  1. I guess pretty soon, anything that may potenitally cause offense to someone somewhere else on the planet will become the excuse of the day to prevent others from speaking…lovely Canada, through PC we have now created our own self administered thought police..have a bad thought..??, by god, you better turn yourself in.!
    this stuff makes me puke.!

  2. I received two responses from Lori Da Silva this morning:
Thank you for your note. The London Convention Centre never had a contract to host this event and received no pressure from any groups at any time in regard to this event.

Then, awhile later, in response to my asking for clarification:
We didn’t have a contract to host this event so no actual contract to cancel. Contract terms were never even discussed. We require all organizations to complete background information and this form was never completed which is step 1 in our process. We never moved beyond the initial inquiry.

Obviously, a clarification is needed. It would behoove the LCC to clarify precisely why the decision was made to not allow Mark Steyn to speak at their venue.
There’s a disconnect here. They need to fully explain their decision.

Yes, liberalism is a crock. As Danny Kaye used to sing, “Never smile at a crocodile.”
