could PAY to watch us, but they don’t, and no amount of: “… where other species are free to evolve without human interference..” is going to change that.
These people are blind, deaf and dumb. Wildlife – especially Apex predators – are flourishing all over N. America. More are needed to cull the blossoming ‘ungulate’ populations.
Well — they can dream.
MM
Start at Genesis, Chapter 1 verse 26 and continue to read for just a few moments. Should clear up some misconceptions.
More top-down, centralized control of humans and resources by a bunch of misanthrops and Utopian nit-wits. As doomed to failure as all past Utopian dreams and as the current “environmental” movement, which has morphed into a political/religious doctrine utterly disconnected from the environment it purports to serve.
Do we need to preserve the environment and maintain biodiversity (read: healthy ecologies)? Absolutely.
Will a world “free to evolve without human interference” ever achieve that? Never. As if we could maintain human populations and human political systems – let alone nature itself – within the confines of carefuly drawn-up CAD diagrams. Change IS Nature, and change is the antithesis of control.
We need a new generation of scientifically literate and civic-minded conservationists who can balance the needs of the populace with the requirements of the eco-systems in which they live. And ones who recognize that humans are part of the natural system, not an extraneous event.
The current crop of Green medievalists and Luddites preying on the populaces fears and superstitions are the biggest impediments to that approach.
“This is a planet of incredible diversity of life-forms; it is not a planet of one species as many of us believe.”
I have never met anyone who hadn’t seen or heard of farm animals, pets, birds and sub humans like the one’s who wrote that scenario. It’s just that most of us place some value on humanity.
Personally I don’t place much value on a lot of what passes for humanity, such as those bearded and/or bagged carbon units found throughout the middle east, but I believe we have just as much right to some land, water and air as the animals and their closes relatives, the Liberals.
Written by Paul Watson, another rent seeker and communist.
If he wants to reduce population, why doesn’t he start with himself?
This agenda emerged about twenty years ago and has never disappeared. I can guarantee that it’s now taught as an article of faith in much of what passes for biological sciences and related courses at our fine institutions of higher learning. The Canadian version of that map pretty much wipes out all human activities in BC and the boreal forest (oh gee, there goes the oil sands!). Every land use plan since Clayoquot Sound has incorporated the biodiversity mantra, which for the “unenlightened” means essentially, preserving every representative ecosystem proportionately by every which way you can arbitrarily classify them (slope, aspect, climate, micro climate, species types, age of species, moisture, etc). These would be considered reserves where no human can venture and would be buffered with de facto reserves with pretty much the same outcome. These reserves must then be all connected for migration of larger species and the next thing you know there is no land left for humans.
Public land is the easier sell and if you look at the US situation it’s 80% accomplished. Fortunately for Americans, 60% of their land is privately owned. Not so in Canada and the American green foundations pouring money into campaigns to do so there is unrelenting. It won’t happen overnight, just incrementally and assuredly.
The majority of people will tire of all this and most likely, based on human history, slaughter all those involved.
So many specious arguments, so little time. This is the summary in an email I just ripped off to my dad, because we had a discussion about enviro-whackos on a visit last year to S’toon:
“It’s just BS after BS after BS. And there’s one glaring problem with his theories, as there is with most theories involving humans: they involve humans. Does he honestly think that with the trappings of a technological civilisation stripped away that all our problems will magically disappear? That people will magically stop trying to take from or kill others? Britain conquered the world on sail power and discipline.
The idiots that spout these lines have never had to walk the walk. They’ve never had to catch or kill their own food. They’ve never lived in nature, at least not without a lot of external support. They’ve never tried to live in cold climates. And they’ve probably never been poor or lived a hand-to-mouth existence. And I’m willing to bet that whatever changes they’d want to impose on the peons, they’d never adopt themselves (some pigs are more equal than others).
This is why we must fight tooth-and-nail these environmental whack-jobs. The literally want to kill us all.”
My 13-year-old niece is in an eco-program at her school. I worry about the crap they’re force-feeding her and her friends. I’ve no doubt it’s indoctrination, but her parents have already at least partially drunk the kool-aid, so I don’t know what I can do.
Accordingly Amoeba = Homo Sapiens. I am humbled.
That is the most disturbing news I’ve read in years.
Noting how the trend nowadays is the coining or invention of new words, I suggest humanphobia and humanphobic for these people. Of course the problem is that they never include themselves when preaching controlling or even eliminating human population, since they believe they are the elites and the rest of us like slaves to be disposed of as they see fit. History tells us that in the past there have been others believing they were the super race and how they viewed and treated those considered sub humans.
E-Street Communications is donating the web hosting for the site. Those of you who deal with E-Street may want to take note of that, and perhaps even call to their attention that you don’t like it.
Arrest all the Greenies, put in a Green Museum.
Charge the real people a dollar & a half just to see ’em.
Don’t they always smell so rank,
Like hippies oozing from a septic tank.
They hate humanity,
And really just want to kill you & me.
apparently I was the spitting image of Paul Watson back in the day…
Bite me – they should lead by example and off themselves.
Alain: there’s no need to invent new words. It’s called being misanthropic, literally “hatred or contempt of humankind”.
Last time I chatted with the “I am”….he emphasized that he had granted mankind dominion over the earth and it’s creatures….We didn’t discuss CAGW……..
The heartening thing is these freaks don’t believe in firearms(officially) but remember they do have a tendency to get violent.
We should read and heed Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
I submit fatty Gore and Susuki fruitfly should be in the first group of believers that off themselves to save the planet. Come on Al and David time to show some leadership on this file.

