  1. You Think that George Soros would be running around Washington telling everyone to shut up, shut up, shut up. This Administration is giving new meaning to the saying book smart life stupid.

  2. “You VILL provide low cost insurance to high risk individuals, and ve VILL create more bureaucratic red tape for you to navigate, and when you go backrupt ve VILL bail you out. Provided you’ve donated heavily to the Democrats.”

  3. In other news I see on Drudge that insurance rates are set to jump 20%, that’s twenty percent my friends, in Connecticut.
    http://www.ctnow.com/health/hc-health-insurance-rate-hike-0914-20100914,0,5611833.story
“Health insurers are asking for immediate rate hikes of more than 20 percent in Connecticut for some plans, citing rising medical costs and federal health reform laws as reasons.
Both issues — the new federal health care reform and rising medical costs — are significant drivers of the increases, according to filings by insurers with state regulators that were reviewed by The Courant.”
Taken together, the Health Care Reform Law and this new White House threat to the insurers, this indicates to me the true intent of the Democrats is to -destroy- the private insurance system of the USA and replace it with a Canadian-style government run, single payer arrangement.
Which is fascism, pretty much. Joke is that’s not even all of their intentions, because they 100% know from the Canadian and British examples that this concept cannot work. They are nationalizing the health care system for the purpose of breaking something even larger, is the only explanation I can come up with.
What they are -really- up to I can’t even imagine, if they are actually up to anything at all. I suppose its possible that they are driven by pure liberal ideology and refuse to be constrained by mere fiscal reality and historical precedent. Hard to accept a whole political party could be that stupid, but then look at our Liberals.
Or maybe some important people are shorting the health insurance biz. Who knows?

  4. Government corruption at its pinnacle. Those who support the regime get on the gravy train. Those that don’t, well, lets just say be careful where you buy stock.

  5. Why do I get the feeling behind the controls of this machine of mass murder cover up, would be Sean Penn ?
    JMO

  6. From the comments:
“When will the masses realize, these companies are not your friend, they do not care if you die. Actually scratch that. If it helps them to make even one penny more, then by all means die and be quick about it!”
A mind is a sad thing to waste.
Are the politicians your friend little prole?
    Is the government, hmmm?
It isn’t likely that the Democrats are going to strike your name off their registered voters list.
After you die you’ll still be voting Democrat for a long time to come.
How are the private insurance companies supposed to collect continuing premiums from dead people, eh?

  7. You’re right, sasquatch.
I’ve heard many people say that Liberals/Democrats are whistling past the boneyard, but the truth is that they sneak in under cover of night and copy the names off of the monuments on the fresh graves.
All kidding aside, have you ever wondered why Americans register with a political party?
Could it be that Americans understand the above truth better than Canadians that registering with a party insures that miscreants can’t desecrate them or their ancestors by proxy voting the dead for parties that they would have opposed in life?

  8. It’s a Cloward-Piven strategy (overwhelm a govt run system with impossible demands to crash and reset it with you on top)
to turn the top 5 insurance corp’s into ‘Govt Sponsored Enterprises’ like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

  9. Oz: “How are the private insurance companies supposed to collect continuing premiums from dead people, eh?”
    Oz, indeed.
What these inumerate commenters fail to understand is that it doesn’t matter in the least whether the insurance companies are staffed by living saints or by money-grubbing capitalists.
If they can’t turn a profit, they’ll either get out of the business or go out of business.
This much is sure: Americans will be paying more for healthcare. They can pay higher premiums or higher taxes. But there are not going to be any savings.
