  1. Yes – I saw her comments on O’Reilly’s show. For once, he didn’t interrupt (he has a very bad habit of interrupting his speakers)..and let her finish her excellent statement. It actually silenced him.
She said it perfectly. Actually pointed out that a mosque is an exclusive place of prayer for Muslims and therefore, isn’t open to debate or dialogue with non-Muslims. So, how can it be defined as an act of dialogue with or tolerance for or respect for – non-Muslims?
And her terminology! She was explicit against ‘bleeding heart liberals’ (eg, Bloomberg) and the ignorant agenda of ‘political correctness’.

  2. I was watching OReilly when she came on. I had to rewind and listen to her again to understand what she actually said. She absolutely floored Bill, he apparently did not expect the response he got. Good for her and thank God for DVRs.

  3. How long before she has a fatwa on her life. The radicals will now say that she is a woman and her comments do not speak for Allah, only the imans have that authority.

  4. She joins the list of great women of the East: Brigitte Gabriel, Wafa Sultan and Ayan Hirsi Ali.

  5. Since CAIR is now tied to Hamas and terrorism funding, it’s no shock that Bill didn’t phone Dr.Sheema Khan from CAIR who would support the Mosque with her same Arar Inquiry tripe about Islamophobia and anti-Muslim oppression in Canada.
Ms.Khan has supported the Khadr’s, Momin Khawajaand the Toronto 18 along with the 26 illegals deported from Canada with expired Visa’s acquired by fake ID and forged Pakistani Passports.
Ms.Khan jumped the shark long ago and her big error was the aiding and abetting of Maher Arar’s tax-fraud extortion to sue us for millions for what the CBC said in 2003 Jordan had done to Arar.
Khan defends the Khadrs, is there any more to say about this pro-Shariah Wahhabi Muslims that crusaded with Dr.Elmasry for Shariah in Canada.
Thank god for the MCC, and I hope Dr.Elmasry goes back to his Islamic hell-hole place of birth that he pines for as he bashing Canada and Jews while on our soil.

  6. // Actually pointed out that a mosque is an exclusive place of prayer for Muslims and therefore, isn’t open to debate or dialogue //
    From her statement
“The Qur’an commands us Muslims to, ‘Be considerate when you debate with the People of the Book’ — i.e., Jews and Christians [chapter 29, verse 46]. Building an exclusive place of worship for Muslims at the place where Muslims killed thousands of New Yorkers, is not being considerate or sensitive, it is undoubtedly an act of “fitna,” the letter added.
But the centre is not just a mosque.
    &
“Rauf and Khan have said Park51 — envisaged as a 15-story structure, including a mosque, cultural center and auditorium — will promote greater interfaith dialogue. ”

  7. Watched this on FNC yesterday, and was duly impressed by this woman. A shame I have to see her for the first time on an American cable news program — no doubt she is persona non grata on CBC and other ‘progressive’ Canadian news channels.
Also, it’s an extremely rare event to see Bill quite literally left speechless. Took him a few moments to compose himself to reply with a well-paid compliment.

  8. Wouldn’t it be just incredible if eventually, the entire Islamic Jihad got shut down by Muslim women who have just had enough of their psychopathic Muslim men?

  9. // A shame I have to see her for the first time on an American cable news program — no doubt she is persona non grata on CBC and other ‘progressive’ Canadian news channels. //
From her site, she’s hardly kept her light under a bushel.
// A constant presence on television, she has appeared as a regular panelist on Jane Hawtin Live, Michael Coren, Ben Mergui Live, Vision, CBC, CTV, City TV, TVO, Faith Journal and Behind the Line on CTS, OMNI as well as on CBC and CFRB radio. WTN (Women’s Television Network) aired a special documentary on Raheel titled “Family Dance” as part of a series on women who juggle careers, families and hobbies. Raheel also has the distinction of being the first South Asian woman to do the narration for the Gemini award-winning CBC documentary “Runaway Grooms”. //

  10. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing, and he became a groveling sniveling stunned fool. Bravo for her, many Muslims realise that if the Islamic Supremacists’ win their lives will be a living hell as well.

