  12. The nature of the complaints listed in this article show that the Obama administration knows what everyone else knows: these guys are irrelevant. Why should they provide access? They have their own photographers, their own website, and they can get on TV whenever they need to. What services do the press provide?

    Ten years, eight of which were spent hating Bush, and this is the worst he’s seen? Well now, isn’t that something. Tired of getting kicked around, I guess.

  14. I think it’s an issue of control. Obama, to repeat ad nauseum, is a pathological narcissist. He has to control you, not the other way around.
    He has to remind the Press Corps that they are His, and if and when he’s not interested in them, so be it.
    On another aspect of Obama, I suspect that as the press becomes more critical of him, and it is happening more and more in the mainstream, Obama is going to retreat more into his Virtual World, filled with his authored images – and the press is going to find themselves more excluded from entering this world.

    This was my take as well from the story. The “concerns” of the press pool were, for the most part, shallow and superficial.
    For God’s sake, the precipitating “event” for the tète-a-tète was that the press wasn’t notified about the president attending his daughter’s soccer game.
    Not waiting for the asteroid, indeed.

  19. If the poodles are getting restless, perhaps their owners are also getting worried about other quid pro quos not showing up.
    A relative once told me he lived across from a fire station years ago when it converted to truck mounted water pumps. When the fire bell rang the horses still moved by themselves to their positions on the old steam pump wagons expecting to be harnessed up as usual for several weeks afterward. But the pumper trucks worked without fail and the horses stopped responding. Very sad sight.

    Which you would have figured was the big tip off to the pea brained Press. In that room with half wits it never occurred to them they are the new Fox.

    Nor it seems do they see the rank hypocrisy of boycotting another part of the press (Fox) which is now their fate. Besides these geniuses don’t see the bias monster they have become. Owned, slaves, peons of democrats . The MSM today!
