Might I suggest that the ratio of “thick, thick skulls” to “regular, enlightened, rational, conservative commenters” in here exists in roughly the same proportion as “Islamic terrorists” to “moderate Muslims” out there?
To flourish, extremists need equivalent extremism within their enemies’ ranks. Islamic terrorists, despite their relatively miniscule numbers, succeed in attracting resources and recruits in no small part by claiming that the West is waging a war on all of Islam. How can they make such a ludicrous claim? Because, among other things, there are people in the West (including some here on this blog) who say they want a war to be waged on all of Islam. And vice versa.
The irony, of course, is that these “thick, thick skulls” are far more similar to the terrorists that they despise than they’d ever care to admit — equally ideology-driven, equally prejudicial, equally close-minded. They are their enemies’ best friends.
I’m heartened to see you denouncing them (might I also suggest that next time, by name?).

I suggest a reading of the above. It even gives examples of Mohammed’s deliberate lies, eg, signing a peace treaty, which gave him time to prepare for an attack on Mecca two years later.
Lying to Others is an attribute of tribalism. It’s even permitted in Judaism, where it is permitted to lie to Others. The understanding that Islam is a tribal system of beliefs, which rejects all other peoples, can’t be overlooked. It’s vital to any view of Islam.

That’s hogwash. We’re called to be alert, to be sentries on the watchtowers, to speak truth to lies, to love — which often means tough love and doing what needs to be done so that evil doesn’t flourish.
This is the reason why I keep harping on what we in the West have lost by chucking our Christian faith into the trash bin. We’re unprepared, we’ve been disarmed, and we are easy prey to the I-mean-it jihadists.
Scripture makes it very clear: We are not to declare “peace, peace, where there is no peace.” And, yet, this is exactly what disarmed, secular Westerners are doing with our “open,” “diverse,” and “tolerant,” “multiculturalism.” What dupes we’ve become. We’ve been seduced into thinking, indiscriminately, that we should just be one big, happy family while one part of this “happy family” is stealing the jewels and blowing up and burning down our houses.

You need only think about the proposed dedication date of this VICTORY MOSQUE — Sept 11, 2011, exactly 10 years after the atrocity — to know what a calculated, triumphal insult this is.

In my personal circle of acquaintance, certainly. I know a lot of Muslims, they are all doctors, nurses, physical therapists. Their opinions, with very few exceptions, closely resemble Raheel Raza’s. They are Conservatives, in other words.
Out there in the big wide world? Not a chance.

Having lived in both Paris and Londonistan I am not so certain about the Islamification of Western Europe as some. I still think we are likely to see the rise of violent nationalist/totalitarian rule in places like France, Germany, UK, Netherlands where the Muslims and other foreigners are rounded up and deported or killed. In any case, whatever happens, it won’t be pretty.