  11. The truth outs. I bet this Lady comes in for a barrage of hate from co-Religionists.
    She broke the silence.

  12. Dizzy, Rauf and Khan are lying. It’s what Muslims do. They are commanded to do it by their “holy” book, the koran. The doctrine is called “taqqiya”, and it means strategic lying to defeat the infidel.
Even Raheel Raza is engaging in a form of it, by quoting from some of the so-called “peaceful” verses of the koran, and glossing over the hateful ones.

  13. Abe,
Possibly….but there are enough jihadi women out there as well….the Khadr daughter, the wives of the Toronto 18 (who were pushing their husbands towards these acts)
At the risk of being crude, the “power of the p*ssy” plays an important motivating factor in these cultures it seems, perhaps all cultures.
And it is apparent on both sides of the debate. But strong voices on right side might convince the other women to use their power for good not evil.

  14. I’m sure the stunning progress made by the people of Pakistan under their enlightened Muslim rulers will convince the rest of the world to take up this obviously superior system of ethics and social organization.
I mean, once they clean away the dying oxen and find the last of the naked old men.

  15. Hat tip to ME!!! @ Reader Tips this morning @ 10:16 A.M. with a tip of the hat to Dr. Roy who posted it @ 9:40 last night!
It’s good that we’re all on the same page, Cjunk. This Raheel Raza’s one swell woman. ‘Too bad Moro…er, Mayor Bloomberg’s such a wuss, aka, “bleeding heart white liberal.”

  16. Islam can go through a reformation as Christianity did in the 16th century. The time is right. Hopefully the reformers will win out before the islamofascists bury their coreligionists and us. Raheel Raza, Tarek Fatah and Irshad Manji are leading the charge. They deserve our support.
I’ve just finished Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s book, “Nomad”. A point she emphasizes, and which Raheel Raza made quite clear, is that kowtowing to the radicals hurts reformist Muslims at least as much as it hurts us. By caving in to the radicals, they are emboldened and the reformists feel increasingly isolated and unsupported. By legitimizing Shari’a, Burqas and all the mechanisms of oppression and control inherent in the wahabist strain of Islam, “liberal” bleeding hearts make the enslavement of Muslims, and Muslim women in particular, that much easier for the islamofascists and facilitate the destruction of the genuinely tolerant and secular society in which we and many Muslims would truly prefer to live. And as pointed out by Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Father Raymond de Souza, most often the antidote to bad religion is good religion, not no religion. Ali, although herself an atheist, believes that Christians are dropping the ball on this one, and should be reaching out to Muslims providing opportunities and encouragement for conversion. A helping hand for reformists should be a good first step.

  17. Mayor Bloomberg’s is a puppet of George SOROS
This fake mosque (they only own 1/2 the land) at ground Zero has all devious hallmarks of a sick evil mind…The freak in the WH is behind this…

  18. Bloomberg and the ACLU have their heads stuck so far up their collective butts that they can’t walk straight.

  19. // lying. It’s what Muslims do. They are commanded to do it by their “holy” book, the koran. The doctrine is called “taqqiya”, //
“Within the Islamic theological framework the concept of taqiyya (تقیه) pronounced as ‘’tagiyeh’’ by speakers of Iranian Persian, derives from the Arabic triliteral root waw-qaf-ya and denotes ‘piety, devotion, uprightness, and godliness[1] refers to the practice of precautionary dissimulation whereby believers may conceal their faith when under threat, persecution or compulsion. […]
The practice of concealing one’s faith in dangerous circumstances originates in the Qur’an itself, which deems blameless those who disguise their beliefs in such cases. ”
Sounds like a healthy desire to avoid martyrdom.
As for Raheel Raza, if a christian preacher ecnouraged his flock by quoting some “peaceful” biblical verse instead of the various edicts on stoning, would he be lying?
If Ms Raza is floating inaccuracies, it is by talking about “an exclusive place of prayer” “at” ground zero —
Take a walk from ground zero to 51Park

  20. When you see protests about Aboriginal Reserves in Canada, its women blowing the whistle on their male chauvinist pig chiefs. Likewise, its a woman blowing the whistle on their male chauvinist pig imams.
Now if only they were packin’ heat, perhaps the boyz would listen to them.

