  1. Saw that one too eh? He even felt that the US could take a bigger hit than 9/11. Of course they could, but who gets to write the letters to the family members of the murdered Barry? Who ever you toss under the bus for said attack?

  2. “We can absorb a terrorist attack.”
The guy who has the best security detail in the free world says “we” but really means, “You American peasants.”
Sounds like after he’s done being POTUS he’ll be the next spokesman for Bounty paper towels.

  3. Cowards never want to win anything, they just want to share the love all around…while dancing around the baby unicorns.

  4. so now all of a sudden Bob Woodward is a hero to the right.
Afghanistan just lurched another 30 kilometers towards Vietnam.

  5. I think he means “You can absorb a terrorist attack.” Hopefully if there is an attack he will personally show his committment.

  6. so now all of a sudden Bob Woodward is a hero to the right.
    ~beagle
What color is the sky in your world, beagle?
I thought journalists were supposed to be impartial.
Doing his job doesn’t make him a hero, it just makes him a guy who does his job.
Nobody should want to shoot the messanger if the messanger isn’t lying.

  7. Who said anything about Woodward being our hero? We are just quoting what he said…Are lefties in love with Rush because you quote what he says?
    beagle, another “exhausted” supporter.
“We can absorb a terrorist attack…that should keep them occupied while we can ram through are marxist agenda even faster”

  8. Such a brave leader to be willing to sacrifice his people. But if the terrorist attack were on the White House where his family lives, would this change his analysis?

  9. I note the comment that explosion of a nuclear device in the US is viewed by Obama as a “potential game changer”.
He could probably drop the “potential” . . . .

  10. I’ve always felt that BO’s comments in 08′ that “Afghanistan is a war of necessity” would cause the new POTUS and his agenda problems and inadvertently force BO’s hand to make some common sense decisions(I’m speaking of the Afghan surge).
Although McCain was a weak opponent overall, from a foreign policy stand point he was/is a beast. His credibility on the issue is well known. THIS is the single positive factor I can take from the 08′ election: that McCain’s very presence forced BO’s foreign policy further to the right.
And HELL YEAH, I miss W.

  11. Best quote:
‘Petraeus, who felt shut out by the new administration, told an aide that he considered the president’s senior adviser David Axelrod to be “a complete spin doctor.”‘
During a flight in May, after a glass of wine, Petraeus told his own staffers that the administration was “[expletive] with the wrong guy.”
The ‘cancer is in Pakistan’s tribal areas’
Petraeus took Obama’s decision as a personal repudiation, Woodward writes. Petraeus continued to believe that a “protect-the-Afghan-people” counterinsurgency was the best plan. When the president tapped Petraeus this year to replace McChrystal as the head of U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan, Petraeus found himself in charge of making Obama’s more limited strategy a success.
Woodward quotes Petraeus as saying, “You have to recognize also that I don’t think you win this war. I think you keep fighting. It’s a little bit like Iraq, actually. . . . Yes, there has been enormous progress in Iraq. But there are still horrific attacks in Iraq, and you have to stay vigilant. You have to stay after it. This is the kind of fight we’re in for the rest of our lives and probably our kids’ lives.”
A little bitch slappin reality upside the head…
I would like the Obama-Nation(tm) to pick out the next 3000 people who could sustain termination because they could “absorb another terrorist attack”.
Wakey, wakey USA…the folks that want to mortally harm you, will without a doubt, be delighted to oblige you.
I gather Obama is hoping there will be no more terrorist, I mean ‘man caused disasters’ before he loses control of Congress and Senate…
It will be only one year since the Ft Hood shootings around election time…

  12. “We can absorb a terrorist attack.”
    “I Miss W.”
Therefore ” … Bob Woodward is a hero to the right.”
    Brilliant.

  13. “This needs to be a plan about how we’re going to hand it off and get out of Afghanistan… Everything we’re doing has to be focused on how we’re going to get to the point where we can reduce our footprint. It’s in our national security interest. There cannot be any wiggle room.”
    Stirring oratory indeed!
Churchill and Lincoln would be so jealous.

  14. Absorb a terrorist attack? What kind of tactless fool would even think that?
    Oh….
I’ve tangled horns with a dhimmi who really thinks Islamofascism is inconsequential. Intellectually, you know these people exist but you are still stunned by their immense stupidity.

