    Just returned from a motor trip to/from South Carolina. Did the same trip 2 years ago and saw nothing but Obama bumper stickers. This year,only a few and most of those on Priuses and beat-up Foresters with Vermont plates.

  10. It looks like there was one on the silver body of the trunk too as there’s a faint outline there just above where the bumper one was.

  11. Down here in Miami (FL, not MB) I see about two Obama stickers a day, usually on vehicles like a Lexus or Beemer SUV.

  12. We were in the US for two weeks, driving from Saskatchewan to Philadelphia via Michigan and saw a grand total of one pro-Obama bumper sticker.

  15. I’m going to be going to Phoenix in November. I’ll be keeping track.
    Last year in February the -only- bumper stickers were Obama/Biden or save the whales, all the gun/conservative/nuke Iran stickers were very conspicuous by their absence.

  18. And yesterday, in the urban area I inhabit, I happened to see, for the first time ever, an Obama bumper sticker. I was transfixed. I had a good look! I wanted to deface it or kick it but a more mature instinct took over and I said a prayer for these misguided souls!
    In the US recently, I bought a lot of fridge magnets: one was “NOPE, keep the change” and the other, with a really nice picture of a smiling Dubya, had the text, “‘Miss me yet?”. (I only give these politically astute souvenirs to connoisseurs who appreciate them. The outsiders get a bar of tasteful soap!)

  19. Unfortunately, San Diego, California had a lot of Obama stickers still on when I was there. There state is bankrupt, so I suppose they think the country should be too.
    When I visited Arkansas, one person secretly told me she voted for Obama, and never would again.

  20. In the lefty friendly Rockin’ Rudies in Missoula MT the Obama shirts etc. section was much diminished (and at sale reduced prices), and we don’t see the Bush hating magnets any more, finally.

  22. I’m hoping that these people aren’t just disappointed but angry. There is a saying I have always liked. “To really truly hate something you must have loved it once”. I hope that’s what these people who voted for Obama feel now. Not disappointment but teeth gnashing hate.

    Smooth talking amateurs who can “Pile it higher and deeper” while extolling the virtues of ‘government action’.
    The OBAMA-NATION’s(tm) tenure could not end fast enough…before the crew turn it into the “WEIMAR STATES OF AMERICA”
    or “WSA” which isn’t too far from the “USA”.
    Or is that harking back to “Dubya States of America”?

  25. I just came back from Las Vegas. There was no talk of Obama. If you mentioned him they acted like he didn’t exist. November should be interesting.

  28. I can only imagine the derision that the Obama girl lives with – whatever happened to her anyway? Did she change her name? Her appearance appeared to have already been enhanced – not much left she could do there – unless she decided to go drastic and turn he.

  34. I was driving through New Brunswick in August and I saw an “Obama-Biden 08” bumper sticker on a Subaru station wagon from Vermont. You should have seen the guy driving. Looked about 60 something years-old with a full-on Marxist beard. Sterotypes save time, yes?

    What did anyone expect from an affirmative action hero?
    You need the right people for the right jobs, regardless of their race. Obamba is an obvious fail, but is it really his fault for wanting to hang with the top hat boyz and have money to throw around?
    Americans need to reflect on what possessed them to allow a common street hustler/ commie community organizer into the countries top position, and say “NEVER again”!

  38. I saw a couple of Obama/Biden bumper stickers while on the Queen Charlotte Islands in British Columbia a couple of months ago. They were on vehicles of folks who’ve bought beach houses in the economically crippled town of Sandspit.
    I didn’t see them outside during any of our walks, so I didn’t get a chance to ask them how the hope and change was working for them, or if they were economic refugees escaping from Obama’s America.
