In an article in the WSJ titled “Palinoia, the Destroyer”, James Taranto notes that the “unhinged hatred of Palin comes mostly from women,” and quotes a 30-something New York Liberal named Jessica Faller. Excerpt:
“(Palin’s) sex appeal might not have been such an issue if her demeanor on the campaign trail had been more, well, conservative. But here is this comely woman, in a curvy red suit, giving ‘shout-outs’ during the debate with Joe Biden, giving controversial interviews without apology, basically driving in there, parking the car, and walking in like she owned the place.”
“I’m not saying it’s a bad thing. But she couldn’t have pulled it off if she were a gray mouse in a pantsuit, and because the devil in the red dress wasn’t orating like a professor, it roused an unquenchable forest fire of rage and loathing in the breasts of many women, perhaps of the toiling gray mouse variety, who projected onto her their own career resentments and personal frustrations.”
“I am amazed at how people still abhor her. I personally do not. I don’t feel she would be a good choice to run this country, but she does not deserve the horrific treatment she gets. I can tell you, being privy to the endless, incendiary rants this past week about her, coming from hordes of liberal women–age demo 25 to 45–they rip her to pieces, they blame her for everything, and the jealousy/resentment factor is so clear and primal. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Taranto:
“We’d say this goes beyond mere jealousy. For many liberal women, Palin threatens their sexual identity, which is bound up in their politics in a way that it is not for any other group (possibly excepting gays, though that is unrelated to today’s topic).”
The whole thing here.

What are the chances those work places you describe were unionized? That would definitely explain the ‘bullying’ you describe that I’ve yet to witness in the male dominated workforce and sports.JMexpirience.
Indiana Homez at 11:20, I think you’ll find that most male physical therapists and nurses get into these fields for the -money-, I know I did.
However your point regarding women in these fields is well taken. The girl on girl backstabbing has to be seen to be believed, to the point where patient care is compromised.
But they all close ranks when a MAN invades the hen coop, oh baby. Male nurses adopt female behavioral patterns to SURVIVE, they most definitely don’t do it to pick up chicks. (Dude, have you -seen- the women in our hospitals?)
When they hear the deep voice and watch the guy effortlessly do solo what it takes THREE of them to do, the women sharpen up their knives and start the dance of a thousand cuts. Guys who survive are either A) orthopedic surgeons making a million a year who have a great lawyer on speed dial or B) girlymen.
Because of this dynamic, most male PTs have their own practice and hire women to staff the place. Such situations are invariably happier than the all-girl workplace.
Oh, and guys are not going into medicine much any more, with the exception of surgery. Can’t survive the hospital environment, most of them.
Yes, it was a trade union but, knowing a few engineers, I heard that head office and management was pretty cut throat, too (but perhaps in a different way). Some engineers preferred to do field work to get away from office politics. Maybe in-your-face obnoxiousness is easier to cope with than the more insidious bullying of the white collar workers. Don’t get me wrong, though, most of the guys were fun to work with. It was the only job I had that you would often go home with your sides hurting from laughing so much.
BTW, my “entirely accurate” was my attempt to tell you are wrong in a nice way. I wouldn’t want all those conflict resolution and other charm school courses to go to waste.
correction: To tell you *you’re* wrong. Just to be clear…and accurate.
At least we have souls Jay, unlike the progressives who want to normalize abnormal behavior by calling said behavior “The Social Condition”. Face it liberals are not liberals they are progressive/regressive tards educated in fluffy subjects like “Peace Studies or some other useless Humanities degree”.
Cattiness, carbon and stupidity- common elements in the universe. Liberals feminists have all three.
I like cats.
Speaking of jealous hags, what is Nancy Pelosi up to?
I mean, besides booking a fitting for a new leash and feeding bowl.
I pity your pathetic, empty, sorry souls.

Good Grief jay, now we are pathetic and empty and have sorry souls ?
Pathetic is just another word to describe we ain’t worthy. Ok.
Empty means we really have nothing to offer Liberals. Alright.
To say someone has a sorry soul, now, that’s just plain mean.
If I saw a deer hit by a truck I would pull out my trusty .45 and pop a cap in his head to put him out of his misery (and into my pot.) Wouldn’t that be showing compassion ? And, would therefore negate a sorry soul ?
But , to say someone has a pathetic, empty, sorry soul that would seem better directed towards Liberala, eh ?

When I returned to school for upgrading, the three dudes I know that went into nursing told me specifically it was ‘for the girls'(and the money, obviously); so I’m speaking anecdotal, and generally.
From what I can gather about you, you’re not a fem-boy. That said, you did (if I recall) leave the woman dominated field for the reasons I didn’t get in. You’re a painter now right?
It is very difficult to have a conversation about “why women do…” or “why men do…” or “why blacks do…” without generalizing. What I do expect on this site (somewhat) is for people to understand and to resist labeling those that try and tackle such issues. I am the only male in a home of 4 people and two birds. I am the most ardent supporter of woman’s rights, but I refuse to have my ladies bullied by those that tell them how a woman should be. I hope that both of my daughters get married and have children. I hope they take time to raise them at home and appreciate the things that you can not experience working away from home. I also hope that they chase their professional dreams with vigor. And finally, I hope they find-out sooner than later what the important things in life are, so they do not end-up chasing that which most of us know isn’t that important at all.
I was a painter before I started PT in the States, and now back in Canada I’m a painter again. Getting the Ontario license by jumping through all the flaming hoops, just not worth it for the difference in money.
In other words, I’d sooner stand on a 20ft ladder scraping the eaves of somebody else’s house, in the rain, than work as a PT in an Ontario facility or even in my own clinic.
Did you know that the Ontario College of PT sends apparatchiks around to your -private- clinic (which you own, not the government) to “inspect” it and they go through your patient records and your books? And if they don’t like the cut of your jib they can put you out of business on the spot?
Hell yeah I’m a painter. Maybe after The Revolution I’ll take up PT again, if it comes before I’m 80. Or if I move back to AZ, things are considerably more sensible there.
Black Mamba, many people like cats but not many people like feminists and for good reason.
Yeah, cats are better looking. Even the fat ones.
Mr. Fluffy gets right b*tchy when people compare him to Naomi Wolf.
I just agree with Indiana Homez. Period.
