  4. I find this very disturbing. Is he drinking? Has he no mirrors in the house? Does he look in the mirror? Maybe this poor fella hates himself so much that he does not look in mirrors. does he wear matching socks? Is he wearing socks? Why, oh why did Americans elect this guy to the highest office in the land? My heart hurts for America, The Beautiful. Sarah Palin tried to tell Americans who this fella was (a small time thug from Chicago)..it is not like the people were not warned…they all wanted to be ‘in’ on something like idolizing a ‘golden boy’; President Bush and our own Prime Minister are too manly for media types and the toadies who cheer with the msm. IMO.

Revnant – I’d say that they were thinking subconsciously “our system is strong enough to withstand any minor differences, we’re well fed, well entertained, and aren’t worried about where our next 3 meals are coming from. Let’s take the chance on the guy who says he has new ideas. What’s the worst that could happen?” And so, because the memories of the great depression and the second “war to end all wars” are fading as the great generations fall under the scythe of time, the lessons must be taught anew to those who will now learn from history.

  26. This reminds me of a Mark Steyn article from way back, long before the last election. John McCain was being touted as a possible presidential candidate. Steyn recounted attending a speech of McCain’s and noticing that his shoulders were covered with dandruff. He and a female fellow journalist agreed that there was no way McCain’s handlers would have let him get in front of cameras in a state like that – unless the accounts of his vicious, bullying temper were true, in which case everyone from his make-up artist on might have been too scared to say a word.

  44. Every time I see this couple, I think “Dress up time!” except when they don’t dress up and look like the whatever-who-cares?-Chicago-community-organizer-gotcha-whiteys!-thugs they really are.

  45. Regarding the unemployment report, the AP reported: “The nation’s unemployment rate dropped to 9.4% last month, its lowest level in 19 months. That was because more people found jobs, but also because some people gave up on their job searches.” In total, 556,000 people found work. In total, 250,000 gave up looking for workd. So, did Obama thank all those folks ( the 250K ) for giving up on finding work at his press conference? 159,000 of the 556,000 who found work, got government jobs. Question is, what quality of jobs did the rest get? And, how much has taxable income risen?
    The sad fact is that out of 15.2 million unemployed in Dec 2009, 727k have found jobs as of Dec 2010. At that rate of job growth, it will take 9 YEARS to bring the unemployment rate down to 5% in the US. Unless, of course, more people do Obama the courtesy of giving up on finding work.
    Meanwhile, Obama has stripped Texas of its authority to issue air permits required for large power and industrial projects, meaning 167 currently scheduled projects can not go forward. The reason? Texas refused to roll over on EPA’s new CO2 regulations. Obama’s war on the US economy continues.
