Restoring Science To Its Rightful Place

Is there nothing that Obama can’t do?

The Interior Department’s inspector general says the White House edited a drilling safety report in a way that made it falsely appear that scientists and experts supported the idea of the administration’s six-month ban on new drilling.

Emphasis mine. But that’s all oil under the bridge… right?

Ensco Offshore claims that since the ban was lifted Oct. 12, the government has not issued a single permit that would allow the resumption of any previously suspended drilling activities.

  1. Killing a few thousand high paying jobs is a small price to pay for the EnviroNazi vote in the 08′ for both the primaries and the election.
Think of it as a sort of ‘stimulus’ or reverse Pork barrel spending.

  2. Who want’s to bet that when the moratorium is eventually lifted, and some of the jobs return, that someone might want some credit for creating jobs?

  3. Not to worry.
The anybody but Obama campaign has already started and polls show any generic Republican could beat Obama if an election was held today.

  4. As a Canadian I welcome the ban on drilling in the gulf, it does nothing but force Americans to send their (every shrinking) wealth up here to us.

Price of crude oil closes in on $90 a barrel

Oil prices rose to a two-year high, within striking distance of $90 a barrel after the US government reported declines in petroleum stockpiles and rising demand in the world’s largest oil consuming nation.
The US Department of Energy said that commercial crude stocks fell by 3.3m barrels last week, though they are still at the upper end of normal ranges for this time of year. Stocks of petrol declined by 1.9m barrels and stocks of distillate fell by 5m barrels.

Hide the decline, hide the decline.

  6. Obama yet again proves hes about as American as a Iranian Imam.
Looks to me like he’s going to double down on socialism, as he did Obamacare with his other obsessions.

  7. One way or the other, I don’t care what this group of scientists thought about the drilling ban. On this matter, I just want to hear the opinion of “Nobel Prize-winning physicist Dr Stephen Chu” ….sarc/off

  8. Is this because Obama’s friend and mentor, George Soros, is financially linked with Brazilian oil?