  21. Maybe some of you should think twice when you paint all Muslims with the same brush

  22. DrD is absolutely right: the West is woefully off base pandering to the Islamists.
CAIR for example once had a goal of 100,000 members; it then dropped the goal to 60,000. At the time of the publication of the book below, they had about 5200 members. Kinda like the customer list of a small business.
They also radically overstate the muslim population: 6-8 million, whereas the actual number is more like 2-3 million. This is very important because our political whores are selling us out based on a false sense of their voting power.
Read Muslim Mafia (and don’t be put off by the title: the Muslim Brotherhood is organized like the Mafia, and according to FBI agents they’re way, way smarter, and it’s 10x harder to flip a brother than a mafiosi.)
3/4 or so of all the mosques in the US are held by NAIT (North American Islamic Trust). Notice, they’re after the whole continent, not just the USA. NAIT is a Muslim Brotherhood front. There are about 100 MB fronts.
The Muslim Brotherhood is not a loose federation, which I had thought before reading this essential book.
It is not an exaggeration to say that the majority of mosques in NA are actually jihadi beachheads, not unlike military bases.
The West needs to refine the definition of religion. To avoid the appearance of discrimination (without mentioning Islam) it should also criminalize foreign funding of places of worship and “community centres”.

  23. pond scum said: “Maybe some of you should think twice when you paint all Muslims with the same brush.”
I would very much like to see you produce a quote from -anybody- who posts here who -ever- said all Muslims are the same. Maybe you should leave off painting all Conservatives with the same brush, pond scum.

  24. Well said, Phantom. You took the words right out of my mouth.
Right of Centre, I suggest you smarten up.

  25. When you look up Manhattan it has a population of 1.6 million of which only 2.4% are Muslims.
I calculate the total to be 38,400 – why is there a need for even more mosques anyway?

  26. Rose @ 2.09 “groveling sniveling stunned foo”
What a total misrepresentation of O’Reilly’s reaction, Rose. What newspaper do you write for?
Also, batb, I didn’t know it was a contest. I was first on it in a comment just as her segment ended.
What have I won? An autographed photograph of Kate?
This is a sheesh! moment. Like, grow up.

  27. I agree with BCer i do not trust any muslim period . there book talks about ling cheating and stealing in order to spread islam .
So to me I still want everyone of them out of here remeebr “mr.harper where are you i will throw my shoe at you”
muslims are only loyal to themselves and there religion they refuse to accept any western nation as there own and as soon as they try to there throat’s are slit ,there mother chokes them with a scarf …there father and brother kill them youk now how it goes !!!

  28. batb = get up on the wrong side of the bed?
Hah! At 82 I’m entitled to my entitlements and thinking it was childish is one of my entitlements – today, anyway. ;))

  29. Heh, dizzy, you quote a definition of taqqiya which is in itself taqqiya. LOL. (He got it out of wikipedia, folks.)
How about the words of the head pedophile himself?
Muhammad said: “Lying is wrong, except in three things: the lie of a man to his wife to make her content with him; a lie to an enemy, for war is deception; or a lie to settle trouble between people” [Ahmad, 6.459. H]
And make no mistake about it, islam is perpetually at war with the civilized world. They are either actively fighting, or in a state of truce. Peaceful coexistence is out of the question, per their book.
That doesn’t mean that all people who call themselves muslims are necessarily the enemy; most of them are born into the cult, and dare not leave for fear of being killed for apostasy, or at the very least, being cut off from their families. But when muslims start acting as spokespersons for the cult, then any statement they make has to be vetted for possible taqqiya.
I’m waiting for Raheel Raza to make some statements that repudiate some of the truly evil verses in the koran. If she will do that, I will accord her some respect. For the time being, all I see from her is a difference in tactics; she is practising the jihad of the honeyed tongue, and Rauf is practising the jihad of contemptuous force.

  30. I had bookmarked this website over a year ago.
Now I am a bit of an old suspicious character as far as Islam is concerned. At one time a statement was made to the effect that while militant Islamic groups had tax payer funds- The Muslim Canadian Congress did not.

Ok, what I do say is this and use the words of a former American president.

    Trust, but verify.

    Yep, give ’em a chance.

  31. Well, looks like I owe Right of Center an apology. Two people just like he said, right here on this thread. Sorry dude, you were right.
Truly, there are some thick, thick skulls out there.