Not in their version of things Howie. It runs more along these lines,
Amoeba > Homo Sapiens
Another Calgary Marc, indeed you are correct, but I could not resist poking a bit of fun at all the newspeak.
Alain: Well, in that case carry on. 🙂
The Agenda 21ers are delusional. Most countries cannot protect their external borders, how do they imagine they’ll prevent unauthorized movement within a thousand artificial wildland borders?
The Labour government in the UK tried the regulate out rural development. What happened? Travellers and gypsies ignore regulations and building codes. They just move into green spaces and rely on political correctness to protect them (and it does). Meanwhile, angry locals see what a farce these laws are and begin to exert pressure on politicians. Once the charade is exposed, it is difficult to maintain the ridiculous laws. Ontario is also having trouble imposing its will on its rural population.
Taking away private property and micro-regulating landowners out of business would not be easy. I have a friend who is a legal secretary. The most worrisome threats against lawyers did not come from divorce and custody cases but from farm foreclosures. Rural people have a tendency to be stubborn and ornery. These characteristics make them less compliant to the whims of government. Even China, the Greens ideal country, has problems controlling its powerless, unarmed rural peasants.
The A-21 and AGW cults may succeed in manipulating (buying off) politicians to get oppressive land use laws but it would be a Pyrrhic victory. Government induced high energy prices, the resulting economic depression and social unrest would put an end to the “sustainable development” (aka global socialism) stupidity for generations.
Hmmmmmmm. Decrease the human footprint to a minimal landmass and restrict growth. Sounds like a roundabout way to get the ‘depopulation’ agenda off to a good start.
Can’t say that it will do much to stop competition within these ‘zones’ though…..
Hmmmm .. Defund the UN and send the parasites packing.
Last I looked, evolution requires the survival of the fittest (implying some death for the less fit). “Saving” the wildlife (world) from humans is an act against nature. Turning the world into micromanaged habitats is certain to end poorly. The world would be a better place without entropy, and without those who want to tell everyone else how to live.
What grok said @ 1:48.
So this is where Dianne Frances of the National Post gets the crap she spouts about a world’s population of 1 billion.
The implementation of this would require concentration camps and gas chambers.
Tom Clancy had it right in “Rainbow Six”, time for a re-read.
‘We need to radically and intelligently reduce human populations to fewer than one billion. We need to eliminate nationalism and tribalism and become Earthlings.’
I suspect that trying to achieve the first goal through social engineering will do nothing but make the second utterly impossible. What culture on the planet will meekly accept ‘radical’ population reduction at the hands of any other, and not see some hidden agenda behind their loss? Other than post-modern Western Liberalism, I mean?
Are there no grown-ups left?
Sounds like the eco-equivalent of the Soviet Gulags … a clear indication that the communists permeated the eco movement.
Well I got to admit Alex Jones sure was able to get the word out on united nations plan for world domination.
Too bad it took this long for the information to reach the masses. This united nations/agenda 21 stuff has virulently opposed by both independents and libertarians for least five years now.

“Maurice Strong, who led the Rio conference, seems to agree. His ranch in Colorado is a gathering place for Buddhist, Bahai, Native American, and other earth-centered religions. Yet, while spearheading the restructuring of the United Nations (see ” World Heritage Protection?”), he also helped design the blueprint for the transformation of our communities. And in his introduction to The Local Agenda 21 Planning Guide, he called local leaders around the world to “undertake a consultative process with their populations and achieve a consensus on ‘Local Agenda 21’ for their communities.”
Achieving that consensus meant painting scary scenarios of a hurting, dying planet that frighten children, anger youth, and persuade adults to submit to the unthinkable regulations. (See “Saving the Earth”) It means blaming climate change on human activities and ignoring the natural factors that have – throughout time – brought cyclical changes in climate, storm patterns, wildlife migration, and ozone thinning (there has never been a “hole”).”