  15. O’Jimmah … and beyond ….
Can ye all feel O’s pain?
    (H/T Swilly Ickyklinty)
    No mo’ TOTUS, says Mondale.
    …-
    “The Carter-Obama Comparisons Grow
[Democrat Loser] Walter Mondale himself sees a parallel.”
“Comparisons between the Obama White House and the failed presidency of Jimmy Carter are increasingly being made—and by Democrats.
Walter Mondale, Mr. Carter’s vice president, told The New Yorker this week that anxious and angry voters in the late 1970s “just turned against us—same as with Obama.” As the polls turned against his administration, Mr. Mondale recalled that Mr. Carter “began to lose confidence in his ability to move the public.” Democrats on Capitol Hill are now saying this is happening to Mr. Obama.
Mr. Mondale says it’s time for the president “to get rid of those teleprompters and connect” with voters. Another of Mr. Obama’s clear errors has been to turn over the drafting of key legislation to the Democratic Congress: “That doesn’t work even when you own Congress,” he said. “You have to ride ’em.”

  16. BO will be sitting in a bunker or on AF1 with his head up his a$$ while the rest of the U.S. population wonders when it will be time to bend over and kiss their a$$ goodbye.

  17. Woodward a hero to the right? This book wasn’t intended to make obozo look bad, it’s just that woodward didn’t realize how pathetic much of obozo’s world view is.

  18. I predict that in 2012, campaigning strategy will include the following threat: If you vote GOP, we’ll kieell you!

  19. I note the comment that explosion of a nuclear device in the US is viewed by Obama as a “potential game changer”.
Yeah I figure the devil agrees.

  20. He talks about Americans like they are parasites that can absorb the shock and awe of bombs, despicable man or what.

  21. For cry’s sake, Kate, as the finest thread title composer in the blogosphere (and the finest thread concept architect): Drop the I MISS W.
Er, not his fault, but 9/11 happened on Bush’s watch and the next day he ran to the mosque to proclaim Islam a “religion of peace”. He also supported the “good terrorist” Fatah and ignored Iran even when they were demonstrably killing US soldiers.
    That’s one book-end.
The other one is his proclamation suspending the rules of free markets in order to save the free market, which would be hilarious were it not so tragic.
If you must persist with this childish Sesame Street game of missing letters of the alphabet how about “I Miss R?”

  22. This book is ancient wisdom of the left Bob Woodward trying to make Barry look -good-, right? Holy smokin’ camel chips, Batman!
Either Woodward has lost his mojo, or Barry is even worse than we feared. Which given the comments here since 2008 is really saying something.

  23. “We can absorb a terrorist attack.”
He has failed at every level of his Presidency let alone even defending his Nation.
This is his icing, that instead of taking the fight to them, he will take the shocks (Not him but the populace). No doubt because of his great heart of tolerance. His love of Islam which he admitted he will always defend. His own people. Not so much.
    JMO

  24. You miss W?
Here ya go……”Islam is awesome and Muslims are real straight shooters!”
That should hold you for a week or so.

  25. Where’s the wonderful ET when you need her?
Obama is a pathological narcissist. To him a terrorist attack is nothing, because to him America is nothing, human beings are nothing, countries are nothing, ideals are nothing; he does not love or even like America; he is, as Revnant Dream called him, the “Anti-President”.
He will be out of office soon. The repercussions of his presidency are incalulable.

  26. “We can absorb a terrorist attack.” America’s new Sham Wow guy! The fella missed his true calling. Pity.

  27. Every time it look’s like Obama’s hit bottom, we discover there are still hidden cellars below.
I used to think Clinton could not be outdone in depravity; but compared to Obama, one could almost – for a second – mistake Clinton for a statesman.
No doubt in his statement he was referring to those who oppose him. During his campaign, he promised to give the country back to its ” rightful owners “.

  28. “We can absorb a terrorist attack.”
Does he mean the White House?
Sure, Barry. You, Michelle, Malia, Sacha, and your little dog too can take one for the nation?
    Gee that’s generous.

  29. Cowards never want to win anything, they just want to share the love all around
No, they want to flap their gums on small dead,
    angry right fringe chickenhawk blogs.

  30. Gum flappin trolls are cowards … so Right you are Philly boy….not so much about the angry right wing stuff … but your level of self understanding is improving.

  31. The Communists always said that the free world would be destroyed from within. Now listen to the leader of the free world and realize, that if he gets six more years we can all kiss our a$$ goodbye.