  32. Shut up phantom ,your assuming alot of this woman …i want you to prove to me that she is not pandering to soften the image of islam . prove it words of the kind she uses are very easy to spew out over t.v. airwaves …how about as a muslim denoucing the actions in bali,9/11 and 7/7 and all of the other also quoting some of the terrible thing’s the koran has to say and talk about a reformation of the koran to stop this barbaric death cult from killing more completley innocent….wait for it ….jew’s,christians, gay’s ,athiest’s,apostates, blastphemers, muslims, children, women…hindhu’s,sieks, nurses docotr’s lawyer’s…ok well we can leavwe the lawyers in there …LOL …..JUST KIDDING. get my point ..again why doesn’t she call for the reformation of the religion to put down it’s arm’s why …becaseu if they did and the jew’s were at the heart of this whole conspiracy lol sooner or later it would be revealed it would be impossible to deny .
But you know and i know what the truth is …!!
Sorry phantom i generally like your post’s i think your are intellegent and well spoken but your getting sucked into it.
I agree she did anwer much bettert han what i have ever herd a muslim answer before but it will take alot more than that to win me over.

  33. I like her too, a lot; but there’s something a little desperate about how grateful we are for what she said, which was really just sane, reasonable and ordinary.
Moderate Muslims like her certainly exist, but we don’t seem to hear from them very often.
(batb @9:49 – so it’s Tom Waits tag you’re playing? Very well; this one might make you mellow:

  34. I believe Phantom this is why their is distrust. It was not long ago an American officer went Jihad.
Kind of hard to put your life in the hands of folks who make lying a virtue. Not all by any means, but that dishonesty to non Muslims, is a standard belief in their Holy book.

  35. Maybe some of you should think twice when you paint all Muslims with the same brush
Our Christian society does not understand why moderate Muslims do not speak out against the Muslim terrorists. When Christian terrorists were running rampant in Ireland, Christians all over the world spoke out against the terrorism. The reason Muslims are silent is because they live in fear of reprisals. My friend in Thailand has watched Islam spread through Thailand and Malaysia. The tactics they use explains a lot about their goals and values. When the Muslims come into an area the first thing they do is recruit the least intelligent thugs. For one thing they’re the easiest target group, but more importantly they use these thugs to pressure others to convert and to bring reprisals to anyone who speaks out against them. Very insidious, very effective, and totally foreign to our Christian based value system. They use our kindness and forgiveness against us; they see it as a sign of weakness. The closest parallel to the Muslim modus operandi is the techniques used by Hitler’s Third Reich to brainwash the German people and dominate Europe. The threat is just as strong, and the longer we try to ignore it the worse it will become.

// Heh, dizzy, you quote a definition of taqqiya which is in itself taqqiya. LOL. (He got it out of wikipedia, folks.) //
Heh yourself. The definition was from the Oxford Dictionary of Islam [you shouldn’t be afraid of wikipedia]
    Whereas your definition
// lying. It’s what Muslims do. They are commanded to do it by their “holy” book, the koran. The doctrine is called “taqqiya”, //
is presumably sucked out of your thumb.
In support, you offer a Muhammad quote purportedly from the man of a million hadiths, who was born 150 years after Muhammad died.
So, contrary to your view that muslims lie, you are apparently more than willing to believe if the statement is nasty enough.
Perhaps this provides some context —
//It is becoming increasingly common in American political commentary as Islamophobic rhetoric has developed as a genre of the “paranoid style” of American politics, to hear or read that Islam encourages Muslims to lie to nonbelievers, and that therefore no one of Muslim heritage should be believed, particularly when they adopt moderate or constructive stances.
This is, of course, immediately familiar to anyone with a familiarity with Western anti-Semitism, which has always held that Jews are religiously authorized to lie [..].//
[the jewish reference is presumably to the Kol Nidre]
I shall be interested to hear the Ms Raza’s report of her visit to New York on Tuesday, August 10 to deliver the MCC letter

  37. Issues like gun control, global warming, abortion and the Muslim agenda tend to polarize opinions. People’s beliefs in those issues define who they are in their social milieu. When that happens, no amount of facts, logic or reason will change their preconceived ideas, and why should they? People don’t want their beliefs challenged, they’re usually looking for others to agree with them.
All you can do is lead a person to knowledge, you can’t make them think.
