In places like Teheran or Damascus, Obama’s racial heritage, his Harvard Law Review billet, his membership in the Trinity Church, his brotherhood with Wright and Ayers, all that and more mean less than zero. To such thugs, Obama is the face of America, and he is to be tested rather than worshipped. Hugo Chavez is not a Harvard dean; Putin is not a senior Newsweek editor. Their legs do not tingle when they hear the president, except perhaps in giddy anticipation of what they might wrestle from him. They are not impressed with identity politics; they care little for degrees or titles; they have no elite white guilt. Again, Obama is just an American president who must be analyzed, tested, and if need be dared and humiliated.
Bonus entertainment, a comparison.
Obamassiah is far worse, far more dangerous to America’s future.
Jimmy at least had some life experience, including serving in the Navy.

That honestly does sum him up quite succinctly. It’s all a voter really needed to know when choosing their next leader. Instead, a majority of Americans allowed themselves to be mesmerized by inane platitudes. The triumph of style over substance strikes again. We’re now close to the point where it makes no difference if “substance” reasserts itself or not, because the people putting money in the pot are simply outvoted by those grabbing fistfuls of it. We’re in for quite a ride!
Obama is disastrous for America. And for the world of which the USA is a vital part.
Obama, as a pathological narcissist, has no ability to work for the American people or the USA. He needs their adulation; or if he cannot obtain that, still, he needs to feel that he has power over them.
He has no interest in the development of policies, laws, the economy. He follows the mandate provided for him by his handlers, the radical Democrats of the BackRoom Gang who run Obama and act as his ‘think-tank’. He himself doesn’t come up with any policies or programs or even, probably, understand the nature and results of what they are ‘advising’ him to promote.
As he did when he was editor of the Harvard Law Review, Obama does little work. He even now, spends more time on vacation, playing golf, dining and partying..and talking, talking..than on government issues.
So, he can tell Brewer of Arizona, that her immigration bill is ‘flawed’ and ‘unwelcome’ and might promote discrimination – and that he is against it because he wants, first, immigration ‘reform’ (i.e., amnesty). But he is ignoring that his sworn duty is to uphold the laws of the land. He’s required to act; and the current laws require him to secure the borders. Obama isn’t interested; he says that he won’t enforce these laws…until the legislature passes an immigration bill. That’s holding the American people hostage to His Will.
That VDH article is excellent. And accurate.
Obama reminds me of how a number of Roman Caesars were chosen and how they governed.

Personally I’m hoping for a much bigger push back than that. I’m hoping that the the pendalum swings back so far that we see a new government dismantle SEIU, the teachers union, Affirmative Action, Acorn, etc. Plus I’d like to see the Marxist and Socialist treated like the pariah they are and driven back into the shadows.
I want someone who makes Reagan look like Mr Rogers.

Great to see a U.S. President with socialist tendencies and the courage to implement policies that reflect such.

Carter and Obama truly are mirror images.
I knew from the moment he said he would meet with Iran without pre-conditions that his policies would be dangerous and he shouldn’t have been elected. How do you calm a violent rogue theocratic state that jails its own people, kills journalists like Zehra Kazemi and threatens to wipe Israel off the map?
Now, we know how rich in dangerous folly it is to elect a man such as Obama. I’m sure he doesn’t care what state he leaves the country in when he is booted from office. The next president will have plenty to lay at his feet but won’t because there will be so much work to do.
Come on guys, Obama is great. He combines the intelligence of Carter, with the honesty of Clinton, and the tact of Truman combined with the effectiveness of Gore, and the judgement of Kerry. Not to mention his lovely wife, Lt. Whorf.
