I get the distinct impression that her love of the “Word made flesh” has more to do with her desire that her words might somehow come to fruition far more than the traditional Christian meaning of the Word made Flesh.

Hence, GOD became a person in the form of Jesus, or expression of, when the Word became flesh and dwelt among man. That’s it, nothing more, just an awkward translation into English which makes perfect sense in Greek and even better sense from the Christian understanding of who Jesus was.