Indian reservations and at the same time, the end of tribalism? That’s doublethink at its finest.
“We need to radically and intelligently reduce human populations to fewer than one billion.”
Ponder that the next time you’re considering lining up for the “flu shot” to save you from the Global Pandemic.
Re: Diane Francis and the other population control intellectuals
I read D.F.’s article in the NP about population control. At first, I was absolutely disgusted with her. Now, I wonder if she (and other population control advocates) really comprehend the reality of what they are saying. It is one thing to perform a thought experiment about population reduction or wish for people to have fewer children. Only a monster would actually support the use of government force to either prevent human life or destroy human life. I’d like to think that the majority of the D.F.’s are not sociopaths, just useful idiots that would reject the real world policies needed to reach a sustainable population goal of 1 billion.
They hate homo sapiens, so how about “homophobic”? I mean, given how uncritically that word is thrown around these days, we might as well get a piece of the action.
There’s nothing like genetically modifying tons of frankenfoods to artificially prop up the global population. Then feeding the third world into exponential growth beyond their own sustainable levels and either importing their cheap labor or sweat shop produced goods.
The good news for many, is that China, India, Mexico etcetera, will definitely not go for the ecological thingy when they occupy the US en masse. Me thinks you can kiss all those Indian reserves goodbye at least in the special status “recipient” form they exist today. More like barren gulags for anyone not towing the party line, or possibly La Raza’s white people dumping grounds.
Paul Watson is certifiably insane. Behind all the feel-good terminology about saving the species is the fact that Watson advocates the “removal” of 5 billion people. Past dictators were small time compared to Watson.
If the Sea Shepherd Society,or any other Maurice Strong inspired organization starts to recruit scientists whose specialty is weapons grade viruses, prepare for the worst.
Unlike the relatively sane Kim Jong Il,who only threatens, they’ll use weapons of mass destruction,on us.
Of course this is typical leftist doublethink. On the one hand. they are for a smaller human population. This is already happening in North America and Europe. Without mass third world immigration our population would be cut in half within a few generations. But of course they are also for mass third world immigration. The question then becomes are they really that stupid, or do they have some other agenda that we haven’t figured out yet?
“Sea transportation should be by sail. The big clippers were the finest ships ever built and sufficient to our needs.”
It’s funny that there are no clippers in the Sea Shepherd’s fleet, isn’t it?

However, I think I may have found some subject matter that Peter Guber, the great Golden State Warriors owner and producer of “The Kids Are Alright,” might want to get a budget behind.
Apparently, the United States already knows quite a lot about UFO technology. Apparently, there are secret “black ops” installations somewhere in–oh, I’m guessing Arizona–where new forms of energy have been created using technology that has been gleaned from those up there, rather than us down here.
Please, you know not to take my word for it. Hark the words of former Canadian defense minister Paul Hellyer. According to AOL News, Hellyer will be speaking this week at the International UFO Conference. (You will feel a chill to hear that this event is in Arizona too.)”

“…..or do they have some other agenda that we haven’t figured out yet?”
Who knows? It seems to be a combination of different agendas, and just plain stupidity.
One way or another, the mass immigration especially unskilled Third World and 180 degree cultural differences is undoubtedly a recipe for catastrophic disaster for the west.
How anyone could be so stupid as to not see this is beyond me. Every species of plant or animal has some sort of innate sense of self preservation. Therefore the agenda scenario only makes sense. So in agreement with you, now the question is who’s agenda and why?
Jeez Louise, is Paul Watson STILL here?
All I see is more flapping grill; We get it, you’ve made yourself perfectly clear – now get on with it, you loser hypocrite.

“ICLEI is an accredited NGO for the United Nations Commission for Sustainable Development and has a stated goal of achieving UNESCO’s Agenda 21 internationally.” – The Gaspee Gazette, 11 Jan 2011
Provincial and municipal governments across Canada have hopped on the ICLEI’s Agenda 21 bandwagon, under the guise of sustainable development – simply put, green parasites get the moolah, leaving the taxpayers to foot the bills.
Currently in Canada, selected schools (e.g., Lockeport Regional High School, N.S.); historical towns (e.g., Lunenburg, N.S.); and protected biosphere areas (e.g., SW Nova Biosphere) hide under UNESCO’s umbrella.
UNESCO designated schools are protected from closure – no matter how small the enrollment; and biosphere areas are no-go zones – illegal to berry pick, hunt, log, mine, etc. – under the auspices of the Dept. of Natural Resources.
Needless to say, development is the last thing on the U.N. poohbahs minds – stop the insanity before it’s too late folks.
