  1. Man, I’m, like, getting so tired of these coverups by the Anti-AGW crowd!
Like, can’t you face the facts, man – the triceratops were extirpated by Jurrasic hunter/gatherers who set fire to jurrasic jungles which caused paleo-anthropogenic global warming.
I read it, excuse me for a sec (puff, puff) on the internet.
    Wow….

  2. I just have one question.
Are the Torosaurusi related to the Torontoelitus and does that mean they too will have to accept they are not a species apart?
Okay. Sick attempt. But all dinosaurs have common characteristics.

  3. This is almost as devastating as when the so-called “scientists” decided that Pluto was no longer a planet.

  4. There is nothing more aggravating than flipping through channels and coming across one of those pseudo science shows presenting paleontology as fact. How can it be “fact” we weren’t there to observe. But hey, like the title says – it’s settled science and everyone has come to a consensus! (PS lets not let those little kids lapping up the BS think for themselves.)

  5. Geez, and I thought all along it was a muscle in your torso.
Don’t these exercise machines help to develop your triceratops?

  6. Barney 1980: I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family
    Barney 2010: I hate you, you hate me, we’re a dysfunctional family…

  7. Science is never about settling, it’s always about rejecting preconceived notions in order to better understand our universe and history.

  8. Way to continue fundamentally misunderstanding the scientific process — a mistake on par with deeming any science to be “settled.”

  9. How ignorant (and/or intellectually dishonest) the couple of ‘Science!‘ worshippers show themselves to be.
How in the Hell can anyone rationally claim to “better understand our universe and history” when that “understanding” is never actually, you know, true?
Who in his right mind gives a rat’s ass about “the scientific process” when it cannot give us, you know, actual truth?

  10. Ilíon,
Would you prefer if humankind still thought the Earth was the center of the universe, and some higher power was responsible for all illness?

  11. See?
Science!‘ worshippers don’t have the first damned clue about actual science … which is this: science is utterly incapable of adjudicating truth.

  12. As an avid Torosaurus enthusiast, I am deeeply offended at the sudden change in name. I will be bringing this to the attention of the CHRC.

  13. Osumashi Kinyobe – Yes! As I child, I was always fond of the Triceratops.
In the books there were all these pictures of Triceratopses, munching leaves and doing their thing, rocking the late Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous Period… I feel sad.
I’m relatively indifferent to Pluto – it’s so far away…

  14. You guys know how this whole science thing works, right?
You come up with a theory, challenge it with available evidence, and see if it stands the test of time.
This is not a failure of science. It’s how it works.

  15. Kate: “John, I think you may have “SDA” confused with a thing they call the “IPCC”.”
You should have a closer read of some of your followers’ comments on this issue. For many here, each piece of “contradictory evidence” is equivalent to “conclusive proof that AGW is a sham.” They (and you?) seem interested in the scientific process only when it’s pulling the debate in your favour.

  16. Davenport, I admit I marvel at your capacity to miss the point. There’s a purity about you that only good manners prevents me from describing in further detail.

  17. Monty Python’s Ann Elk had this wrapped up neatly so many years ago, AHEM! dinosaurs are thin at the ends, but much, much thicker in the middle. Still 100% true to this day.

  18. will we have to rename Barney?????
